Nice video! Two hawks raising their chick. 🤗
Wonderful video. Congratulations, thanks and have a nice Sunday, Monica.
This deserves an award for videography!
kathan Prajapati I agree with your impression. This video is in focus from every angle and seems to capture all the color possible of the Sparrow Hawks.
Thanks for showing the wonderful video.
Beautiful video... Poor baby😢
amazing footage; a real privilege to view. Thank you.
Such beautiful creatures, they are so lovely, beautiful video, Ooooh!! So romantic ! You right he needs to and get some food , the baby it's adorable . Thanks you 😘
These are the most disgusting birds of prey along with goshawks.
@@oh_k8why so?
Because they are built for the chase. Light weight and agile. Perfect for catching prey. But absolutely horrible for making the kill! Once a sparrowhawk caught its prey it has no way of killing it efficiently. It pins its screaming victim to the ground and starts plucking and eating it alive!
Saludos cordiales desde Sudamérica Santa Cruz bolivia 🇧🇴 👍 excelente maravilloso video 📹 ay que proteger a nuestra fauna silvestre ok 💯 puntos 👏 amigos 👍 👍 👍 👏 👏
Can anyone tell whether the female still has juvenile plumage? She seems to have streaks to the neck and to the sides of the neck 1:08 what one would expect of juvenile plumage, although I might be wrong. Apparently @josephavalos7894 was thinking something similar based on your post
Wonderfull video! Thats really cool! Thanks for sharing !
It`s a very interesting film! Thank you!
Super
This is a good comparison of the size difference between male and female sparrowhawk.
Well Sparrowhawks raid other birds nests, pine marten prob saved hundreds of wee songbirds
This is beautiful
Nice
Nice video 🤗🙋♀️🌻
Excellent and attractive, thank you with pleasant music
When we are banding or recording the wonderful nesting birds, Ground predators that can climb trees, like raccoons in the Americas and pine martens in Europe will follow our scents around the nest tree to an easy meal of eggs or young. When banding, studying or recording nesting activities, the humans need to make the tree inaccessible to such climbing predators by placing a piece of metal flashing around the trunk. This can be done temporarily until nesting season is over and then removed for the next nesting season. That way the tree is not damaged by the tin or metal. It can be wrapped but not fastened to the bark of the tree with removable bands or bolts and removed later.
FROM THE LOOKS OF THE FEATHERS... it got one of the parents too!!!
I hope it came back for the other parent.
😪😪 the circle of life is sad sometimes
Pine Marten was smart enough to wait until the baby gained weight ;-) That is nature. Exciting video one more time!
Looks like the same nest that was on Springwatch?
Are the scattered white feathers feeding sign of a pine marten?
Certainly, this could be a sign of a raptorial bird rather than that of a marten
Interesting narrative, especially with only one chick.
Lindo Lindo gostei do pássaro 🐦👍🏻
Beutifulll...
How much the egg?
Why didn't you show the fight, but otherwise a great video
This female was probably a baby herself the previous year.
Wow
best i love it
Hay lắm cảm ơn
👏👏👏
I love the soft goshawk like calls of the parent sparrow hawks. Very pleasant to hear.
They are accipiters the same as a gos and cooper's hawk.
@@billyb7561 All of them are horrible.
@@oh_k8 You're sick!
@@JavaT6437 you're the one cooing over the birds of Satan. Those things don't even drink water, they survive on blood. EVIL.
Sad indeed. Like baby bird got the food from another dead bird this plane Marten getting food of these birds.
Why is this a sad ending? All animals have to eat. Birds of prey do this to other animals all the time.
A sad end ! Amazing quality footage.this is a young inexperienced female, she shouldn't allow male near the nest.
It was a great ending in my opinion.😂
@@oh_k8Except they didn't show it...
they are awesome,😍😍❤
👏👏👏👏👏👏👌👌👌
So sad.
Nice clip!! thanks for sparing us the cruel ending of that chick.
Stranger birds had a different dangerous sound finally sad end story !!
😢💚
unusual there was only one chick at such a late stage in the season, 2nd clutch?
Or predation, it happens. Have found Sparrowhawks nests with 5 - 6 young in. Not all survive to fledging.
You can hear the male calling the female to his kill at 2:46. The males may be smaller but they are far more agile than the females so are more successful when it comes to hunting small birds. Female sparrowhawks meanwhile are larger so are better at incubating and defending the nest
Females can also kill much larger prey.
Hey the pine Martin was hungry
Kasih sayang Ibu merawat dan yang selalu menjaga anaknya dari ancaman predator
👍❤️🙏
😢💔
They're like a goshawks
Much smaller
Halloooo 🤗
Go little angel, fly high and be happy ❤🙏
😱😱😱
Very sad! 😭
4:29 is that a breeding ritual
😪
Sad ending for the Sparrowhawk breeding, but a successful hunt for the Pine Marten.
It was probably your fault. you put lighting around the nest so the marten could find it easily.
Why are they mating when they still have the baby in the nest to care for?
Monogomous birds to that.
Wow what a waste of time
they mustve been new parents,.. you could tell how proud they were of the baby. i think the male lead predators to the nest tho,... pity
😪😪
The male is just disturbing the female. His job should be bringing food and protecting them.
Not called a sparrowhawk for nothing awesome small bird hunters male quite a bit smaller than the female......?
Much smaller, the falconers & the old term for a male sparrowhawk was a "Musket" a gun was named after the male sparrowhawk & not the other way round!

That is a super cool wildlife video! I loved when the baby pulled a piece of meat at 3:27 😊
Where’s the gruesome part?
I'm so relieved the footage was cut as this predator entered the nest..🙈 Such a tragedy for the parents and the end of the baby chick's life...very distressing to know!!😢
These birds kill other animals mercilessly. You should feel the same for their victims as well
@@elgs1980 hallo❤❤
@@LalecT wow, and human beings do not kill animals and then eat them???
Welcome to the bigest cockatiel breeder Farm in africa
We sure would have liked to see the carnage when the fox ate them
Pine marten saves the day.🙏🙏🙏
I hate gamekeepers,
First
Funny that the female is doing all the work while the male is buying milk Oh shit , the nest ..... nature has its own rules though
Why dont ya dare show it when killers get killed??
Not showing the kill is weak. That's the only reason 94, 366 and counting people watched this video.
😂😂😂😂😂😂 sparrowhawks are the worst.
