Thanks for watching and REMEMBER: keep being awesome, keep smiling and keep making beautiful things!
I master batch everything. Lotion (I melt sown the oils and waxes and store as well as store the cool down ingredients in a gallon jug), foaming bath base, sugar scrub and my bath bombs. I purchased a turkey roaster so I could make larger batches. This is the best way to work efficiently. Since you pipe your lotion you could also master batch an unscented lotion and scent to order. ❤
Very very cool - you have it down! I'm slowly getting there, but I admire your streamlined organization!
What's the name of the machine you use for the bath bombs ?@@JerikaZimmerman
Today I found out my feed store sells 50# of sodium bicarbonate for $22. Same as baking soda!
That’s a steal!! 😮
@@JerikaZimmerman I’m thinking they might also sell citric acid!
Many of them sell diatomaceous earth too.
@@melanieschafer1297 I’ll have to check that out! Thank you
The vibrancy of the yellow and green is everything!
That one was Cales favourite too!
I love all the vibrant colors. beautiful.
Thank you!
Colors are so absolutely beautiful
Thanks so much!
So beautiful! I love the colour duos!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you! Jerika ❤️
You're welcome!
Absolutely beautiful colors
I think so too! :)
All of the colors are amazing !!! You have mastered the master batching process for these bath bombs. It was foggy for me this morning too - here in California 🙂
Foggy mornings are so beautiful and mysterious! Thank you :)
When I first started, I used your bath bomb recipe from a few years back. Like you said, I had to do some altering a little. I use different oils and im in Minnesota. The humidity changes so much! But agree, water is the solution. But the batches that do not turn out get turned into bath dust and people love that option as well!
Yes! I'm glad you figured it out! It's a problem that's hard to solve so I always feel a little helpless that I can't provide that smoking gun solution. But it's really the tweaking a proven recipe that will get you to that perfect bath bomb!
Sarah, have you ever resifted the bombs and added moisture and then tried to re mold?
@@carolynpalano9284 yes. I think it only worked once with a lot of patience and luck. I think it was my weather elements more than than the mixture elements. I always start with less water and work my up if needed with spritzes from a spray bottle.
Oh what a GLORIOUS site while panning at the end…….I bet it smells delicious…..
Thank you!! 😊
Great color combos!
I think so too!
Gorgeous coffee scented bath bomb
Thanks so much!
If you think about it, you can make a base of anything. I do it for scrubs and emulsified butters.
Yes!! Makes work so much more efficient!
Great idea Jerika. I was going to ask where you got your phone stand from, but found the link in the description. Also, do you know you can use the camera on your apple watch to start videos on your phone and even check if everything is in the shot using the screen on your watch. I've just discovered this and it's awesome. My bathbomb journey has been rocky. My humidity levels are 75% in the morning, then by the afternoon it's down to 30%. Any suggestions for raising humidity. I've taken to putting the sprinkler on outside. I have a dehumidifier which works well. Thanks again for great content.
Really amazing Jerika Yeah I've been having issues with the bath bomb recipe that I started to use. It worked just fine for a while but since it's gotten colder here and we have the heat on, I think that is affecting how the bath bombs set....either they are too wet or too dry and don't hold so it's been really bothersome and frustrating so I'll keep trying
Yes! Some magic happens the longer you try to figure it out and discover what the bath bomb needs in your specific climate and humidity :)
Thank you for discussing your bath bomb making more. But I think I give up. I just can't get a good bath bomb. I can get them great in the press together molds but those are 10 oz bombs and most people don't want them that big. I've had some luck with Cada molds so maybe I'll go shop and see what she's got that can help. You did give me 1 more great idea, but I want to test it 1st before I open my big fat mouth! Hahahahaha! Thank you again so much Jerika! You are officially The Bath Bomb Queen! 💛💛 💛
Why don’t you size down your bath bomb size? My 5 oz bath bombs sell well!
@@JerikaZimmerman I've tried and they just refuse to hold together. No problem with the Softball size tho. Hahaha. Ugh! I'm so frustrated. Grrr
Wanted to add some fragrances and essential oils can affect your bath bombs too. We have found citrus and lavender are more picky than other fragrances.
Interesting!
Can you tell me what you mean by "picky"
@@SheasBathLab just more finicky than others. It’s like certain fragrances and essential oils almost make the mixture repel itself. Even when I got my bath bomb press, they warned against high citrus content for this reason.
You can also leave the mix as a powder. I can’t seem to sell a bath bomb, but I can move “bath bomb powder”.
Yep! That’s a popular item as well!
gorgeous
Thank you!
Hi Jerika, If you were not using the press and able to pack so loosely, would you pack the mold differently? Would you have to press the mixer a bit more? Does the pressure of the press basically assure a solid bomb?
Nope! I made a video about packing 3D hand molds and I still recommend a loose packing technique.
when you master batched, did you find a difference between putting the citric acid in at the same time as the other dry ingredients, rather than adding it last? I know some people prefer to add the citric acid as the very last item, so I wanted to know your thoughts on this.
Yep, I always add the citric acid last and separate from the other dry ingredients :)
Are we allowed to put glitter on bath bombs in the USA? Curious question!! : )
Can you link the exact Soap Boxes you use?
I would recommend measuring your soaps and purchasing a box that fits your measurements. Soaps sizes can vary so it's best to select a box that's the right fit for your products.
how much sales of bombs do you have per 1 month?
❤
😊
They sell it at Michael's...a bath bomb kit I prefer to do it myself
Nice!
When will the coffee bath bomb be available on your shop.
It is right now 😊
Bath bombs are so intimidating. I have definitely made a mess out of quite a few batches. My issue is my batches seems to always have these dried ballies. Has that ever happen to you?
Hmm... no... I haven't experienced that.
Hi, can you tell me how long you let your bath bombs rest before wrapping them? I definitely don’t get rock hard ones like you do. Thanks
It depends! 2-4 days, typically.
@@JerikaZimmerman thank you
😻
:D
that intro was creepy lol like a dawn of the dead movie
😂 it is very eerie!
Jerika! I need your help! I make bath bombs and always sell in outdoor markets. I'm usually under my white canopy but my bath bombs discolor. Even if they are covered they still discolor 😥 what can I do to prevent discoloration, even if they are under the canopy? I use liquid dyes and are about a month old.
Dyes are affected by the sun, unfortunately. The longer they’re exposed, the more they fade. I haven’t learned how to fix that, I just accept it. Lakes are more resistant to bath bomb discolouration, so you can try experimenting with lakes for coloring your bath bombs.
Thank you Jerika!! You are honestly an inspiration 🤩
How do you get vibrant colors I try but always get pastel colors
Try upping your dye amount 😊
@@JerikaZimmerman thanks
Your bath bombs are sooooo pretttyyyyyy.
Thank youuu!
