  • I loved it when she slapped her mother back, it was sooooo satisfying. Whenever I see these dramas and the mother or mother in law slaps the FL, I always wish they would slap them back. I know some people will say it is disrespectful to hit an elder but as far as I'm concerned respect goes both ways. If you disrespect me don't expect me to respect you just because you are older than me. I always say treat people as you want to be treated, so I treat everyone as I hope to be treated myself and try to be respectful to everyone, not just because someone is older than me. Therefore if someone treats me in a certain way I assume they want to be treated in the same way, so if they slap me I will slap them back just to be respectful.

    • I agree with you. But in those Asian dramas, the elderly are supposed to worshiped like gods (no matter how wrong, evil or criminal they are) and slapping a mother is a form of insult and has a much stronger implication than in Western countries.

    • @@yourboy2310 I understand that, but it doesn't stop some of them hitting elderly people on the street just because they don't have as much money as they do. So they have double standards. If they think the elderly should be worshiped like Gods then that should include every elderly person and not just the wealthy ones.

  • Another drama that made me shake my head and go "wth?" I'm kinda getting tired of the story where the leads were married for several years, together, then get divorced, and THEN they fall in love? If you were together for that long and only after the divorce you start noticing things about your ex...*facepalm*...you don't deserve the happy ending. The only part I found mildly entertaining was at the beginning when she left him a report card for his performance the night before. Props!! Thanks

This drama has many good points, the actors are good specially the fl and the personal assistant and the children are cute and lovable but the main plot has no sense to me, i mean, he took away his son even though he didn´t know that she was pregnant with twins and she was in a huge pain because of the child she lost but when they met again and she discovered the truth she didn´t react with anger, she was calm and even flirted with him. He didn´t ask for forgiveness and they behaved as if nothing happened.

  • The ML's mother is absolutely crazy! She asks them not to prosecute the evil girl because she's a good girl who did this in the last resort and it's not her fault. Wake up woman: the evil girl mistreated your grandchild for years, tried to kidnap him and finally tried to murder him. How could the mother possibly ask them to stop the police case? I'm so glad that the ML forced his own mother to move away from them. She's despicable.

He treated her like she was the entrance floor that everyone can step on, he kidnapped her just born child and never looked back, he kept a grudge for so many years against her and he never punished his assistant. She’s been through hell for six years and ten months, alone, struggling with everything by herself, but in the end, just because he did what he supposed to do from the beginning, she forgive him! Pffff! Scriptwriters, you shouldn’t promote such bullsh*t anymore. Acting was all really good, especially the villain mothers, both of them, and the ML. The silent kid played brilliantly.

  • I so love this drama. I love the FL's feistiness when dealing with her family. The hospital scene when her mama ordered her to fix her sister's leg and all the scenes with the ex-mother-in-law. It's that, "I don't give a s--t" attituded. The husband seems to like this new side of her as well.

  • The more I watch these Chinese dramas, or Asian ones, if we go on a more general level, the more it reminds me of historical romantic novels from the West, if we go back about 300 years, until, in some cases, the mid-20th century. All those clichés were common and real. The daughter had to marry as a virgin, she could be kicked out of the house if she became pregnant without being married, or forced to marry, even if she had been abused, or sent to distant relatives until she had the child, to hide the shame. Her boyfriend had to ask the bride's parents for permission to marry, not her, marriages were arranged, dowries were given, there were marriages of convenience, especially in the aristocracy, or between "well-off" families. There have been cases where a woman was locked up as "crazy" for disobeying her family.

  • Honestly, the biggest hangup for me was that I would never have allowed my child to live in the same space as the ML's awful mother... or even a place she had access to. Not even sure I would allow her supervised visits of my children.
