  • Thank you so much for this video!!! I made a regular size binder. Since I am trying to budget I did not want to spend the money on those lovely pages you got from Etsy so I created my own in word :)

I studied Financial Peace University from Dave Ramsey and learned a lot. I didn't agree with Dave about credit cards because we live in a credit society. CC are not evil. It's all in how you use them and if you know how to play the credit game. Three terms to learn and understand how they relate to each other: statement date, due date, and utilization rate. YNAB teaches how to use cc responsibly and explains sinking funds for true expenses.

  • I get that things should be pretty and visually appealing to stick with them but etsy and scrap booking supplies are expensive so it just seems funny that so many budget videos start with where to buy things in order to not buy things lol

    @elizabethdacosta1182@elizabethdacosta11826 жыл бұрын
    • Elizabeth Dacosta budget doesn’t mean cheap. Budgeting just helps make sure you know where your money is going. Making room in her budget for fancy Etsy things is possible - just make room for the things you want

      @jessicarana1906@jessicarana19065 жыл бұрын
    • My thoughts precisely! At least it is not a Louis Vuitton planner. I hope the people with the Louis Vuitton planners at least save for them from their "blow" money. I am sure many people can learn from this system and so the KZhead is useful but it does promote a lot of unnecessary spending. Dave Ramsey is about saving so you can also build wealth so you can give more. You can find a planner binder (mini-binder size) at Dollar General for $1. I bought an Avery 1/2 " mini binder as a planner for $5 and use a clear PVC A6 binder from Ebay as my cash envelope wallet. It was $3.25 but I did have to wait 3 weeks for it to come from China. I did buy a couple of useful Etsy printables but checked first for free versions and often found one. I also made some of my own planning sheets. I wish someone would do a "budget" planner on the cheap in the true spirit of frugality.

Been trying to do a budget for a few years and never worked out - it never occurred to me to do a budget planner like this but I love it - and we heard about Dave Ramsay last year and have been reading up. • Thank you for an inspiration! Unfortunately, If I wanted to buy all the supplies you mention, I would already spend like half of our family's monthly budget :/ But it is nice to watch and admire though ^_^

  • I love this system and using envelopes, but how do you do you do that when you have auto payments. And how do you get cash. Are you paid in cash or do you go to the bank on payday and take put the whole paycheck worth of cash? Do you subtract the auto payments from the other expenses and take out that amount? When saving for Christmas gifts or a sinking fund, do you keep that cash in different envelopes or put it in bank account. I just get nervous I'll lose the cash envelopes if it's for saving up. Or do you have multiple accounts where you divide the money. If so how does that all work. Sorry for all the questions. I'm interested in doing the cash envelopes but these questions are holding me back.

  • Did the dividers come with your binder/planner or did you get them from somewhere else?

  • Hello,Jessica. I have a question. Do you budget per month or do you have various pages per month and keep the whole year in one planner? Also, how do you file them at the end of the year, for example if I want to see when I paid for something... I`m not sure if I was clear but I am new at this... thank you...
