  • The TX rig worm has been a lifetime staple for me. I have a dedicated rod for it. In more recent years I also love a heavier swinghead type hook for deeper water. Just drag that sucker slow and wait for the tap-tap - then slam em.

    • It’s certainly a staple in bass fishing! Thanks for watching!

  • I’m living in North Carolina 😜🎣 and I have used the Carolina Rig for decades in Kentucky lakes,but it has a new meaning for me now😂 you always seem to pick some of my favorite ways to catch bass, and I love both sizes of the ZMAN Fattyz for Texas rig, and a couple of secret presentations 😂😂😂 like anything is secret anymore , it’s not a secret for fishermen, I just try to get sneaky on these educated bass😂🍀🎣🍀

  • How do you work the Texas Rigged worm? Thanks

    @robertbrost7777@robertbrost7777Ай бұрын
    • Excellent question Robert. I’m actually going to do a video very soon on Texas Rig retrieves you need to try. So please keep an eye out for that video in the next couple weeks. But for now, I suggest making small 1-2’ hops with the rod rip up, or by dragging it with a side drag.

    • A slow retrieve (keeping it on bottom) is the most fundamental way. A few pops here and there to bring off bottom then sink back down, then back to a slow retrieve. Basically you want to slow drag it so it's bumping/grinding on bottom. Stopping the retrieve periodally is a good idea too. Go experiment. I guarantee you get bit. Stick with green pumpkin or a darker color like purple / black-red / junebug are pretty much universal winnners.

    • @@caseysaunders2137 Thanks. So what do the bass think it is, a snake? Do they think it’s a bait fish feeding off the bottom?

      @robertbrost7777@robertbrost777729 күн бұрын
    • @@robertbrost7777 That question can only be answered by a bass. haha. I assume they think it's a worm. Try using 'critter' baits too like Zoom Brush hogs or lizard/salamander looking baits. Generally any plastic Tx rigged on bottom will entice bass to bite. When you feel the tap, give em 2 seconds to inhale it, then set the hook. Unless it's a biggun, you'll know as your line will move sideways or go slack if they are moving toward you. Reel down some to tighten the line as needed and jack em. The zoom fluke Jr. is another one that works good too.
