The ruled it a TKO but Wikipedia and every other fight record has it as a technical submission. Either way the referee did NOT stop the fight before the bell and therefore shouldn’t issue a TKO after the fight was over.

Im shocked as to how Merab didn’t appeal this loss as I’m sure there was way more than enough reasonable grounds to get this decision overturned to a no contest. What’s more is that you hardly even see people talking about this as it’s relatively unknown. I hadn’t even known about this until a few days ago when I randomly decided to see if he has any losses and then I only discovered it in this video…
@brather97 I mean if it happened at the end of round 1 or 2 then I could completely understand as there have been cases where a ref has called off fights after the bell has sounded but that was only because the fight was still ongoing. In this scenario however the final bell had already rung. There’s a reason we’ve never seen this ref again.

No fue nada de suerte en ninguno de esos combates que comentas, si Simons no tuviera la habilidad para montar esa guillotina no hubiese pasado. Hermano, en este juego no hay suerte todos los peleadores entrenan para ello y no existe error si el rival no capitaliza.

Alguien que sepa sobre las reglas de UFC y me pueda explicar por qué le dieron TKO? Para mí Dvalishvili cayó noqueado en ese derribo 14:59 , pero Simon nunca pudo finalizarlo, se ve en el minuto 15:16 que el árbitro le revisa el brazo para ver si está consciente y Merab reacciona, luego en el 15:42 el le hace 👍🏻 al árbitro para decirle que sigue consciente y así termina hasta el final de la pelea, ya que el referí nunca la detuvo y Merab nunca tapeo. Así que si alguien sabe que por qué le dieron la victoria a Simon sería genial que lo explicara, porque de verdad no entiendo esa pelea debió haberla ganado Dvalishvili tanto porque fue mejor los 3 rounds como porque logró aguantar esa guillotina por casi un minuto, muy pocos peleadores podrían hacer eso.
Creo que se terminó la pelea y decretaron TKO porque Merab aún estando consciente no conseguía escapar. No le pasó cómo por ejemplo a Volkanovski que se salió tras unos momentos de patalear. El árbitro para evitar que se desmaye y la falta de oxígeno al cerebro pueda afectarle decidió parar el combate

Nunca me ha gustado Merab pero esta pelea no la perdió , a mi nadie me va a decir que después de haber ganado todos los Asaltos , te atrapen faltando un minuto con una gillotina en la que no tapeas porque sientes que puedes resistir, y la pierdes porque el arbitro hizo una mierda? Es mentira , a otro con ese cuento.
Fue porque después que acabo el round los que entran a revisarlo notaron que perdió el conocimiento, por lo tanto dedujeron que fue a causa de la guillotina, lo raro fue que si aguanto el tiempo reglamentario no importaba si se desmayaba o si moría después de esos 5 minutos porque el tiempo ya había ACABADO, debería ser su victoria pese a lo que pasó después.

He was out? no he was not, he was moving and if referee did not stop the fight doctor dont have any rights to make decision after fight, its same if someones eye after fight would close and can not see and you call doctor so he mades decision " oh, his eye was closed and he was not able to see in the last 30 seconds of fight, its TKO".
