Mr Stay Puft has become a good guy
And it's not clear whether the Marshmallow sailor realized who he really is and did not resist his soft sugar cartoon nature, or whether Gozer went crazy after the defeat and transformation and really began to consider himself a Marshmallow sailor, I like the second option even more😁. I've always liked the idea of teaming up with ghosts and getting their abilities and help.
I don't know what I like better about Mr. Stay Puff. Evil or benevolent.

My head cannon is that staypuft in the show isnt gozer, but one of his old forms left behind in our dimension and gained sentience on its own.

This implies that instead of disposing of the marshmallow man after the movie, they collected the remains and trapped him. Which I mean… would explain why they needed a bigger containment unit… but still, what a waste

In the film, yes. But considering this Mr. Stay Puft was in the containment unit and later is friendly to the Ghostbusters, I'd say this Mr. Stay Puft is a completely different entity altogether.
But Gozra was Stay Puft how in thw cartoon he is his own ghost?

Because, simply put, he is his own ghost...this show, despite following similar events of the first Ghostbusters movie, has it's changes, so theoretically probably when they first encountered Stay Puft in this universe, in this timeline, he wasn't a invention of Gozer, or a form of minion for Gozer, just a reckless ghost, that they trapped, here in this different universe

@@raheemhamilton8624The show probably follows similar events of the first film, minus the Gozer minion part, they probably destroyed Stay Puft, only for him to clearly come back, but instead of going through that mess of cleaning their suits up again and just finding it to be way easier anyway, they just have him contained, but it's just it's own different universe anyway, considering other aspects that are different from the main movies and such

They’re super inconsistent with Stay Puff. He was destroyed at the end of 1984 movie not trapped like the other ghosts. Secondly this Stay Puff was the form of the destructor Goozer brought to destroy the Earth. Goozer’s destructor could take any form. The cartoon makes it seem he was he’s own character. However I still love ❤️ this montage.
