That’s a beautiful pooch. It’s funny how the kitty mama though seems happy she has a babysitter for her kittens. But the pooch will find out he’s going to have to work harder than he thought.

Dogs have an instinct that has served them well. They know that where there are kittens is a good place not to be because a mother cat may think you are a threat to the kittens are arrive suddenly in "wrong end of chainsaw mode". It is better to keep your distance.
I totally agree with Tiger that those kittens are terrifying. In a week or two they will be crawling all over him and hanging from his ears.
I would feel so anxious about a German shepherd that close to these tiny babies. I had the sweetest shep accidentally hurt one some years back and it didn't end well. He had no mean intentions but just didn't understand he was nudging too roughly. Tiger is so super sweet, clearly protecting them and it's so precious
