This car was sloppy on the looks and customization. I'm not expecting perfection but at least put some decent effort in it. But what else do you expect from a 9-year old game with outdated graphics.
This car screams late 90s early 2000s, it perfectly looks like something out of GTA IV

the smooth hood is in reference to the regular trans ams. the little vents were still below it in real life too. definitely funky and incomplete looking, but shouts to r* for leaving it accurate. interior also has similar design to the real car, as far as vent placements and layout goes.

Fun Fact, The headlight design looks very similar to a 1998 prototype Firehawk edition that was shown on Motor Week, they ditched the headlight design but I think it looks pretty cool.

The biggest disappointment for me about this car is that it isn't one of the tuners vehicles. It would have been nice to have the engine customization of the tuners. It just seems strange that it isn't given the dominator ASP is based on the mustang of the same era and is in the tuners class.
Tuners DLC was probably a one shot deal, I hope they add more cars but I doubt they will.
@@BigWheel. R* said they were adding more tuners in this update. The kanjo sj and the postlude are the cars rumoured to be in the tuners class. This car was a missed opportunity for them.

I give Rockstar a lot of credit on this car. It brings back a lot of memories from when I was a kid seeing the real Pontiac firebird models on the road up in Toronto. Hell my dad's dear friend from school that he stay in touch with all these years had one. It was the coolest car I ever seen. He kept it semi stock. He did change out the rims but in all he kept a pretty cool. He got rid of it though in 2002. I was really hoping he kept it. I was going to buy it off him

I absolute love dlc season, you usually have the video uploading around my dinner break at work, i watch on my break and then look forward to getting home and customising my own!!
These cars were also the ultimate sleeper cars. You could spend a couple grand to modify and walk all over almost anything on the street, Ferraris, Lamborghini’s, porches. They were way ahead of their time.
The next Drip Feed car is either gon be the Obey 10f(Audi R8) or Declasse Vigero (Chevy Camaro). Am excited!

I owned a 2001 WS6 trans am... Beast of car, and super underrated for its time.
Still underrated if you ask me. I've seen fbodys chase hellcats,supras you name it. If you can get the power out you'll get your moneys worth. I plan on building a catfish ss myself
I used to own a 2000 Trans Am. Maple Red metallic it was a beautiful car. Had a lot of work done to it and had an absolute blast with it and miss it wholeheartedly.
Keep up the great work, love realistic customization you do to your vehicles. I normally make my cars in this game look realistic and the way I’d drive them in real life
This was one of my dream cars growing up. My first car was a Pontiac Sunfire. Closest I came to getting it lol. I did prefer the smooth hood instead of the Trans Am hood though. Mad there aren't pop up headlights on this. That's my favorite thing about it. That said, this is one of the few cars I'm going to buy full price.
So glad this got added to the game, so unexpected yet here we are. I’m totally gonna park this next to my Dominator ASP, two legends from the late 90’s and early 2000’s.

Same, seems like some of the people complaining are forgetting this is GTA not Forza. I think it looks great in terms of GTA universe standards / fictional version of the real thing. Never would have expected we would get so many new vehicles over the years since 2013.

YESS i been waiting for this car to release! Personally I was more excited about this car than all the rest so I’m glad we got it released sooner than later
I noticed alot of people referring to this before it dropped as a Camaro, kind of like everyone calls the Pheonix a Camaro, when they are both way more hard leaning towards Trans ams
I used to think the pheonix was a camaro until I was debating it with someone online and I said the pheonix was the technical term for firebird lol

@@MerrittGamez Rockstar blends at least 2 real world cars together for all their designs, and the Pheonix definitely draws features from both the Camaro and the Trans Am, but other than the tail lights, the Pheonix is most definitely closer to a Trans Am. Same with the Nightshade, it takes from both but I find it means more towards the Camaro side
You can definitely build a pretty good replica of a ws6 / firehawk with this new ZZ-8.. you built a nice clean build as always ! Have a good week brother 🤘

I used to have 99 fire bird trans am just like that one. 5.7 V8. Best car ever. Super powerful being just stock. This model definitely does look like they last gen trans am.

The front end without the pop-ups looks like the slp firehawk version of the firebird, they removed the pop ups to reduce weight.

