    • @@Yichh he didn’t sand off the toothpicks, there still in there, he put sawdust too fill in some of the spots the toothpicks didn’t fill in as you can see, he also did it so he can fill it to the top and then sand it off so it’s level to the other piece of wood

  • Wood glue mixed with the sawdust of your material looks better and sands off easier than super glue. The more fine the dust the better.

  • Wood glue mixed with sawdust works just as well, and would be the same color. Making a plug would look better and make a better repair. Plugging it with a shaped stick from your yard would make a better repair and look about the same as the toothpicks. Not making stupid videos prevents all of this.

    • Chances are there'd be more than 1 hole so.... probably wood suggest measuring it and picking up a length of wooden dowel, be quicker and easier, saw dust works well for a cleaner finish though after the hole is filled in

  • Ideally you put wood glue in before the toothpicks which negates any need for the saw dust on top. With such a tight wedge though it's pretty much unnecessary unless you were going to use the spot for a screw or something.

    • @@S.P.B.222 I think so. As I understood it, the hole had become too big, so it didn't properly grip the wood while screwing, and then they fixed it with a threesome, which worked like a treat. Personally, I'd probably have suggested the wife try some exercises to tighten up, down there, but that's just me. Whatever works, I guess.

  • You should make a tip video about how you can tighten those pesky screws with the plus symbol. I really wish someone made a tool for them because I always find myself having to use two sewing needles to twist them 😮‍💨

    • You can mix sawdust from the same piece of wood with WOOD GLUE. To make color match wood filler. I don't know that it would be necessary in this application. I think that was a table leg that I've been stripped out, and he was trying to put new hardware into. Which would have made the toothpicks a better idea. It could be wrong though.

  • Drill the whole deeper and save the sawdust do the same but the insert wood shouldn't be flush cut just leave room for the sawdust of the original wood, can do the same with cardboard pieces pressed into the hole and some glue instead of the picks
