I admire Machado as a ball player. He’s an amazing talent. However, his nonchalance always drove me crazy. So I am gratified to see him stepping up as a leader and getting fired up. I like this version of Manny.

I think the best part about this is Machado telling Tatis he's the best. It's a frustrating situation, and I honestly think Machado is trying to the best he can for Tatis and the ball club here.

Manny did exactly what he should've done in that situation. I do understand why Fernando was frustrated, but both pitches were definitely in the zone.

Its been a very frustrating 2nd half of the season for the Padres. I think it started with Tatis' lackluster ASG, he definitely wanted to show more of what he can do, hes been on and off since then and you can see him get frustrated kinda often. Nice to see Manny try to be a voice of reason, kinda, and hopefully they can pull it together

I’d say it’s holding him back recently but only the last couple series, he is normally pretty good with that stuff. Especially for his young age of 22 and level of stardom already.

They didn’t actually throw out the grounds crew. They just wanted them off the field. The grounds crew came out on the sidelines because heavy rain was coming and they wanted to be ready. The umps told them to go back to the grounds crew area. They didn’t actually get ejected like so many people said online.

(Fucking Nuttings) Your Shohei videos earlier in the season gave me something to watch and I am slowly getting back in to it. Just feels weird pulling for someone not the Pirates or Giants. That’s all it takes for you? All the dirty slides and one that ended Dustin Pedroia’s career from a hall of fame career to a good career to career ending. And not to mention all the other dirty plays and lack of hustle, etc. He only got fired up because Tatis is the best player. If Tatis isn’t at his best, then they won’t even have a chance to make the playoffs. I live in a world where you have major consequences for derailing careers or doing 1000 dirty moves in baseball. Sorry, I don’t give him a pass. Respect is earned not in one moment but over a course of moments. It’s being consistent with whatever that earns the respect of your peers. What he did with Tatis was good for their team, but it definitely doesn’t outweigh all the things he’s done over the course of his career.

Props to Tyler O’Neill for keeping his composure after being called out on strikes three times on pitches well outside the zone. He kept his mouth shut and hit the game winning HR in his fourth AB.
Yeah, I saw that. Not only did he avoid arguing, he kept his cool for his 4th up. That’s exactly why Machado was riding Tatís. Tatís was letting it get to him. Something else: I don’t think Tatís thought it was a bad call. I think he was mad at himself. He might have that childish ego that wants to blame others or he might not, but regardless he was letting it get to him and acting out. Tingler obviously just wanted to go home and took the first opportunity. The team needs to learn from that, how to exploit opportunities when they arise. 😆

Not only is he trying to get TATIS out of his own selfish mind but he is also trying to stand up for the other players on the team that put the team before themselves. Well done Manny, TATIS is a great player no question about it, however be a great “team” player and you won’t get outted by a veteran plain and simple

Seriously! How have more people not realized this??? And this marks the second time that I've seen a ball-strike count get completely bungled this year. IIRC earlier this year someone just walked to first base after ball 3 and nobody asked a question about it.
@@Jmasta7 i noticed it but its the way the video is edited. the "second" curveball for a strike is the same as the first pitch. watch ump and fans reaction and body movement. its actually the same pitch appearing twice in the video. edited incorrectly not an ump mistake
me and my dad saw that right away we rewinded it and it turns out tatis got 4 strikes not 3 we posted a comment to it was just so weird i dont know how jomboy did not notice LOL
@@lockefamily4858 tatis got 3 strikes, Jomboy didn't notice because he screwed up the editing and replayed the first strike twice. Watch the girl walking up from the concourse on the left, easiest way to tell that the clip got replayed.

I have felt for the longest time that the Padres need an old school veteran manager. A leader. A General. Who? Bruce f'in' Bochy. At this point, Jack McKeon with a walker at 90 is better than Andy Green & Jayce Tingler the past few years. Those kind of guys are lifelong bench coaches and nothing more.