OMG it's finally here! The WS6 was my absolute favorite car as a kid, I've always thought they look so cool! For so many years I dreamed of getting one of these... and now I finally can! (Not quite as cool as getting one irl, but I'll take it!)
I love this era of firebirds. This was one of only 2 cars I was excited for in this update. The other being the Kanjo SJ.
The Coquette interior is so much more accurate than the interior that was given to it. It even has the offset radio and accessory panel towards the driver. The ONLY thing accurate about the interior is the circle vents which was typical late 90’s early 2000’s Pontiac.
I can definitely see people having a new crew emblem to be a firebird but if it’s on the door only I don’t think so

my first car was a 94 trans am in GM fire red with corvette c5 knockoff wheels and no muffler. i’ve never been able to replicate it in any game. when i got gta5 the first car i got was the og ruiner, but i’m really excited that now i can get a lot closer

I always loved this car as a kid, even if it’s not perfect it’s worth a buy for me personally.
I've actually been hyped for this car. Because originally when we went car shopping back in 2019 we were looking at a 1980's Pontiac Trans Am and my dad being the kill joy he is shot it down. We ended up getting our current which was a 2009 Chevy Cobalt LT and honestly I've always been a fan of Cobalts. I wanted an SS but it was too small for everyone. So we got the 4 door Cobalt. Also Broughy won't be doing any testing for the next two vehicles if anyone knew. I'm tempted to test it on my own and give my opinion sadly I don't have my own testing track the only track I have is my rally track and its a 51 second lap with the Draugur believe it or not.
Why would anyone buy an American car IRL?
So for my testing I did 5 laps on Cutting Coroner's GP. I ran the Ruiner, STX, and the ZZ-8. My results Ruiner- 1:15.476 Buffalo STX 1:09.371 Ruiner ZZ-8 1:14.575. In testing the Ruiner ZZ-8 I did infact notice the original has less grip but slightly faster acceleration. The ZZ-8 however has a higher top end and more grip around corners I was actually able to force it alittle more around the lap than the Ruiner. And ultimately I had alot of fun driving it. Do I see it being competitive? Maybe with the right driver however I will say this the ZZ-8 has suspension travel sort of similar to the old school ruiner and it felt like it had a bit of a bouncy flag but it's not very noticeable.

This is one of the cars from this update I was most excited for as the real life version was owned by one of my favorite vocalists; the late, great Layne Staley (with whom I also share a birthday with.) Makes me wonder if perhaps someone on the R* team is an Alice in Chains fan and that's why this car released within the same week as his birthday 🤔
I kept thinking about that quote from him, Someone mentioned that he was interested in buying one and it was his intention to do he may not have followed through did he ever own the ws6??

@@subhashxrecord3131 he did indeed own one in black with a license plate that said CHAINZ. If you look up "Layne Staley Trans Am" you can find quite a few pictures of it. Naturally I had to make my Ruiner ZZ-8 look as similar to his WS6 as possible. Only part missing is the license plate as I'm on ps5 and haven't figured out the workaround.

The fact that most of the racing liveries are a reference to IROC is pretty neat of Rockstar to add! I'm sure people will want to do organized oval racing with the car and those liveries
With that livery, and the very classic 90’s look, and the amount of detail in the car (besides the interior) This will make a great addition in gta

3 things that could have been better. The headlights could be a bit thicker, the rear lights should be rounder in the middle and the side skirt should be higher. Other that it's an instant buy

Just like most East Coast cities/towns growing up in the late 90's early 2000's they had a Pontiac dealership right in the center of town with these cars lined up so everyone could see them. Red,white & black. Never forget them, & here's 11-12 year old me thinking one of these would be my FIRST car. 🤣 That's before I found out the engine was basically 💩 & was all just an expensive piece of slow plastic wrapped an overpriced V6-V8 if you're lucky. 😂😂

the vigero Vx will cost 1.9 million. but it is the fastest Muscle on the track (already proven) a million times prettier, and it sounds better and has better visual modifications than the Zz8

I have waited so hard for this car. I have made my character look like Layne Staley (a very famours grunge-singer) and he owned this trans am back in the day. I made it look like his and even added the custom "chainz" plate he had on there. Now my character fits perfectly to this car

Awesome I was wondering if they'd add this and it was this dlc. My dad had an 99 anniversary Firehawk edition when it came out. I thought these looked ok. the hood scoop makes it look of mean. Real cool they made it look just like the real one but gave it a newish interior
