    • @@ALPHA_N3RD The results are objectively lighter and higher performance than the donor car, and some of the details are lovely. Overall I'm not a fan of the blobby appearance, I think Singer design looks better; but if you're not one of the ultra-rich with a space to fill in your 30-car garage I doubt Gunther Werks cares what you think. "Cars are an extension of ourselves, like DNA. And if you have the wrong DNA, you should be put out to pasture. When it comes to autos, auto modifications, or the kind of lifestyle advice that will make you a winner, come to Brucie’s Executive Autos. Play to win, all the time, with the kind of cars winners have. My name’s Bruce Kibbutz. How do winners roll? I’m talking automotive bling, baby. I’m talking rims made with fake spinning gemstones. I’m talking putting your name in classy script on the hood. I’m talking about being original, just like everybody else who can afford to be. I’m talking about taking a 250,000 dollar sports car designed by world-class engineers and letting a guy from East Hook modify it so it’s worth a lot less. That’s right, A LOT LESS! That’s player style baby! Because you can, because you’re different! Brucie’s Executive Lifestyle Autos!” - from the parody masters at GTA, Dan Houser and Laszlow

  • Even if it was edited in, the prep and effort with the demo products shows just how serious they are about getting in front of it. They weren't just showing you the line and talking up their work. They are highlighting interesting examples and components in each stage of production. The carbon fender, the uprights, the comparison of mag and aluminum wheels, and the electronic suspension illustrate GW's approach to preparation. They prepared for this tour by making sure examples were available for you to touch and show to us. Thoughtful. Thanks again. When it comes to access to 1%er stuff, no one does it better.

    • it looks like an amazing car, and I don't use that word lightly. Having worked in a car shop though, I know that this takes FOREVER to achieve. The patience required from each customer is going to be epic. The back room with the raw chassis stacked up and waiting...scares me. My advice would be to purchase a car that you can drive for the couple of years you'll be waiting. If it's just one more toy to play with when it's finally finished, no problem. But for anyone seeing this for the first time and already dyeing to hit the road and show off, maybe there's a car for sale at Curated.

  • Singer does not need to be worried about anything. They are BOTH at the pinnacle of restomod Porsche tuning. But for different reasons. Apples to oranges, really. The DLS is an absolute classic. Subtle, yet a total animal. Proverbial wolf in sheeps clothing. The GW wears all of its intent on its sleeve. Monster looks to go with monster performance. I'll take the DLS, personally. It fits me better (need to win the lottery). But there are people who will choose the opposite of course! They each have their purpose. No need to be all "brand X should be worried about brand Y." Pagani needn't worry about Koenigsegg, right!!??

  • I've never been a Porsche guy, not because I didn't like them but because they are so expensive. Now that I'm older I really appreciate what they are and realize that they are not that expensive. UNTIL... I see a Guntherwerks car! I really appreciate all the R&D that went into recreating this masterpiece and know that I must have one for myself!

  • Just when you think you've decided "yup, I want a [fill in the blank Porsche model/year/spec]" these guys come out with a game and conversation changing approach. Thanks for allowing the full tour and giving us something new to consider in sustainability and performance.
