Keep em coming bro!!!
Free is best for me. Send me your money.
Yeah I have watched it
1. 1917 2. Mosul 3. The Forgotten Battle 4. The Outpost 5. The Last Full Measure HONORABLE MENTIONS: Sandcastle The Siege of Jadotville Danger Close The Bombardment Narvik: Hitler's First Defeat
Mosal was incredible! Camera work and acting was awesome. Very intense.
The Siege of Jadotville is also a good movie !! Based on the Irish soldiers posted in Congo as part of UN Peace Keeping forces during the 1960s
Yes that is on Netflix. Great movie.
This movie one of the underrated movie
Jadotville great movie ! 👍
Jabotville was done very good. Very cool movie and i believe it had a minimal ammount of hollywwod/ fantasy bullshit, which i detest in " based on a true story" CLAIMS...Good stuff
I agree. Excellent.
5. The Last Full Measure 4. The Outpost 3. The Forgotten Battle 2. Mosul 1. 1917
A1C William (Bill) Pitsenbarger was a USAF Pararescue PJ who volunteered to go down and stay on the ground after the army medic was wounded and evacuated. He was not an Army medic. That was what got to so many troops on the ground. An Air Force guy right there in the thick of it when he didn’t have to be there. …These things we do that others may live. My father is a former PJ.
I was as well hats off to your dad! Pitts is our Chesty Puller like the marines have! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
PJs rock, they are basically a cross between a SEAL and an ER doc. My dad was CINC ARRS and later 23d Air Force.
The Citadel wow I worked in S Carolina for awhile once u graduate from there you are set great network! SEALS do the heavy lifting we just help out if they need us. Very smart guys and some great dudes.
Being An Air Force vet I came to comment on the same thing. Building on Randolph AFB where I was at is named after him.
Thanks for posting Anthony
I would actually place Mosul over 1917. Mosul was that good of a movie.
1917 was fantastic, you saying Mosul is better, !! next movie I watch ! thx !
That is a daring comment…. But I take your word for it!
Yes, Mosul is a great film.
1. the last full measure 2. the outpost 3. the forgotten battle 4. mosul 5. 1917
Midway is really good I enjoyed that 1917 I didn't think much of
Mosul is the best ! Truely gritty and heartbreaking at the same time.....truely a masterpiece !!
Danger Close is a very accurate and factual depiction of the Battle of Long Tan, fought by the Australians in Vietnam.
Danger Close is an amazing movie but I think its on Prime, it kind of has a cheesy direct to dvd movie name which I think is why its not as popular as it should be.
It is on Netflix Australia as well.
@@benfletcher8174 it’s not in American Netflix just searched it 😞
@@g1llifer It isn't as popular here, because it was an Aussie movie. The movies coming out of places other than the US are amazing.
Didn't Kiwis fight there too?
The forgotten Battle was my favorite off this list. Forget the Un synced lips - it's worth it.
The Last Full Measure is the story of Air Force Pararescueman, William Pittsenbarger. He was not an Army medic. You should know that Samuel Jackson, William Hurt and Peter Fonda did this film for "cost" only. In other words, they volunteered for the film.
You caught this before me.He flew in the old eggbeaters, before the Jollygreens.
The Forgotten Battle is truly a gem. Really happy to find it in your review! I started watching it out of curiosity, expecting a "cheap-o" production; but it is quite the opposite. Not to mention multiple compelling and masterfully casted and acted storylines, the history within the film is accurate and the visuals are superb. Fantastic movie!
I agree. I was very impressed with this hidden gem of a movie.
@@TDR85 Indeed, Enjoyed the movie.
I had low expectations as well, but ended up being very impressed. Way better than any of the action garbage the US has put out lately.
I’ve seen 1917, Mosul and The outpost. All very good. I’ll definitely check out the other two on this list. Love a good war flick!
Consider myself lucky to have watched 1917 on 4DX screen on the very last show of it's last Day !!! What an Ultimate experience it was.
I thought 1917 was very poor.
What about "The Bombardment"? ... a terrific movie for many reasons, but especially for its description of how times of war was experienced and seen through the eyes of children.
I just watched "The Shadow In My Eye" (aka, "The Bombardment") a few days ago. That was a great yet sad movie. It should have been listed on here.
Unfortunately, it wasn't yet released when I started working on this video.
Watching this right now. Incredibly moving story.
