J A ...sounds like a job for QUENTIN TERIENTINO!!!!!! Even though he came close with “Pulp Fiction”
@@eronacalloway9159 actually the first song appears in "Once upon a time in Hollywood" (at least the song of the original sample)
gotta love all the "that doesn't exist"-type comments
Yep.... Tarantino needs to make a movie to this album
Sounds a lot like Jack Nitszche! He wrote the theme from Deathproof and other Tarantino movies :)
KZhead algorithm is a gold mine for dope music discovery
Totally!
Agreed❤
This is just the truth! 💜🙌🏾
100% agree, I found this sound like 2 years ago thanks to the YT algorithm and it's been a consistent song for my work / concentration periods.
No matter how mad my wife is at me when I put this album on and walk around the house with an over-exaggerated yet slow motion walk she always smiles.

Seriously, every song on this album is my theme song for daily situations. Walking down the street like a badass. Walking into a Costco with my shades on like a badass. Walking through the front door of a house party with a hottie on my arm like a badass. Vacuuming my carpets like a badass. Doing my laundry like a badass. This album is for situational badasses.
Bad ass comment.

Wonder how many people found this by accident. Cuz i know i did.

Amen to that😄😄
i dig it
So did I.
me too!! off a booker t and the mg's video
It feels like walking into a record store and picking up a record randomly out of sheer curiosity and to be blown away by the music. Thank you for sharing.
this is so accurate lol, and literally one of the best things about music
I love that feeling. Like YOU discovered something special.
That’s exactly how I felt. got this recommended by YT and I’m more than glad it did
I'm a DJ of 30+ years and only discovered this album 2 years ago and after searching for this on vinyl my partner just found me a copy. This is up there with Smokers Delight, Blue Lines and Dumby. If you are not a fan by now I pity you. This whole album is pure gold!
sorry sir but what is dumby?
Are you a radio station DJ. If so may I take the liberty to ask a question please. Does a DJ have complete discretion in what music to play? Ok so for a program named "sunset melodies" you will not choose Ace Of Spades - but are you free to choose any track that fits a theme or are there guidelines from management? Happy DJing.....
Oh man, i was searchig for the band iron horse, another masterpieces in bluegrass.

Yep
Listening to these melodies takes me back to a beautiful time, reminiscing about the past and present. It reminds me of many memories of my youth, old love hahaha!! The 80s: the golden era of music
In flight school our instructor would sit right next to us. On a cross country flight (around 4-6 hours) there would be long periods of no talking. We just sat listening to music on our noise cancelling headsets. Eventually I asked my instructor what he was listening to and we swapped headsets. I don’t remember which song it was but I distinctly remember this soundtrack.
Thanks so much for sharing this. As a person who struggles daily against depression from ongoing physical health issues you've helped me immensely by giving me a superior weapon to fight it with.
+ta2joe13 Try Epicus Doomicus Metallicus too.
+ta2joe13 i do too, and i feel the same way about music in general. been ill for 2 years and the psychological and emotional impacts can only be remedied with music, for me. so sorry you're feeling unwell and i wish you healing.
+ta2joe13 Keep on keepin on brother
+ta2joe13 That's exactly what I've been doing with this album - I couldn't agree more. It feels calming yet strong, and it helps me cast my mind outside my bedroom. 'War' is my favourite for that. I'm doing ok. I wish you the best.
Wishing you the best, my stranger! :D
Lazy rainy day alone? Sunny beach afternoon with friends? Slaughtering zombies all night? This is the album you throw on. It's the salt of music, it makes everything better. Although rubbing it into your wounds won't sting, but it'll make it heal in rhythm!
Great words for this masterpiece
In the thug streets of NYC. Or warm ,hot of California
The best band you never heard off.
This album doesn't have the attention that it deserves !!!
That's so true!

I'm 62, I love music but I've acquired a very particular taste over the years about what bands or musicians I think are talented. There has to be a certain quality to the sound, good composition of the songs, and they have to give me a feeling that will help me get through the day, no matter what kind of day it is. This is one of those bands.
@conrad You're just a rude little boy who either doesn't recognize good talent when you come across it, or you have some sort of negative issue with older people in general. Either way, you're an immature fucking loser.
Agreed from Maldives. I seem to be acquiring a more and more indescribable particular taste as well, I know when I hear it. This popped up randomly on YT and am hooked. Am curious to know what else fell in to your list that's similar.
I'm surprised that I haven't stumbled onto them sooner.

