Haha Chris was genuinly impressed and admired the shot, his cheeky smile class haha
Yes, what a sportsman. What a character, legend to me.
Chris Eubank was 76 years old in this fight (Eddie Murphy voice).
Rocky marciano lol
@ Sammy Long 😁😁😁😁you made my day 👍
"Cassius Clay is what his mama named him so that's what I'm gonna call him"
I don't know how old he was but he got his ass whooped
Chris Eubanks came out of retirement to fight Joe Calzaghe, the man was 76 years old...
To be honest this was the twilight of his career. He was never the same after nearly killing Watson. He didn't care for boxing anymore. Going through the motions like tyson after prison.
Not quite like Tyson at least Eubank was competitive to a point and knew when to call it a day, He never ended up getting destroyed by bums.
If he was affected by Watson why didn't he quit boxing?
@@jdig1984 the money was to go good.
@@rk6319 exactly so anyone saying eubank wasn't the fighter he was post Watson is talking through their anus. Eubank never lost killer instinct he just lost to better opposition and was well protected by March room
Eubank had 2 weeks to prepare for this fight and Calzaghe said Eubank was hes toughest opponent and Eubank was past it. Eubank and Ben was never the same after there 2 tragic fights that all boxing heads know about.
Tough guy 10 days notice and weight drained. Chris had heart .
Calzaghe said this was his toughest opponent
Eubank was never the same after he put Michael Watson in a wheelchair for the rest of his life, after that he’d only do just enough to win a fight but no more, which lost him a hell of a lot of fans. But he’d reached the end of the road by the time he ran into Calzaghe. That takes nothing away from Joe Calzaghe though, he was an excellent fighter.
Stephen RunsHisMouth well he doesn’t cause it’s not possible. Keep imagining cause you got nothing better to do 😂🙂
Yes, who knows who would have won, but there was a steep decline for Eubank
I thought Watson recovered
Cesar It’s taken Watson more than 20 long gruelling years but he’s in relatively good shape now, and even survived a car crash 2-3 years ago. He still has carer assistance though.
He was still 45-2 and those loses were to the same guy
Cracking shot. Chris just stood up and smiled at him haha.
Calzaghe got to be 1 of the most underrated boxers of his time! He was a machine undeafed!! Broke his wrist during a fight and still carried on 🙏
Undefeated boxer, somehow gets labelled underrated 🙄
@King Delevingne name 5 great fighters Roy or Hopkins beat without naming James Toney or Hopkins then 😂
@King Delevingne Typical, same shit comments, different day.
@King Delevingne you absolute muppet 😂
@King Delevingne Lacey was highly rated before fighting Calzaghe. Calzaghe gave him a masterclass in boxing and that was all she wrote. And people like you have the cheek to say all he fought were bums.. 🤔 If anything he was at a disadvantage in the latter part of his career because of his frequently broken hands; because he had dynamite in those early fights! But he still beat Jones and Hopkins, why? Because he's a stone cold Hall of Fame Legend of the Ring.
Calzaghe is an all time great 💪🏻 Eubank is a class act 👍🏻 Look at that smile after the knock down 😁 Proper gentleman that is 👍🏻 Great guys both of them
Love the way Chris gives him the nod, saying yes young man you got me good. That's resssphhhecssst (with a capital sshhpppphhs!).
I can't shtop laughing Resshhpect 😀😀
Couldn't stand Eubank he was a tosser
Rethpect (with a capital eth!)
exactly my thought like nice shot young man
Took 15 secs and Ewbanks knew he was in with quality.
He acknowledged Calzaghe power, when he was knocked down.
Slapper calzaghe,,,,, my arse Chris had one of the best chins in the business, two great fighters Respect✊
@@peterbalac1915 he said them repeated slap punches really hurt though
EUBANK
Calzaghe's style was so damn unpredictable. That left hook came from nowhere and was perfectly placed.
Eubank's reaction to a big hook to the jaw is to basically say "Jolly good punch my boy" as he readjusts his monocle and takes a sip of earl grey tea.
Love Eubank. Got dropped, then was like “nice shot” 🤣
Both of these men are tough. Eubank had a head like concrete & joe was a solid puncher. But as some of the previous comments, Chris was never the same again after the Watson fight. Not everyone can be champion but all these lads are willing to get in there & give it their best . Respect to them all. 👍👍👍
Joe and Chris were two greats boxers of our generation
Eubanks was past his prime and showed how tough he was in this fight. Yes Joe was better boxer and u might hate Eubanks personality but he was a.seriously tough mother fucker with the Heart of a lion
Yeah! Ok. Until he thought Steve Collins. Got beat, TWICE! 😱
Eubank had a great chin, most people would be sleeping
Don't think Calzaghe was ever a devastating puncher...but yes you're right, Eubanks had a fantastic chin.
