  • It still hurts so much that they're not doing DLC. I played it when my mental health was going down and it helped me get through a difficult time and all I could be excited for was DLC especially after the epilogue and new "hints" they put in through patches and I was completely devastated. It still helps me through it but whenever I think about the future I tear up. This game was a gift and it helped so much and I hope everyone at Larian keep getting everything good towards them; I may have disagreements with some reasons WHY they canceled it but I love them and they deserve to do whatever they feel like doing no matter how much it hurts me/fans. Another reason (which I disagree with) is that they felt like it would feel like a cash grab. There are other reasons but if you want to know fully, there’s an interview with the man in charge himself on GameSpot’s channel.

      @xandershock@xandershockАй бұрын
    • @@pedropimenta896 Most likely a multitude of reasons. 'Hear Swen Vincke say it it was just that Larian didn't really have their hearts in it 100% and would rather work on something else instead of iterating on an already complete project. Then there's all the Hasbro/Wizards of the Coast BS that was and is going on. Apparently nearly everyone Larian originally worked with at WotC were laid off by the time the actual game launched. That had to have left a bad taste in the mouth of anyone continuing to work with that conglomerate. tl;dr Larian wants to go back to doing their own thing

So many different aspects need to be worked on by so many different people and it all has to meld into a near perfect whole. So, for people that criticise games released for not meeting their own lofty standards, bear in mind the sheer love, dedication and complexity of the process. People who work on games are lovers of gaming and they don’t set out to make underwhelming offerings. Sometimes time itself and greater powers conspire against them. Congratulations on the awards. Well deserved.🏆

  • BG3 deserves the wins.., but lets be real, if it weren't appeasing the over-woke community, it might not have won as much ... just like why Hogwarts didn't even get nominated at the VGA

    @VampireNoblesse@VampireNoblesseАй бұрын
    • I'm a big Harry Potter fan, read to book series over 5 times and have played most games that have come out. Hogwarts Legacy is great, but its no where near BG3 and many of the otehr games that came out that year. Reducing its lack of awards to "not appeasing the over-woke community" is ridiculous. And how is BG3 "over-woke"? What does that even mean?

    • @@VampireNoblesse Which ones? It was a fun game, but much smaller and less successful in scope than the major games of the year nominees. Again, I enjoyed the game, but its no where near the others. Nor did it try to be a game of the year.

  • Swen and Borislav both great real speeches and well deserved, Andrew definitely deserved to win but actors just have to be cringe and longwinded when accepting an award.

  • Feel like I'm going insane or something with BG3. I think it's massively over rated. It isn't in the same league as games such as elden ring, breath of the wild, metal gear solid, mario galaxy ect.... It's a solid 9 out of 10 but I can't see it ever being in any greatest games of all time lists.

    @ReckluseMusic@ReckluseMusicАй бұрын
    • You're right it's not in the same league as those games, it's far above them. Oh I assure you it will be on many lists of greatest games of all time. It's fine not to like bg3, we all have different preferences, but to deny the objective quality of the game it self is silly.

      @Einomar@EinomarАй бұрын
    • @@Einomar The game has jank, lots of it. A.i both enemy and companion can be utter brain dead, walking straight into traps and such. Traversal is horrible, the jumping especially. The music is forgettable and generic I felt I heard it before. The graphics are just ok. It's missing the extra bit of magic the games I mentioned have. Saying it's better than elden ring or breath of the wild is silly.

      @ReckluseMusic@ReckluseMusicАй бұрын
  • BG3 was such a mediocre game. Its not that its bad a bad game or anything its that the industry is so awful right now that the bar standard has been lowered. That being said, if any game from 2023 deserved all this praise, or even half, it shouldve been Lies of P hands down.
