    • @@giosy0072 the entire speed thing is kinda weird throughout dc universe , (according to cw universe) the flash is supposed to be the fastest but Supergirl is equally fast which leaves superman and wonderwoman being just a tad slower. The difference is that Flash can go several gears faster when he taps into the speedforce which makes it possible for him to travel through time (and create flashpoint paradox) whereas superman requires the gravitational pull of the earth in order to reach the speed required to time travel (also he can only travel to a few minutes in the past as can be seen in the first 2 Reeve movies) but he doesn't create a paradox in doing so... weird right. Now if we look at this scene Barry would have been fast enough to move all the people out of the building before the first bullet was even shot (during the time the guy pulls the trigger) , the flash in both cut's is severely downgraded from how we see the flash in the CW (but he gets stronger as the movies progress). This can be seen in a later scene (not sure if it was on whedon cut but it was in snydercut) when Barry saves a bunch of people from falling debris and he at some point is standing next to the people looking at himself and thinking about what to do while he's clearing the debris creating multiple copies of himself. Also his healing is quite slow in these movies compared to animated universe and cw.

It is a completely different movie with a length of almost 4 hours. Many scenes taken out, other scenes put in, plus so much more. Really worth it.

    • It’s not the Snyder cut that is changed or taken out anything it’s the original cut of the movie. The one released in theaters, the josstice league, removed and cut up about 75% of footage. Not one single frame from the josstice cut is shown in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. It is a definitely different movie.

But the thing is the bullet didn't even penetrate her skin at all. And if you listen closely you can hear her grunting in pain which goes to show you the bullet impact still hurt her. Which pretty much implies and confirm that Wonder Woman's body in this universe is actually bullet-resistant, it just bullets can still make her feel pain. This pretty much showcase the main reason why Wonder Woman blocks bullets with her bracelets instead of withstanding. She just plays it smart and does not endure the pain

    @DashinglyEpic@DashinglyEpic2 жыл бұрын
    • It's the stereotype that Marvel characters have more human elements, and the DC heroes are more distant. Spider-man is just some teenager, who makes witty remarks in the middle of a fight. Batman is a rich recluse that often disappears as soon as he's done talking, even if the other person has more to say. Even the Teen Titans cartoon never really had them interacting with non-super characters. Though the Static Shock cartoon, that did a great job.

    • YEAH! Because he didn't have to set limit restriction which Joe Wheedon's cut had

      @showtimewithMZ1@showtimewithMZ13 жыл бұрын
    • He may not have had restrictions but honestly maybe he should've. It goes against Patty's sentiments about Wonder Woman. She and Gal were the one who didn't want her using a sword and shield because it was too extreme. Funnily enough, she even said this: Jenkins recently appeared on Marc Maron’s “WTF” podcast in December, where she talked about developing Wonder Woman for ten years at Warner Bros and said the following (via IndieWire): “Even when I first joined ‘Wonder Woman’ it was like, ‘Uhh, yeah, OK, but let’s do it this other way.’ But I was like, ‘Women don’t want to see that. Her being harsh and tough and cutting people’s heads off… I’m a ‘Wonder Woman’ fan, that’s not what we’re looking for.’ Still, I could feel that shaky nervousness [on their part] of my point of view.” And Zack said on Vero that he didn't wanna use this piece of concept art showing a war weary Wonder Woman collecting the human heads of her enemies because he didng want to contradict Patty's beautiful vision. Do you wonder why there is a huge difference in how much fighting there is between WW 2017 and WW84, because Zack was a huge part of the creative process for her in 2017 and his influence is heavily noticeable. Diana is a bit of hypocrite too as a side note. She doesnt wanna hurt the white house guards because they are mind controlled and yet in her first movie she believed the germans and everyone who is apart of the war is just being manipulated and controlled by Ares yet she still just smashes through people and is most certainly killing them. By now confirming that Zack's original intent of this scene was her killing every single person and obliterating a man who was out of ammo that she easily could've ran up to with her obvious speed advantage and knocked out yet she chooses to do more damage than that bomb was probably gonna do all for one man. The Whedon Cut makes Wonder Woman look like an actua hero. Simply either pushing or just kicking down a few people and removing the blood entirely and making it look like she is holding back on them and cutting away when she does her little bracelet clash leaving it up to the audience to think that she just sent him into the wall. Snyder definitely needs someone who can tell him no. I'm sure he has great ideas but restraint is important. The Star Wars Prequel Trilogy failed on a narrative level despite its amazing story that it meant to tell failed because Lucas only had "yes men" and he didn't have that with the Original Trilogy. Snyder has a neat little vision but this is NOT Wonder Woman and it makes it as if she didn't learn a single thing from either of her movies and is just used like a blunt weapon. She doesn't stand for anything and just comes off like a psychopath and she faces no repercussions for her violence all because it just looks cool.

  • Synder has a great talent to create great scenes, it works almost like a drawing that it's moving so you can really soak everything from the image he's giving you, similar to what you can get from comic books. Sadly that does not seem to be used in the current comic-book movie iterations, where everything has to be fast and full of quirky dialogue. And it's strange, because the first MCU and DCEU movies were full of those moments, of letting us have our time in seeing the characters in their hero moments, of having moments of just letting a scene soak in. I think Endgame was the last movie that provided that (especially the Black Widow's death), everything since in MCU has been scenes of constant dialogue or action, even Black Panther 2 should have had a moment of those, to respect the death of Chadwick, didn't.

What u see on the right is original version of the movie that was finished in 2020-21, yes some scenes are the same cause they was shot by Snyder, theatrical cut (the one on the left) has about 30-40 mins of his footage and the rest in reshoots and additional scenes.

  • The 'extra' parts from the Snyder cut really makes the scene more involved and exciting. The pace isn't chopped up and there is bigger build-up. Same conclusion, same story, but execution and flow does matter. In the original Justice League, this is scene is quite forgettable and is almost like a filler, but in the Snyder cut, it's an important character development part to establish who Wonder Woman is and the scope of her powers. Thanks for the side by side comparison.

    @F22ERaptor@F22ERaptor2 жыл бұрын
    • Agreed, Snyders cut definitely improves on the scene and the build up and payoff is better for it, you get more time getting used to the story, each scene gives you a sense of direction and intent, really shows you that the bad guys had it planned to the fullest and they are capable. What is disctracting thought, is Wonder woman herself in this scene. Batman should have had this fight, getting attention on him rather than the kids, because then it would be at least even match. Sure we get quite a good scope her powers, but the sequence looses stakes once we see, that she is almost invicible in this scene and super fast. if the enemy was a supernatural villain or a beast of some sorts, then we would see her powers tested, with stakes and drama. But still this scene would fit perfectly into a action drama movie about a crime syndicate

I also like the color grading of Whedon's better and the snappier editing, but it does leave out some active details I would like to see. I don't need ten minutes of city scapes. • Reviewing this, I feel like there's a compromise cut that trims the fat without sacrificing the more interesting beats. I like the phone call, I like the cops on the street, I like the coda at the end of the scene, I like the extended fight that really articulates what Wonder Woman's powers actually are. I also like how quickly we get through the theatrical, keeping it quick creates a sense of urgency that's difficult to feel in this side-by-side, but I can tell why what's missing is missing and I actually like the tempo of the initial break-in better, and also the continuity of the briefcase toss works better with no slowmo and no handgun schenanigans. It's interesting what gets prioritized in each version.
