The International Criminal Court has declared jurisdiction over potential war crimes carried out by Israel on the Gaza Strip and Hamas on Israel over the past week. Israel is not an ICC member, but Palestinian Territories fall under the court's jurisdiction. In 2021, the court ruled that territories occupied by Israel since 1967 -- including Gaza and the West Bank -- were within its jurisdiction.

The fact that no one went to prison for the biggest war-crime(Iraq$war) in the 21st century is depressing. Still blows my mind how the American govt can criticize any country while they still have these same people walking around in office to this day.

I don’t know about Russia but China is currently harrasing non-chinese fishermen thousands of miles from their country, preventing them from fishing.

So native. ICC tried to investigate the war crime conducted by US army in Afghanistan. What US did? Sanction them and anyone who supports the investigation. At the end, ICC did nothing.

It seems apparent that the U.N. and International Criminal Court need to expand their rules beyond "combatants" vs "non-combatants" to specify definitions, and acceptable evidence & treatment of "Human Shields" & enemy's "infrastructure".

When Japan attacked Pearl harbor, the response to overwhelmingly retaliate is what made Japan a peaceful nation. After complete destruction of their city and two atomic bombs. Imagine if the US just went to destroy their harbor and then retreated for fear of war crimes. Japan would still be aggressive then. The same principle applies here

So you live in a house with your wife and 5 children and your neighbor nextdoor breaks through the fence in yard. The neighbor rapes your wife, kills one of your kids and kidnaps another one of your children. Your neighbor is shooting at your house yelling if you come in his yard and try to get your child back he will kill your child. Wth are you supposed to do? You try to save your child and destroy your neighbor and their home so they cannot hurt you or your family again. End of story.

By your very statement of who used to live where is invalid. The Palestinians didn't pop up out of the ground of Gaza or the west bank. They were from other lands, (know your history) they concurred or filled the land as other empires moved out or were pushed out. The reason anyone is on either side of this issue is due to a pre-existing agenda. People try to find reasons why their side is right. Here is my reason. Whoever controls the land does so because they are strong enough to do so. If that is because they are simply physically stronger, smarter, better equipt, technologically better equipt or if it is religious then their God is stronger. Whatever the reason or perception of humanity weak people, weak minded people and people with weak Gods will always be concurred by others. That is where this is at today. One side has to annihilate the other or this will never stop. It is human nature to control others and both sides are doing it. My opinion and I clearly mean "my opinion" is there is one side yelling "Death to Americia", I live in Americia so wanting me to be nice to them is ludicrous.
