BF4 rush maps where so unbalanced, at least the vanilla ones. BF3 was godly spectacular.

That occasional dice camo that makes every thing on the character near invisible on a thermal scope except their gun
I have it on PS4 and it helps a lot with the attack choppers, if I don't want to be seen by them I pull out my knife and prone with it.

I still have my M98B glitched from something already patched years ago and I will never remove the scope. Don't know how many people left have it, but basically I have the standard thermal scope that turns off the thermal going into variable zoom.

I used to run the FLIR like this on an SKS in Hardcore. Absolutely lethal at all ranges. Two shot kill. Hardcore is the best mode. And really, all Hardcore is, is “cheat mode off”! More lethal, no kill cam giving away your killers position, no 3D spotting. Brilliant.

I miss hardcore mode, and that was mostly due to being able to actually use the sniper from secure locations, and actually getting a kill from a distance. I think snipers really should have the Min-Max range 1-shot factor

This was also my favorite at BF4. Hardcore server, Turkish JNG-90 and the map were you fight on a island were there is storm. I really miss the hardcore mode on BF1 and BF5.

FLIR + Canted Irons was one of my favorite things to run on the 416 back in the day. Applied it to my M40 set up and it makes for some great counter-sniping

I've been using the FLIR x2 on the SRR sniper rifle for years. I've also ran canted ironsights alongside the flir.

I still avidly play hardcore on Xbox One, almost daily. Some servers run a lot of good dlc maps on hardcore mode, i just cant get enough. Love to see a new BF4 gameplay pop up from Jack, gets me excited to play more tomorrow. ❤️

I mean it can be used to great effect in some parts of the game. So long as they aren’t camping on a hill somewhere and are using the FLIR/IRNV sight to benefit their team and PTFO I have no issue with that. Hell, people use FLIR all the time on the tanks and nobody seems to have an issue with that...

What was even better to used to be able to see through smoke with the FLIR on BF4. I remember getting too spot on CQB maps for conquest m416 with FLIR and a grenade launcher with smoke

I made the move to hardcore on bf4 about 4 days in because I couldn't stand commander mode or the 3d spotting. Still playing it as much as I can all these years later
Miss being able to deploy smoke and rack up kills with thermal vision. All good OP tactics eventually get nerfed.

The smoke IR build was a monster in metro. Most people never ran IR scopes (especially at the beginning of the round) and you could just mop up tons of kills. Prone with a supply bag at your feet and a bipod LMG...
Man I loved using thermals. It always kicked ass on night maps or using smoke. The light was a flashlight that you could attach.

My favourite combo was an MG4 with 2x FLIR scope and a bipod. Rush to the middle of the outside section of Locker, hit prone, wrack up the bipod, and you've got that whole flank locked down. The killstreaks were insane!
