GTA Vice City is a Nostalgia B*mb

GTA Vice City was my first REAL leap into the series. While I played a bit of grand theft auto 3, vice city was the first one I was really able to sink my teeth into. So in today's episode of the nostalgic gamers' club, we're taking a look at the box art and "tourist guide" that comes with the game!

  • FYI the guy with the baller shades is lance vance, the guy with the match sticking out his mouth is Ricardo Diaz and the guy pulling down the shades is Sonny. and also each of the gta trilogy covers has a helicopter on it all 3 of them in the top left corner in the first panel.

  • I still have my PS2 version for this game in a perfect condition. It also includes a massive poster of that bikini girl and on the other side there's an entire Vice City map to look at with an orientation section that has the most important buildings + descriptions, districts and where you can find things on the map. It shows what are they selling in the North Point mall, hospital areas, guns, where your allies are staying and so on. You can find everything on that map you'd eventually need.

  • I remember when i was 11 and borrowed VC from friends. They said it sucked because it had no planes, small map, meh missions etc while i just wanted an open world. I got to browse the manual and woah, it soaked me in. Hate on it as you want the world has a LORE, music is amazing and to top it off the gameplay is fun to this day. Iconic entry. Then i bought SA and its manual was a tourist guide: everything was written in R* style, a ton of shops and restaurants to search in-game and landmarks that would be otherwise ignored. But the best thing was the SMELL, oh man 😂

  • i remember back in 2020/2019ish gta vice city content was extremely popular on youtube, people made gta vice city in gta 5 mod showcase videos and they got millions of views, lots of youtube channels themed their entire channel around vice city and there was even a time when it got advertised at the superbowl in 2020. I dont get why its so forgotten especially since gta 6 is literally going to be in vice city!

  • Didn't you guys in the USA get the map that came with the GTA games? I think GTA IV was the last one that had it. It was especially essential for GTA III, cause that didn't have an in-game map. It was a pretty cool social aspect. One guy could play the game and another one was reading the map and giving guidance. It was a time when we had a very tight group of friends who would get together and play games.

    • @@Retro9000 technically there never was, but people used mods on PC to make a multiplayer version, it died out because there was too many variations that people didn't know which one to use. The same thing is happening to GTA 4 now-a-days aswell.

  • I find it kind of lame that you have to censor the word 'bomb' due to KZhead censorship. I made a video titled, "How to build a bomb (+ Testing it on pedestrians)", and it was removed because of the word 'bomb' being in the title.
