The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro E+ Is The Premium PHEV We Deserve! [Car Review]
For 2023, Chery Auto Philippines rationalized their PHEV offering, by giving it the features it deserves. In this Filipino car review, we take a look at the 2023 Chery Tiggo 8 Pro PHEV, now named as the 2023 Chery Tiggo8 Pro E+. The Chery Tiggo 8 Pro E+ now has all the features, safety and tech found in the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6L, making it now the true top trim of the local Chery Tiggo 8 line up. Of course, all the added features means that the price of the 2023 Chery Tiggo 8 pro PHEV also went up, but it is only a marginal increase for a lot of features. Just like the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro AWD, this Chery Tiggo 8 Pro E+ has no real competition for the price, since there are only a few PHEVs in the Philippines that sell for below 3 million pesos. In fact, the 2023 Chery Tiggo 8 pro E+ is the only PHEV that sells for this price level.

  • Speaking of 3rd row seats, I'm about 5'10" and if you move the 2nd row seats up front a little bit, i can comfortably seat with no issues with the leg room. But the seats are less comfy compared to the front 2 rows for sure. My Chery is a 1.6L variant. I actually sat in 3rd row for over an hour without any issue!

  • Very nice! But I think the PH market is not yet ready to pay that much for a brand that is just starting to climb a mountain. If I have the money though, I will definitely consider this! The 3rd row seat has AC vents. Not sure bat wala jan sa unit mo sir.

    • This one didnt have it, the 1.6L and the 2.0L AWD had ac vents at the 3rd row.

  • I think the ground clearance is higher than 167mm. other reported as 196mm?

    • Yes it does. We loaded a cabinet in the tiggo 8 and it folded flat.
