  • I was a local and state LEO. Every time I worked with the FBI, I was taken by arrogance, blowing money like a sailor on leave, and lack of concern for humans. Some great men and women. Many dedicated. However, locals with a fraction of their budget get the job done. Hoover was the least patriotic citizen of his time and set the agency up for inefficiency.

    • I'm not as enthusiastic as you are about the voice-over; it lacks modulation. That is to say that by using a tone which is set permanently at 'this is amazing', the listener tires of it. CI's are never respected, always expendable and are frequently used to circumvent constitutional protections against government invasiveness. They also tend to let CI's get away with minor crimes (sometimes worse) until its convenient to set them up. The money & ample favors paid out to CI's alone should invalidate them.

  • As a True Crime fan who has seen MANY FBI cases, this was the Worst Performance by G-Men that I've ever seen. 1) They trace the get away car to Las Vegas, then Wyoming and then back to Albuquerque, so there is a VERY Good Chance that they have the right car. 2) Yet when Chubbuck's wife tells them that many of her relatives often "borrow" her car without her knowledge, they just say "Thank You" and walk away ??? 3) The FBI then lets this guy get away with umpteen more robberies and Just WAIT Until The Wife Calls Them to come over so she can snitch on her husband ??? You don't need a PhD in Common Sense to figure out that as soon as the wife says other relatives use her car that the BEST Way To Go would be to start investigating and interviewing all those in her social circle. Since Chubbuck was her husband, they wouldn't have far to go, especially because he has a record for violent crime. I must make myself believe that the producers of this video just BLEW IT Badly somehow and maybe left out a critical detail, because there is NO Way that G-Men would just walk away from an OBVIOUS Lead like that one. NO Way !!!

Then they were too scared to leave the room and waited for 16 more friends to show up. Take away the badges and titles all that and see how that sounds. To me it sounds like these gentlemen need a lot more CQB training and a psych eval because that level of fear and inexperience is how innocent people get killed.

I almost can`t fault you after watching that video myself. They try to hammer that "he is dangerous" point home again and again, so often, at times I almost believed it myself. Still, it is and remains total bs! Ever stopped to think why nobody was hurt? From where I`m standing, I only see a guy who likes stealing money. That is not a danger in and of itself! You want proof? He let go a witness, knowing perfectly well she was 100% able and willing to run straight to the cops and identify him. Still he still let that woman, the one whom he had carjacked go. If he was so violent, and addicted to lord knows what, and the only thing he cared about was his freedom, I need you to explain to me why he did not just kill the woman and take her car?

    • I was wondering that since back when the logical explanation still was that a decent camera was too expensive, but these days, (I think) it probably is more about the size of the footage, since even the hardware you have for private household systems has better image quality now. Somewhere they need to store all of that footage, and storing loads of video files you probably won`t ever need is a costly affair, also hq video is still way bigger than whatever they got there. Most smaller stores only keep the footage for a month or so, for exactly that reason.

  • The main problem is that these FBI guys are just 9 to 5 employees, who really do not care as long as it does'nt happen on their shift, this is why the crims are able to outwit most FBI agents, simply because they are 9 to 5 guys. Law enforcement agencies should be 24 / 7. they should be on any case full time. these guys get paid money for old rope.

    • I live in California, and one bank I used to go to required customers to go In one door, one person at a time, let door shut behind you , wait for security to unlock the next door, then you can proceed to the line and wait your turn. The exit was also on the opposite side and also required customers to go in one door and wait for the next door to unlock, then exit.