Its wasnt a hard enough to be a knockout punch though it was fast and accurate. The reason Chris went down was because he was back tracking.
@@markevans7244 Agreed. Benn is one of the hardest punchers of all time and Eubank took everything he had in both fights.
3 seconds in.....great shot by Joe 9 seconds in...another great shot 15 seconds...3rd time was a charm
I forgot how good calzaghe was
I never get fed up watching this video!
I was there, Sheffield arena, Prince Nas was the top fight but this was why I was there.
Two of my favourites.
I like the cool looking lightning before the fight starts
Joe's autobiography is a damn good read.
Seen Calzhage in Sainsbury's the other day lol. He's underated even though undefeated.
That's cause some of the ATG's he beat were past their prime
massive Big up his stance has nothing to do with it
He's an absolute beast of a boxer, what a resume.. Love Joe c
@sf2explus resume like Floyd? Picking and choosing fights, that's a protected fighter. I'll give you, Floyd is probably the best defensive boxer whom has ever lived, but let's face it, he was protected during his entire career.
@reviewloop calzaghe would of been a problem too busy Chris fought off the back foot. Collins beat him same way keep the pressure on him and it threw him off. Eubank didn't have much ring iq and I don't think he was thought basic fundementals of boxing properly or more likely didn't want to learn very lazy fighter.
It looked like Chris' body was trying to catch up to his head going down. LOL!
In my day people didn't like him I loved him still do. Watch the talksport with Jim and Jordon. Brilliant
He felt that one and he knew it with that smile on his face
If you are a boxing fan watch Joe's documentary! The best of the best
Legendary moment!!!
Gotta give it Eubanks. He was on his way back up as he gets knocked down.
Chris nose is like an ancient cave!
Chris’s best days were behind him and I am sure he had no idea Big Joe would go on to be one of the all time greats. No wonder Steve Collins didn’t fancy the fight.
Collins only fought benn and Eubanks after they were done
dejardains letallec I meant Collins not fancying the fight with Big Joe
The face on his corner man wen he got dropped lol
Fairly strange not mentioning in the description who won the fight. Right?
Eubank was getting a bit battle-worn already by then, and Joe was young and extremely fast, surprising Chris with a flash knockdown. Chris wasn't hurt, just overwhelmed and gave a wry smile, he simply got tapped as he was moving backwards and lost his balance. Hardly anything worth talking about.
Yeah, I’m sure you could’ve done better.. Calzaghe retired undefeated you douchebag!!
Tapped, lol That shot would have killed you.
@@mojomaster1979 It doesn't matter what that shot would have done to me you muppet, because the fight was between Joe and Chris, and that is what the discussion is about. It would probably have knocked you the f out. Now, shall we talk about the actual fight and the people fighting, or are you going to continue with your childish trolling.
Nigel benns thinking .wtf just happened
Two true sportsman
JOE WAS A GREAT FIGHTER! WISHED HE FACED A FEW MORE GREAT BOXERS. HOWEVER, HE BEAT EVERYONE HE FACED. JEFF LACY WAS AN UNDEFEATED POWERFUL FIGHTER WHO WAS NEVER THE SAME AFTER THE BEATING HE GOT FROM JC. JOE WAS A SLICK BOXER WHO THREW ALOT OF PUNCHES. COMBINE THAT WITH A GRANITE CHIN AND YOU HAVE A DAMN GOOD FIGHTER!🥊🇬🇧🇬🇧🥊
Referee: Shake hands LMAO
Joe should've fought Roy Jones before he retired
Umm he did buddy ?🤦♂️
Eubank was 75 years old here.
Quality..
☺😀😁😂
30 max
can u turn the volume a bit lower please? i can still hear it.................
That explains it 🤙
Leather, Cavass and Ego shattered all over the floor.
Dude was a beast. Love to see him and Hagler go at it in their prime but have to go with the Hag but a good fight I bet.
I love Chris pure sportsman
It's a shame we don't get characters anymore in boxing.
This was a great fight I was there two great boxers
Top fighter is Joe, one of the best fighters the UK has ever produced, and still good looking!
👊🥒💧💧
How high were Eubanks shorts 🩳
Joe Calzaghe the GOAT 🥊🥊
Big joes like, you talk a good game
Im not saying joe wasnt a killet but eubanks wasnt the same killer.still one of my fav fighters ever...his style had so much class in it
There is some great learning opportunity here. Watch how eubank squares himself as he gets hit. Dont get square you get toppled
Joe the king 👑 👊🏻
Chris Eubank had had his wars with Benn, Watson and Collins and was shot. Calzaghe's career was carefully orchestrated and protected. He never fought in America until the end of his boxing career when his team knew Jones Jr and Hopkins were also past their best. Had he fought the even 5 years earlier he would have suffered 2 defeats let alone in their true Prime
And then Eubank Sr gave him the hardest fight of his career
Really?
