  • How on earth does he manage to get the base color lightened without it being orange-y??? I know the initial highlights are bleach and so not likely to turn orange -- but when he goes back in and does the base color -- WHAT does he use ??? My U.S. hair colorist just cannot get my naturally brown hair to lighten up to a taupe-ish dark blonde. It either doesn't lighten enough or lightens to a point where it's reddish orange.