Excellent opinion!!! Great War movie based on a true movie
Great list. ‘The. War Below’ and ‘Danger Close’ are great contenders as well.
Outpost was excellent...but can't wait to try the others!!!
Danger Close - The Battle of Long Tan has just come up on Netflix
I saw all of these movies and enjoyed them all. 1917 was underwhelming for me though. I like your list.
a very good selection. The Forgotten Battle, I knew men from the Canadian army who fought in it, Mosul was riveting and was the Outpost.
Bravo Two Kilo, is an incredible movie, as is Siege of Jadotville, and Hyena Road, Canadian movie, are all true stories and very intense. There are some amazing movies out there, and as far as your list goes, Mosul was outstanding!
William H. Pitsenbarger was an Airforce Pararescuer not an army medic
You're right. Not sure where I got Army Medic from.
Sandcastle is also a really great representation of how people who didn’t not think they were signing up for a war thought.
1917 and Dunkirk are two of my favorites
Saw The Last Full Measure listed on Sky, read the description and decided it would not be up to much. Few days later channel hopping and it was on. Watched to the end. So happy that I did. One of the best, most powerful and moving films I've ever seen.
Totally agree, had me in floods of tears
I watched Mosul twice and it is one of the good war movies that showed me how brutal war is.
Mosul and the Forgotten Battle are two of the best war movies I've watched in recent years.
personally black hawk down needs a spot on all these types of lists. and this year bringing the movie “All quiet on the western front” to netflix i’d say it deserves the number one spot on the list. also siege of jadotville, and 13 hours, and many more. thanks bro for making this list tho. great quality content, keep it up.
I just checked Netflix and “Danger Close” and “1917” aren’t listed. What’s up with that?
These are great! I’ve seen the Outpost and 1917 but I never knew about the other ones. I will definitely watch them all
He wasn’t an Army medic, he was Air Force Pararescue, one of the most physical challenging specialties in DOD that includes air, sea and land ops!
Don't forget about T-34. It's a subtitled movie about a WW2 Russian tank commander that's captured by the Nazis after he was wounded in battle. While in a prison camp he's tasked by a familiar Nazi tank commander to participate in tank-based exercise that he's determined to not only survive but escape while doing so. This movie must not be missed.
Great movie indeed!!!
And those cgi shots of the tank rounds in slo-mo...absolutely fantastic! Made me love playing Warthunder even more.
Great movie. Good one bro
1917 is a really good film. Watched it a while ago and was amazed at how good it is.
I wanna know y’all’s top 3 fav military movies here are my 3: We were soldiers, Outpost, and Danger Close
The Forgotten Battle is a fantastic film. Perhaps going under a lot of people's radar unfortunately, but it really is very very good. 1917 is incredible.
Yeah your collection is helpful for me. I have watched only 1917. But i will watch all the remaining four.
William Pitsenbarger was not a medic in the US Army. Pitsenbarger was a Pararescueman (PJ) in the USAF.
Yesterday I watched a movie called all quiet on the western front. SO GOOD❤
Thank you!!
I really enjoyed the forgotten battle, the outpost was pretty good as well. I ha e to check out the others.
We were soldiers is incredible. I always watch it when it comes on tv.
I've only seen 1917 but plan on viewing others on your list. 1917 was nothing short of brilliant. A moving story and true to life action. The tactics, gear and effects were spot on a must watch.
I'm a huge war movie fan, and I really didn't dig 1917. It had the opportunity to be a hundred times better
@@tigersman05 suggest some best
@@SSBCOMRADE Saving private Ryan Platoon The thin red line All quiet on the western front (first one)
This is the first time av come across your videos..I gat to say..as a war movie fan😝you did good..this is a great video 💥💯as we speak am watching the forgotten battle😂yeah.. you've convinced me
The bombardment is truly a Great War movie also
The Forgotten Battle is the best for me ❤️😱
13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi. Probably not the same genre, but Beasts of No Nation is also brilliant.
Saw all 5. U are correct. All great to watch. Forgotten Battle also focuses on Dutch resistance providing key information
Great suggestions!
A very solid list. The Forgotten Battle is excellent.
I've watched Mosul twice. It's incredible.
The forgotten battle was an amazing movie and the actors ✨✨WOOW✨
Already watched nr 2 n nr 1. Both are great.
The Forgotten Battle shows British soldiers, or maybe Canadians, with SMLE rifles. By that time Brits and Canadians were armed with No. 4 rifles. Only the Aussies, Kiwis, and Indians use SMLEs throughout WWII>
Watched Mosul....It's a hidden gem. Fully recommended.
