If the capture button isn't also a touch ID, then that's a huge opportunity missed
I cant imagine anything much different with the 16 other than more ai, which is to be expected in 2024 and beyond
Camera placement, better haptics, bigger screens, much better microphones, vapor chamber for stable gaming performance and well, lil bit lighter i guess The AI implementation on the system and hardware level could be revolutionary when it comes to usage
At this moment, I’m poised to buy the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I currently have the iPhone 14 Pro. I’ve decided to upgrade every 2-3 year now instead of every year. I’m switching back to the Pro Max after a number of years with Pro.
Why would you upgrade every year in the first place?

@@ProfSfcs Considering that you've now made the decision to upgrade every 2-3 year, But for previous models too there were only incremental changes, so doesn't really justify your thesis to upgrade every year for those models considering the logic that you gave to not upgrade for 15 pro max this time !!

I upgrade every 2-3 years or if I decide I like the model coming out! I don’t like upgrading every year because it’s the same phone as before with slightly system upgrading. I have the 14 pro max and I’m excited to see how this 16 pro max is different ❤️

At this point, Apple is going to have to do something crazy and outside the box for me to drop $1500 on a new phone. Not even looking forward to any of their products now with the economy what it is. I’m all in on Apple, but “ALL” is not the definitive qualifier that it once was.

The 5X optical zooms on the Pro Max (I have the 15) is still far inferior to zooms on the Samsung Galaxies- (I have a s21 Ultra). So an Astro zoom or even giving us a 49mp sensor on the 5X is needed.

I have a 14 Pro. As always I have the upgrade itch, but I’m not even sure when I’ll be able to justify an upgrade. The 16 is tempting because my phone will be paid off, but it might not even make sense until at least the 17 or later for me.

I really hope that the capture button is not a thing. Or if it is that it goes above the power button so those who does not need this button it will be more out of the way so the user does not end up pressing this new button all the time.

I have an iPhone 13 Pro and was planning on making this my next upgrade but now am not sure. The lack of a MicroLED display is one of the critical issues. It also looks like we won't get microLED any time before the next decade. Apple has shut down their MicroLED project and laid off the engineers. I may continue to remain on the Fibonacchi upgrade cycle and wait for the iPhone 21!

I'd love to see 7 years of OS updates. Sure Apple already does 5 but Samsung and Google passed out Apple, so I'd kinda like to see 7 or 8 years of updates.
If they extend the amount of updates, you can expect IPhones to get REALLY EXPENSIVE😢.
Well that is what has been promised on android but we will have to wait an see how that turns out, Apple doing 5-6yrs of iOS updates pushes it the hardware age for holding up to new software and iPhones hold up better in general

I’m currently rocking a standard sized 512gb iPhone 13. But come September, it is my avowed intention to upgrade to a 1TB Pro-Max iPhone 16. Which I will stick with, until either Jesus comes… or the Vision Pro becomes a viable option.

This is great I get to keep my iPhone 13 Pro Max another year because it’s the last best iPhone . The Dynamic Island killed any upgrade for me since its ugly beginning. So maybe 2025 is my year
The Pro models will have bigger screens, but it's hardly significant. We're talking about a 6% increase in display area. C'mon, that's nothing. You won't even notice. As for titanium, a 19 gram weight saving is also not very significant. You won't notice except in a side-by-side comparison. Whatever the Capture button is for, I am certain I won't care. There's really no good reason to upgrade if you already have an iPhone 14 or 15. If you need a new phone now, just get it. No need to wait.
