- Shooting the hatch probably doesn’t do much other than taking out the commander but the result probably depends on the ammo types. He should had aim for ammo rack by aiming lower or the back of the turret which Soviet tank usually store their ammos there. Nevertheless most tanks store their ammo at the lower part of the tank. His mistake was getting up face to face. Sherman does not have the best gun depression, so he end up in a situation where he is only aiming at the turret.

- Nah, it is 80mm of STRONK SOVIET STALINIUM Jokes apart, Gaijin and it's weird angling mechanic (designed obviously to favour a nation) makes all sort of pen shots not pen, despite how much you know it should be going through (like the infamous T-34 hatch stopping Tiger 1 shots despite not having more than 90-100mm due angle)

- I mean, what else can we do? Gaijin put the jumbo with the crap 75mm gun on 5.3, we have to play dirty to win. Sorry that we're not like the krauts who have easy mode lolpen guns in 5.3, i guess. I swear if i have a time machine i'll go back to 1942, rip apart the Sherman blueprint on the drawing board and show them a Panther blueprint instead. - @@imtiredtiredtired then we would never defeat Germany. We chose the sherman because of its reliability, Mobility, and Survivability. Not its fire power or armor. Besides the Panther wasn't even service when the Sherman entered. The Panther was also very heavily and had complex tracks and needed Nightmarish maintenance just like the Tigers. Something the Sherman didn't share and Something that would have been an absolute Nightmare to use in the pacific. We also chose the Sherman because it was easier and cheaper to produce which meant we could get thousands of Shermans for a few hundred tanks like the Panther.