I'm a member of a vintage motorcycle club where every motorcycle is at least 25 years old. Random links brought me here, cover art prompted me to listen....chill vibe is perfect for hanging out in the garage, tuning carbs or doing some wiring. I rarely buy albums anymore, but within the first four songs, I bought this one.
Gave this to a chap in Singapore, he was very thankful. Hopefully passed it on to other good humans. Bless.
Wow. I found it. I lost this album and couldn't remember the name of the band. I"m so happy. It is delightful to listen and listen to.
Wow! first time hearing this band, THIS IS HOT!!!
The same for me, thanks KZhead!
I'm surprised nobody mentioned how fucking cinematic this whole album is
+franz Vol 2 is just as good. Been stuck on this for months. A musical landscape.
+franz I can't say i am 100% sure i know what you mean by cinematic but some tracks just keep reminding me of Snatch lol like the one at 14:01 (War)...
+franz reminds me of Ocean's 12 :)
+franz Are you talking about the movie The Iron Horse?
+Helena Tome No actually I mean the cinematic vibe I get listening to this, it sort of creates vivid landscapes in my mind.
A few information for this brilliant Artist. His name is Brian Witzig and he is a record collector from Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. This is his second album released in 2008. His first album called "Volume 2" was released in 2004 and it's also great, must listen!!

I ended up here one day I was stoned af and suddenly that name came to my head out of nowhere I swear, "The Sound Defects". And I thought "Woah, that'd be a cool name if I ever had a band". I googled it and found this piece of absolute gold and I couldn't be more happier that my idea wasn't that original. Anyways, it's crazy how everyone seems to be here by a similar accident of some kind.

Best album I've ever found by accident
Listened to this this afternoon sat in the sun after a small amount of shrooms, actually thought the voice at 26.20 was an auditory hallucination, just come back to check, lol. Also thought the repetitiveness was the psychedelics but not, top tripping tune :-) I like Sound Defect a lot.
Winners Don't Use Drugs
***** History shows that most winners did infact take drugs. Even thought that's mostly in the athletics sector I still think your opinion on the matter is a little too absolute.
Wolf I can't really argue, but do you recognise the reference?
Goddamn. I know I should and Im pretty certain I do, once my mind clears a little.
Wolf it was a slogan on old arcade & videos games.

Wauuu im out of words, didnt know I needed this album the way i do. Bringes me back to the time when I discoverd Porties head 🥰
Tee hee. I see what you did there x
This album makes everything seem epic. I'm washing dishes and I feel like I'm slaying dragons in an old kung fu movie. But instead of flying around and spitting fire, the dragons are hanging out in dark alleys and creeping around corners wearing trench coats and fedoras in 1940s Tokyo.
I'd pay to see a kung fu movie with mobster dragons.
how about a book instead?
@@jayschumacher815 That must be the most relatable thing I've ever read. If I ever figure it out I'll let you know.
Yeah, I'd watch this movie. Get to work Hollywood! We want a noir film about dragons in 1940s Tokyo

Good news: I just discovered this awesome band/album while at work. Bad new: all my psychedelics are at home.
I was just led here as well and this is the work of Brian Witzig. I read where this album was pieced together from many samples of music so technically, it's technology techno?😆But also, it's bad ass!! Carry on.
i was brought here randomly just now. luckily, i had two pulls off the pen right before showing up. hope you're home by now. 🙃
Microdosing helps creativity. Pack them with lunch next time 😂

It's all about getting home again.
I was born in 1948 and saw Elvis on Ed Sullivan in 1956, my mother had a little Bakelite radio, and I have listened to everything that came out before and after that night. I still search everynight on You Tube for obscure music, a lot of it recorded in the sixties and never played. This album is just so unique and beyond comparison, it just still amazes me how much music was made by my generation and will probably still being discovered light years from now. John

This music grew on me so fast, makes me feel like going on a mission with a pure purpose full of love and logic. The flow is constant like a river. I love the way it makes me to start moving around and stretch my muscles to the perfect rhythm, it just flows on so perfectly. It's so positively smooth and yet bold at the same time. So thankful I found it... it's definitely healing and vibe therapy.

Track 3 IS the soundtrack of: Lee Marvin, Steve McQueen, Telly Savalas, Bruce Lee, Isaac Hayes, Richard Rounndtree, Barry Newman, Clint Eastwood, Charles Bronson, Chuck Norris, Jim Brown, Yul Brynner, James Coburn, James Garner, Robert Mitchum and Sean Connery all taking a walk down the street together... looking for a place to smoke a cigar and drink a cup of coffee, shot of whiskey or some cocktail and Reminisce about who's ass they kicked within the last few weeks and women they entertained...
+ZEPRAT GERNODT (ZEPRATGERNODT) What about Humphrey Bogart??
Yeah, You're right. I did leave a few good ones out. I could not add anyone too recent cause these new guys just don't have that grit of authenticity. Rutger Hauer... I left him out too by accident.
+ZEPRAT GERNODT (ZEPRATGERNODT) Thank you for that most inspirational comment , I thoroughly agree with you . Can I add Jason Statham and Brad Pitt to that . .? Sure enough , this is rockin' good Music and I'm in the mood for it any time ...!
I'm not sure the guys I listed would actually welcome those two before first letting in Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. No offense but Brad and Jason don't carry enough 'Man's Man" quality about them - to me at least. I did leave out Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger as now we very much getting into another area of tough guys, class, panache, style...etc.
