Agreed that was disgraceful. If it only about how much water you can move please .... Fat man at Padang needs to come out of retirement.
why do you put together commentary and then not have the the waves to compare?
You seem like a nice guy. I just stopped watching when you said you didn't have medina's wave footage.
same here
Agreed, laughable.
Yeah, unfortunately WSL didn't make it available for distribution. Thanks for the comment, food for thought.
His waves are on WSL replay
Same!
Bells served well to push the San Clemente surfers up the ranking. Medina's heat was not the most controversial. A lot of the results were questionable to say the least. They want the californians to win and thats pretty clear.
cole had 2 big snaps to start his wave and medina went from snap to floater....that was difference
bells is primarily a wave where powerful turns via timing and flow are scored higher due to the wave having many different sections and punishing poor timing. Gabriel surfed well but his turns required less timing and were more 'safety' turns given the context of bells (of course no mortal could surf like him) and resulted in less power. Perfect example is what happened with Mick and Kelly in one of the best heats that's gone down out there, Slater got radical and did that huge air onto the flats as well as the reverses burning off speed in the pocket but Mick linked powerful turns to perfection and held his speed consistently through the entirety of the heat. The result here was correct
What’s your opinion on the judgement on Medina’s heat? Do you think the waves were correctly judged?
Tough to say. I think Medina had more style and variety of maneuvers vs. Houshmand had more power in his snaps.
Yes, Medina won.
Exactly... But... Wsl do not let.
say your take on the medina situation. Other wise, whats your point to do this video?
Medina's better wave was all down the line turns. Really well done, but not the best score generators. I love Medina's surfing, but Cole won the heat.
World "Shame" League. Medina is the Best...
The WSL has pushed the idea of having a San Clemente local surfer on the finals. That is their agenda, so they have push to overrate the waves scores of any of the San Clement clown crew. This crew are not world class surfers, their performance is mediocre. The WSL is destroying the sport, and the judges always overrate the waves of this clown crew. To be fair they should cancel these event results and remove them from the ranking. Neither Cole nor Griffin has any talent to be in a World Class competition, wait on the next contest with overhead waves and challenge waves conditions you will see the clown crew will be eliminated on early rounds.
Did you get a secret paper? Good job!
The mini bites. Flippy butt wiggle crew. Toledo would go!
Medina won
No question regarding the intent of the judges. Their insane holding of scores to drop in relationship to the opponent's next wave is conclusory. They're sniveling, wanna be, hanger-ons...
There is nothing controversial on this Heat. Medina was not robbed, the only possible argument is that the judges didn't score properly Cole's last wave, with over 100 heats per contest, it happens. They are not against Medina stop with this victim mentality ffs. Want to see someone who was robbed? Go look at Ewing and Pittar's heat, Ewing was clearly favoured. Cole did an awesome job UNDER Medina's priority, whether its a 6.5 or 7.5 its up to the judges.
Wsl been fixed since the irons brothers. Not all pro surfers lick the boot, and then they lose the limelight. Wsl is a lame kiddie show anyways
It was ASP back then
