  • Love your reactions. This is a brand new song, not a cover or version of others. When asked about this song Igor Krutoy stated that Dimash called him and said he would like Igor to compose some music for an idea he had for a brand new Ave Maria. Dimash loves Gregorian choral music so that's what inspired him to do this. Igor wrote the melody, then Dimash devised and sang these exquisite vocals and a masterpiece was born. When Dimash and Igor get together miracles happen 💖🌟💖

  • Masterful singing with many advanced vocal technique : “messa de voce “ from Italian Bel Canto technique at the last note sustained 15 seconds on the note C6 . Swell, increase and decrease the volume but don’t change the pitch, how difficult it is ! Oh my god, his skills🔥 only pro vocalists with years of training can do it. I mean singing on whistle and super head voice with SOFT SOUND IS SO HARD TO DO, harder than loud whistle note! Also, he sings with so much emotions, floatiness, and grace ! Even it is only a A vowel but so hard because it is so exposed. His breath control is insanely amazing! That sustained D6 with F6 on his super HEAD VOICE (I don’t think it is whistle, he does whistle on 7th octave only) are so good with the resonance 🔥🔥🔥

  • Another great reaction and analysis. You noticed things about his performance that most other "voice coaches" seem to have completely missed. I even watched a reaction of a self-proclaimed voice coach who made the claim that this was an easy piece to perform for Dimash. Anyway, this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music I have ever listened to, and only Dimash's voice could evoke such a profound emotional response in me. This rendition touches the very core of my soul. I have watched this performance numerous times already since it premiered and I am moved to tears the moment I hear the first note sung by Dimash's angelic voice. This is a vocalise interpretation of the opening vocals of Schubert's “Ave Maria”. Igor Krutoy (on piano) composed this rendition for Dimash; it is not a cover. The piece uses only three bars from the original composition and changes the fourth note to a higher note. Someone explained that Dimash called Igor Krutoy with an idea for a brand new interpretation of Ave Maria and asked him to compose the music. Dimash is said to love Gregorian choral music which is where he got the inspiration. Igor composed the music, after which Dimash conceived these exquisite vocals. Someone else likened it to “a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (dark to light)!” As I am sure you know, the last note Diamsh sings is known as "Messa di Voce", the singing of a gradual crescendo and decrescendo on a long sustained note. It is considered one of the most difficult vocal exercises and voice experts regard it as the ultimate test for any singer, a skill even the most experienced vocalists rarely ever master. There are at least 11 other compositions titled "Ave Maria" and over 40 different renditions of these versions. The version most people are likely familiar with is Schubert's 1825 composition or the 1853 Gounod composition, based on a famous Bach keyboard prelude written 137 years earlier. Here is a list of different composers/compositions: Ave Maria - F. Schubert (1797-1828) Ave Maria - C. Gounod (1818-1893) Ave Maria - J. S. Bach (1685-1750) Ave Maria - G. Verdi (1813-1901) Ave Maria - E. Elgar (1857-1934) Ave Maria - P. Mascagni (1863-1945) Ave Maria - J. Brahms (1833-1897) Ave Maria - L. Cherubini (1760-1842) Ave Maria - V. Vavilov (1925-1973). See note below* Ave Maria - S. Lindley (1948- ) Ave Maria - N. Skipper (1951- ) *This is the famous composition of Ave Maria misattributed to G. Caccini (1551-1618). It was actually composed by Russian composer Vladimir Vavilov in the early 1970s. He was forced to attribute most of his music to someone other than himself because any religious composition at that time, especially one invoking the Virgin Mary, was criminal under the communist dictatorship governing the Soviet Union.

  • A great detailed analysis and a delightful reaction, thank you:) I loved how you said it at the beginning: "Ave Maria - - very popular song, everyone knows it, but I'm sure this will not be the version we know". Yes! I guess you meant that Dimash wouldn't sing it like everyone else. Indeed, he never does. He is a creative artist and has his own way to interpret. This is a new 'Ave Maria' composition by Igor Krutoy at Dimash's request, a vocalize. I like the fact that when there are no words, it's truly universal spirituality. Dimash sounds so heavenly. Like you said, this seems simple but isn't. All those fine details, the precision and dynamics make it a masterpiece. Both as a composition and performance.

  • Dimash asked Igor to write him an Ave Maria, and this is the result. A few months ago I saw a short video of Dimash (even though he's been singing since the age of five) working with his vocal coach on the just the last two notes, to make sure he had perfected the somewhat difficult technique for the last two notes. You mentioned how, at the beginning of this song (actually, ALL of his songs) he "gets into" the song beforehand, preparing himself for what is to come. I've noticed over the past two years that AFTER he finishes a song it takes him a few seconds to release himself from it.

  • This is one of my favourite Dimash performances. During his songs I oftentimes find myself holding my breath. Watching this video I experienced chills while not breathing through the entire last note. Quite an experience! Now I’m out of breath, physically and emotionally exhausted LOL. Thanks to Dimash and to you Jennifer from this new subscriber 🎶❤️

  • I have watched this countless times and my favourite note is still that last note the crescendo with vibrato and then onto that delicate straight tone finally accented with a delicate vibrato to finish. Absolutely angelic 😇

  • I have listened to Dimash 5 times now, and he does absolutely nothing for me at 74. I have experienced most of the great vocalist of our time and he is not in that category at all. I get no chills, no loss of breath, nothing from his contortions and freakish sounds. This performance leaves all to be desired, and nothing worth experiencing
