    • @@avabow5979 this is 100 true. Just wanted to add that foxes are naturally very curious and will come up to humans even if they aren't being fed. There was a family of foxes that lived in my backyard. No one was feeding them as I live in the country with no close neighbors. The mom fox and her kits would come up to me when I got home from work and smell me. I never fed them or pet them but they were close enough to be able to. The kits would also leave dead animals at my doorstep. Multiple times. They viewed me as one of their own. Even tho I did my best not to interact with them. They are such a cool animal.

  • I hope you still enjoy each other's company from time to time. My backyard was crazy growing up. We had Chico the Red Fox, Panda the St. Bernard/Pit Bull mix and two lovely plump white rabbits named Snowball and Blizzard. Some days Chico and Panda chased the rabbits. Some days the rabbits chased Chico and Panda. It wasn't at all uncommon to see all four panting heavily side by side under the maple tree after a good afternoon summer chase session. Dad said that Mom could single handily ruin any animal and make them go against the natural order of things. When Panda wasn't chasing the fox or the rabbits, she loved using her nose to push bricks around the yard. Grandpa was able to walk into our backyard with a white handkerchief and a few clicking sounds and call wild squirrels down from the trees. I spent hours as a teenager trying to duplicate his sounds and movements but just didn't have the magic. When I retire, I hope to spend my days watching the wild animals and hopefully making a special friend or two.

As for hunting animals, I personally find it distasteful but in the UK as deer and boars no longer have natural predators, their numbers have to kept down by other means usually by hunting or culling. Both animals can be extremely destructive when overpopulated. I’m not denying some of the things humans do to the animal kingdom are distasteful or sometimes downright evil, but what makes you think a video about an old bloke and his local Fox is the place for you to lecture people and then go on to insult their beliefs when they tell you to get lost. This is a hopeful video, and you’re here being bare negative and depressing in addition to having an enormous opinion of yourself. Can you see why people aren’t too keen on that?

  • Foxes are really smart . they will trust individuals they know well and not all humans. I have a vixen visit me every evening in the spring and autumn for food. Don't know where she goes in the summer but what a healthy looking fox she is. The good thing is she only trusts me and will be elusive if somebody else is around. Wonderful creatures.

    • REALLY, so you follow this vixen around everywhere she goes? You feel that you have some special gift that this fox will only approach you? As far as you know there may be several homes or farms in your area that this same fox visits, and the person at that home thinks the same thing as you. As you yourself stated..."FOXES ARE REALLY SMART". So this fox can be smart enough to fool you and a lot of other people in the area where you live.

  • Beautiful beyond description… I can only say “in a perfect world this would be the norm not a heartwarming rarity!”. For all his technological & medical advances too many humans have lost the need and willingness to live alongside the creatures that man shares his only home planet with… A choice between picking the winning lottery numbers and an experience like this wouldn’t be a choice, this would enrich my soul where millions of £££ would introduce yet another set of worries into an already over complicated & stressful life! I truly hope this beautiful scene is strong being repeated wherever it was filmed.

  • I feed 9 different stray cats twice a day for three years now and kept them alive. I say God bless you Mr. Downer for having a heart full of kindness and enough love inside you to actually do these things rather than talk about them like others do. It's wonderful to have a friend in the world like you and that beautiful fox can see the gentle spirit you have. Keep up the great work.

    • Stray cats kill songbirds. Cats are an invasive species and harmful to the natural wildlife.

    • @@kevinhardy8930 I guess God makes so many mistakes making so many things in error that we find fault with. The cats I feed....KILL nothing at all, because they aren't starving everyday fighting for their lives. It's just a sign of our times that no matter what kindness we have and try to do, others will tear it apart while sitting on on the couch doing nothing at all. I know I make this a better world everyday of my life and bring peace to many.

    • @@dannylaw7367 Dennis, you have no way of knowing how many birds those 9 stray cats kill, and God didn't make any mistakes, it's people that do that. You think you are 'making the world better' then I am glad you feel good about that. The fact of the matter is abcbirds.org/program/cats-indoors/cats-and-birds/ you could just keep those cats in your house or garage if you really wanted to 'make the world better". PS, no need to attack me, I merely gave you some facts to think about.

      @kevinhardy8930@kevinhardy89303 жыл бұрын
    • @@dannylaw7367 God didn't make cats, they were created by man and a selective breading program that stretches over thousands of years! Kevin is correct, cats kill everything they can, and they don't do it to eat. and its not only strays, its all the pet cats as well.

    • @@keyproductions100 why doesn't it surprise me that people will argue any....ANY point to continue the mindset of justifying killing and violence. I can't help what kills in the world, but I can control what I do to help the world and make it better. I will never continue to be so hard an calloused and mean spirited like most of this world is that everyone hates. I'm so grateful I don't see things like you so that makes me smile and be happier.