I’ll have to check out the other ones but Mosul was really good
Great list..!! Thanks..
Damn! I've only seen the Full Measure and 1917, both great movies. I'd add Danger Close and Siege Of Jadotville
I have seen all movies and all are good . Forgotten battle is a little slow until 2nd half then it gets good. Out post is a real action drama. I need to watch them again to get the big picture because some the jump around .
although older The Seige of Jadotville is very good
One of my favorite war movies of all time!
I wish Netflix offered a "war" category instead of lumping war movies under "action" movies. Good list of films!
The Forgotten Battle highlights the contribution of the Canadians, a bunch not given enough credit.
What ? Saving private Ryan is way better than 1917. Saving private Ryan is one of the best movies ever.
The Last Full Measure doesn’t seem to be available on Netflix. 🤔
Ya but why
@@sokratisghardashi3948 found out it’s not available in all regions. 😕
I really enjoyed The Forgotten Battle, not only because of the story telling and the visuals, but because you rarely see a war movie that includes Canada in it, and as a Canadian myself, I really enjoyed seeing us being included since we're usually forgotten (no pun intended)
I'm not sure why Canadians rarely get a mention, they certainly proved themselves in both world wars. I'm a kiwi. So an unbiased opinion
I’ve seen both The Outpost and 1917, both amazing movies! I’ll be watching the other 3 soon due to this video, so thank you!!
The Forgotten Battle is really good WW2 film, very realistic with a great storyline.
Thanks CG
didn't realie 1917 was on netflix. Watched it in the cinema, amazing movie.
First of all thanks for the invested video, second thing order is from worst to good or random?
They are in order from what I recommend people watch who are looking for good movies. Number #1 I recommend the most.
1917 and the outpost, really gripping
Good job!
Mosul is one of the best war movie ever up there with platoon and saving private ryan
Sgt Harry Reese, 48th PA, was nominated for the CMOH for the Battle of the Crater and never got it. His congressman in PA didn't care to follow up.
Mosul was great. Love foreign war movies.
Thanks for the list and introduction. That fast tickling effect throughout your video is to represent the constant pressure in war? It is quite annoying.
The forgotten battle is good I like subs but as i was watching on a tablet i found English audio What was missing in this was amtracks or as we called them in Britain buffalos Mark felton has a good docu video on this battle
I’ve seen all except Mosul. All are great. You stated Pits was an Army medic. He was actually a USAF Pararescueman. Please correct
The Forgotten battle is excellent. You can see whats happening and it gets there with finesse.
No problem with any of your picks but I would have give #1 to Outpost.
Fury and Inglorious Basterds would be at the top of my list...
1917 were removed... or is it only remove in my region? im on south east asia...
i cry in that movie last measure
Please upload a video about Vietnam war famous sniper history white feather
The Outpost is absolutely terrific.
Wrong order 1- the Outpost, 2 -Mosul, 3 -1917, 4 forgotten battle 5 LFM
the outpost was number 1 lol no it wasn't it should not be on the list
accurate
Agreed! Also, Ghost Platoon book by John Campbell is the most badass military thriller I've read this year.
We are not taking about books okay buddy stop it
I have seen Mosul and it is a very good movie.
Agreed!
They should add danger close
The Forgotten Battle & 1917 are both excellent movies! If you've not seen them, do so!
#5 He wasn't an Army Medic. He was Air Force Pararescue.
Hacksaw Ridge incredi ble ! Andrew Garfeild killed it in this. Excellent movie!
After all this, i am still waiting for Bruno Ganz DOWNFALL to be available in Netflix..
Excellent flick!!
13 hours is my fav.❤
1917 was a really good movie I thought. I really enjoyed its storyline and I thought the graphics were really good. It is one of my favorite titles in my movie library.
Some of these movies are the reason why I still haven’t cancelled my sub to Netflix
I love "seige of jadotville"
My fav war movie is the movie called midway it’s about the battle of the coral sea which is where I’m from
The Last Full Measure... Pitsenbarger was a USAF PJ not an Army medic.
True
Anybody with a brain should watch Generation War.. German made series (with subtitles). Its authentic, amazingly accurate at showing the time period.. one of the top WWII series out there.
Yes. Is also known as 'Unsere Mutter, Unsere Varter' in German. Worth a watch.
