    • This is called 採青 (pronounce as cai qing), which means picking or plucking the greens. Lion dance performance or competition usually has a story line, where there is a vegetable (green) or flower or wine bottle to retrieve and the lion has to go through obstacles to get it. In this video the green is hanging between the 2 poles, thus the lion has to show how he gets the green. 🍀☺️

Mostly doing the lifting and control. Will not forget to mention the back pain as well as the performance is done, you can't stand straight right away. It will hurt your back and the upper part of your buttocks. But it's fun. Especially you guys have executed it perfectly, you will feel proud you did it. 😊

    • Ephesians‬ ‭6:10‭-‬18 says, Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints. The bible is no old book. You have to really let Christ open your eyes; to see the world in shambles. Many people say it's a religion to lock up people in chains, and say it's a rule book.. why? Because people hate hearing the truth, it hurts their flesh, it's hurts their pride, it's exposes on what things have they done..people love this world so much, s*x, money, power, women, supercars.. things of this world. Still trying to find something that can fill that emptiness in your heart. You can't find that in this world.. only in Christ, the bible is no chains, it's a chainbreaker. Breaking your sins into pieces... Repent now, and turn back to the true Lord only.. God bless.😊😊

    • @@riadhifrzn I dont know the why's behind how the dance got its name. That is just what I was told it was called when I've seen it preformed locally. I wouldn't be surprised that ancient dynasties were aware of lions even if they did not have them locally. Just as likely the "lion" part is a weird translation quirk that the English language likes to pull out of hats. Regarding where lions lived, I don't know if they ever stretched into what is modern mainland China but I do know they once were as far east as modern India. There were even populations in the southern parts of Europe, like Greece and Hungary. The European lion populations are believed to have been over hunted to extinction and India's population may have suffered the same fate but don't quote me on that. Now a days you are correct in them being primarily limited to smaller regions on the African continent.

  • For me huge respect to these dancers cause the difficulty level was way increased by dancing on poles which were at different distances and have that balance and precision is awesome ❤❤❤❤ respect