@@lico2076 I think so, plus Hopkins
@@lico2076 He said so himself bro. Said his body had never been pushed that way before or since. In his prime I think Eubank Sr would have taken Calzaghe. But both fighters are absolute legends and perhaps the 2 greatest fighters ever to emerge from the UK.
Was this an old man eubank tho
Is there a better punch than a left hook?
@yeahSOwhat nope
Who won this contest in the end? PEACE.
calzaghe
Wonder what a peak Eubank would have done, he had a great chin.
@steve hazard looool yeah right . Early eubank and Benn would have been too much for calzaghe . Congrats to him but let's be real he fought between the 2 eras and it helped his career tremendously. Dont think he would of survived being undefeated during the murders row of middle weights
mickymac still was a well timed big shot. Not sure he wouldn’t have gone down if he was 22. JC always brought that power to middleweight and that shot was well timed with Chris trying to fall back evading the punch. Just clipped him solid!
..... And still Max Kellerman thinks Eubank knocked Calzaghe down 😂😂
Great fight although Eubank wasn't in his prime here..
Joe retired undefeated and beat Eubank, Roy Jones, and Hopkins. Wow. Talk about flying under the radar.
Joe beat Kessler too
Calzaghe is in the top 10 greatest fighters ever. Eubanks is on the to 20.
ya wot? 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I honestly cant stand Eubank. Hes a cheeky bastard. That swagger everytime he walks. Reminds me of the monopoly man
J Patt He seems a cock and his boy is the same.
Haha its just an act, probably to throw his opponent off. Think about it if either of you two were his opponent he wound have have you pissed off before the fight started
@@getstrongby4038 i honestly wouldn't be pissed off. Id be laughing my ass off. Hed be pissed off at me. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200 dollars
@@adambritain5774 your right they both are 😄
Joe was probably the best non black British boxer. What a boxer.
One of the very few best ever boxers to be undefeated 👍
So who won
Calzaghe won in 12 (unanimous decision)
Eubank would’ve given joe a proper good fight back in his prime. Joe tends to fight opponents when their in twilight
Ego of Eubank and he got kd in first minute.. the irony 😂
That’s the smile of an old man resigned to the realisation ,he’s just not as sharp as he once was.
Considering eubank took fight at short notice, think it was 2 weeks notice.
And he had his ass HANDED to him by an aging Hopkins!!!
Boxers today never capitalize on openings. They like giving you some good punches and then back away and box again. Or clinch and let go and walk away while the other guy is totally open. Lame.
Oh but this is too violent for me!
Godfather 2?
Eubanks was old and not at his best so it should not surprise any one.
31 is still prime territory for a lot of boxers as well as being experienced.
@@bleaklow254 When you watch Eubank Snr's career from the start, he was in a lot of hard wars, and the actual number of his age does not reflect that.
Excuses
Eubank chin made out of granite if hed been younger it might've been a different result
Good ole Cockney Joe from Hammersmith London
Eh ?
Humbleness v Ego
Ecthentric
Chris Eubanks reactions were gone because he was past it already at this stage in career..Calzaghes best names ,Roy Jones ,Hopkins and Eubanks were all past it by tge time Joe calzaghe fought them..
Eubank not hurt look how quick he got up....Good shot though
Wrong title, more like old man Eubank gets up whilst he’s getting knocked down.
Jack Hoskins Jr. You missed the point, ‘Old Man’ is a relative term, if you read the rest of the sentence it sums up to my admiration of his legendary granite chin resilience even when passed his peak. It wasn’t ever meant to insult.
Should say calzaghe knocks down a finished eubank
EubannnBANG
Superior Race
He was n still is probably the best fighter I’ve ever watched
Put down, but he did not knock him out??????
Eubank at his end. No respect for this
They dont make fighters like this anymore. Boxing is shite these days.
How does an English boxing legend have the name Calzaghe again?
He is really of Italian ancestry, his father (and trainer) is Enzo. Joe was raised in Wales, but the family is really Italian.
That ok ch would have knocked out me and my family..I one
Honesly, Calsaghe is the best ever in cherry picking
DNA SARDO 😉
A spent Eubank
Chris Eubanks was great in Britton but would never had lasted in the States. Hearns, Ray Leonard, Duran, Hagler and Benitez would have had him as a snack. Never mind facing the power of a Julian Jackson or the skill of Michael Nunn, James Toney , Bernard Hopkins and Roy Jones. Eubanks once stated that he could beat Hagler...LMAO,LMAO,LMAO! EUBANKS IS ALMOST AS FUNNY AS BENNY HILL!
Probably the first time calslappy hit with the right side of the glove
Calzage had no power. Eubanks shirts are pulled up to his chest lol
He always had them like that lmao
