How to improve your eyesight fast? In case you spend tons of time looking at your smartphone, tablet, computer, or TV screen, you aren’t doing your eyes any good, you’re seriously damaging them. If we are being completely blunt, your eyes strain too much, they get tired too quickly, and your eyesight drops.

Make some lifestyle changes. 3:05
Do special exercises to train your eyes. 6:13
Bonus: products that can make your eyes change their color 8:59
Poor eyesight, in turn, creates a whole bunch of different problems, from choosing eyeglasses and contact lenses to saving money for an expensive surgery. It’s really important to care about your vision using some natural ways to improve it. In this video, you'll get to know about some of them.
If you include in your diet onions, garlic, and caper, you will enrich your diet with lecithin, sulfur, and cysteine. This will prevent the lenses of your eyes from getting cataracts. Omega-3 fatty acids (in the amount of 1,000 mg per day) will help you to avoid dry eyes and macular degeneration. That's why mackerel, herring, tuna, salmon, walnuts, and flaxseeds should be frequent ingredients in your diet. If you can't get any seafood, buying fish oil supplements will be a good alternative. Dark leafy vegetables, sweet potatoes, carrots, and pumpkin contain beta-carotene, zeaxanthin, and lutein. These elements protect your eyes from being damaged by the sun.
Try to use your computer as little as possible. Of course, it's easier said than done if your work is tightly connected to this device. Even so, there are some ways to reduce the negative impact of staring at the computer screen all day long. Implement a 20-20-20 rule to your working routine. According to this rule, you should look at something situated 20 feet away from you for 20 seconds every 20 minutes. Don't forget to blink, this way you'll produce tears. They're necessary to refresh and moisten your eyes. Make the font size larger and the screen brighter and more contrast. This will help you to read and browse easier. Your monitor should be directly in front of you. Its screen is to be located a bit below your eye level.
Try near and far focusing exercise to significantly strengthen your eye muscles. You can do this exercise in a sitting or standing position, it doesn't matter. Choose an object 10-20 feet away from you and focus on it. Stay like this for 10-15 seconds. Then refocus your eyes on your thumb that is 10 inches away from your face. Stay concentrated for 10-15 seconds.

SUMMARY
-Diet rich in vegetables and fruit, low in fatty foods and sugar that your eyes demand is, actually, beneficial for your whole body. As for crab, turkey, and oysters, they contain zinc and copper. Zinc helps to produce an eye-protecting pigment melanin. Copper prevents the development of age-related macular degeneration.
-Also, when you work or study, keep a shaded lamp on the desk. Improve the quality of the air in your office and at home. First and foremost, get an air humidifier. Quit smoking. Control your weight.
-Start with some eye massage and pencil push-ups. You can also try near and far focusing exercise, drawing figure "eight" with your eyes, and directional exercises.
-Some people think that it's possible to lighten the color of your eyes with the help of such products as honey, spinach, ginger, chamomile tea, and so one. Presumably, your eyes will get brighter in just 2 weeks.

  • Absolutely!!! A friend taught me eye exercises a few years ago. I also stopped using my glasses except when driving at night. However, within the past year, I found my vision to be quite blurry with my glasses. I thought they were perhaps affected from leaving them in the car on warm days on occasion. A couple of weeks ago I went for an eye exam (last one was 5 yrs. ago with no change from previous prescription)…they asked me to read the line down the chart I could read comfortably. I said “I can read the entire chart, if you like”! The doctor responded “seriously???!”. Come to find out, my vision is almost 20/20…just a small deviance in my left eye! I do have weaker vision at night, so I did get a set of glasses for night driving. During the daytime, the glasses don’t really make any difference to my vision. Cool….oh, I am 68 yrs. old!!!

  • I think all of these things mentioned in this message are important. Diet, eye exercise, and one must not exclude the stress factor. That's when I first started having a problem with my eyesight, was when I had a problem that was ongoing and causing me stress. And because I was dealing with that I stopped paying attention to my diet. One has to be aware of the different things going on in your life, and take charge,

  • I had really good eyesight while I had diabetes then my diabetes turned to glycemia after changing my diet and my eyes slowly deteriorated until I could not see anymore even with glasses. I then increased my glucose levels by drinking sweet drinks and removing alcohol and my glucose levels went to normal around a 6. About a year later my eyes came back and my eyesight is almost perfect now. It's not diabetes that destroys your eyesight but low blood sugar is the culprit which comes from over medication of insulin or excessive drinking or excesive drug use. Good video as usual.

