What is a 1D Video Game? Surely, it must be a terrible idea? In this video, I'll be making just that: A game with only 1 dimension in Scratch 3.0.
This was a pretty fun challenge. If you have any more ideas for ideas I should do, just comment down below!
Also, the Baa sound effect is NOT HUMAN. What was Scratch Team doing when they made the sound library?!

  • You could’ve made an Atari 2600 style game. Every scan line on the Atari is a 1d string of code as far as the CPU is concerned. That is the reason why every scan line is 4 colors, 1d also applies to colors. The colors are 2 colors for 2 sprites, one color in each scan line on the playfield, and one color in each scan line on the background out of a 7-bit RGB palette. Sound effects are 1d because the Atari can play them. With 1d, if the Atari 2600 can do it, it is allowed in a 1d game.

  • 8:02 dude 1d items can be any length as long as each item is the same length (so instead of having 1 by ? pixels you can have 10 by ? pixels) {also an object should always be a rectangle/square of 1 color)

  • I dont really think 1d is a thing. For the line to actually show up the y value has to be something. Can be 1 , 2, 1.5, 0.00000000000000000000000000000000000001. But if it do that its no longer 1d. 1d has to be x only. So lets get rid of the y value. Then its just nil. Its nithing. Its 0. But if its 0 the line wont show up. Jeez feel like i just explained 1 plus 1. Idk what my point here is everytime im commenting i always just yap and hope i get a good point lol.