  • Your retina has two types of cells: rods and cones. Cones are responsible for colour vision and come in three varieties: those sensitive to red, to green and to blue. Rods are used for low light vision and are activated by the release of a chemical called visual purple, or rhodopsin. Carotene is used in making this chemical, so there's an element of truth in the supposition that eating carrots is good for setting in the dark. The lens invariably stiffens with age and most people will find their eyesight deteriorating by the time they teach forty. This usually manifests itself as am inability to focus on nearby objects (far sightedness) requiring reading glasses. Light levels can make a great difference here. For example, I nearly always need reading glasses nowadays but found that while on holiday in the south of France I didn't. The light was bright enough so that I could read without them. I've even noticed that back in London on particularly bright sunny days. As for eye colour, everyone's eyes change colour from day to day. This will be less noticeable the more melanin your irises have. So people with brown eyes, and most especially dark brown, won't notice as much as people with blue eyes, who have the least amount of melanin. I used to think it was my imagination, or because of the surrounding colours (clothes and the colour of your whites) until my then wife exclaimed that my eyes were turquoise, but I've since noticed that they vary from steel blue to turquoise. Whether this is due to diet isn't something I've ever tried to test and I'm pretty sure that there are other factors involved. However, the effects are almost certainly subtle rather than dramatic and will be barely noticeable if you observe them daily, as the effect is gradual. You'll notice it more if you take longer between observations, say a week or two, but, in any case, the effects won't be permanent and will be influenced by such things as the colour of the top you're wearing. It's well known that if you're looking at a grey piece of paper that the surrounding colour influences what shade you see, for instance a blue surround will make the grey have an orange tint (blue's opposite colour - the others are red/green and yellow/violet. Lastly, the eye exercises certainly won't do any harm and could well help. I even had an app for improving eyesight on a much older phone (a Samsung Wave ii, which still ran under Samsung's proprietary OS Bada. I haven't found it for Android. Pity). Hope that's useful.

  • Years ago I did an eye exercise program which did give some improvements. So, I do believe these exercises can help. I've gotten older and more dependent on glasses. I still believe these can help. An exercise that helped me was looking in the far distance and then focusing on something near like my thumb about 2 feet or less away. I think this video stopped short of that one. But I like all of these ideas. Nutrition for the whole body. Delays cancers and heart issues and other illnesses. Stress and too much eyestrain, computers, phones, etc. Thanks.

  • If you used to see then you need whole body detox programme! My sight became blurry about a year ago. I have started to cleanse digestive system with clay (2 weeks), liver with flushes(4 months) and kidneys with tea(just started). It is really slowly but blurrines subsides bit by bit. I can feel how my eyes focus in the morning and vision feels more clear. It lasts for several hours but at some point I feel that it is too much and eyes get tired and blurrines is back. I believe that all bad happens because I have toxicsted (alcohol, cigarettes, some drugs and too much food at wrong timr) my body. Now being older I have more clarity and independence to fix that. Wish you all the best.

She drinks a lot of tea and fruit or vegetable shaker and eat every night a salad. She used to have people’s common eye color: brown, I asked for her old pics when she was about 13-14. Now they’re almost near to the yellow color (not light brown but the real yellow, kinda like lions dark eyes) and I’m actually doing her daily habits and it’s working on me. My dark brown eyes start becoming light, I like it.

  • I use chamomile eye drops I purchased online for dry eyes and my dark brown eyes have gotten slightly lighter but nothing major and I have been using them inconsistently for over a year. The DIY honey eyedrops should be used with caution. Although I do NOT possess an allergy to honey, when I made these drops, aside from the stinging sensation, when I woke up in the morning I would have a discharge from my eyes similar to what is formed when someone suffers from pink eye. I assumed it was the honey pulling toxins, but I also noticed slight swelling of my lids, thus I quickly discontinued use and my eyes were fine again. I use a drop of organic castor oil at night, allergy drops or chamomile drops during the day to combat itchiness and dryness. Additionally, at the first sign of an irritation that finds no relief from OTC products (possible conjunctivitis), I mix a tiny bit [1/8 tsp] of sea salt or pure boric acid (hard to find but I think Walgreens has it, NOT the products used for rat poison) with DISTILLED WARM NOT HOT water in a bowl, and I place the non affected eye in the bowl and blink several times, remove the eye then repeat 2-4 times, then I repeat the process with the effected eye; be sure to clean the bowl and make a fresh batch after each process, always starting with the non affected eye to avoid contamination.
