Nice
Coolll
It's a big bore miracle 😁💖😁
That intro killed me!!! 🤣🤣😄😄
This guy in every video: **shoots big recoil guns** **laughs it off**
This man is a psycho all I think when he starts laughing
Because it’s fun, don’t blame him for that.
What's This? This is really not a big recoil gun and it is considered “medium bore” for the most part. The true large bore really begin around the .416 Rigby and then move into their own around the .450 or .475NE. Large bores are a completely different animal than what this guy does.
mashin gun mg 42
David Lofton no a 45-70 is absolutely considered big bore lol. Especially the souped up auto.
Scott: I hate eggplants! Scott: *shoots eggplants* *eggplant seeds grow on the range* Scott: can't wait until Friday!
Dude Yeah man !
And he still buying eggplants🤤
At least they'll be salted well lol
I've commented on this on many of Scott's videos, but I'll keep saying it: this man's impeccable form while shooting hard-hitting rifles just blows my mind. I don't know how big Scott is, but I'm barely under 6' and 240lbs, and it's all I can do to maintain form shooting my 45-70s and 300 win mags. Scott does it with elephant guns. Not a hint of a flinch. Just....WOW.
Yeah because he's in the gym or he has his own 1/3 of his life...💪
I can hold it and I'm a lot smaller. I just want to know how much it cost
You can just tell Scott is a man raised on respect, truly a man's man! Love his content
Use to be the standard here in KY. Unfortunately that way is dying.

nothing wrong with eggplant . goes nice as a side dish baked with venison steaks

I am allergic to eggplants. So, kill 'em!
Pretty much the halfway point between battle rifle and anti-material, and I'm here for it
1/8th steel is first level armor thickeness, it may go through 1/4 and if it can do that it's anti-material
Thst 1/8th inch steel was mild steel. Armor steel is high carbon and heat treated lol@@dustinontaiyabbi5608
Thanks Scott, once again you nailed it. The 45-70 is my favorite round. And to put it in a AR, OMG. Keep it coming.
I want to see Paul Harrells classic “meat target” blown up by the .45/70auto AR
YES
Absolutely the biggest YES to this👍👍👍👌
Scott you would earn an astronomical amount of cool point if you replicate the meal target with 45-70 auto. 😃😃😃😃
There has to be a way to make this happen!

Need to see some long range ballistic damage …..maybe on a ballistic zombie or something! Comparisons with other ammo at distance would be cool!
Hey Scott, because of this video I went and got on their waiting list. A few months ago I got the call. Picked it up recently, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, it feels like a solid build. Everything is smooth, no rattle, it's nice! I did let them know I found them because of your video -- which they have a link to up on their site! :)
Dang.. when did you order yours? I'm still waiting 8 months later... order it back in July of '22
@@pkkc66 I'm sorry to hear that man. I received the email that they were ready to take a limited order in July of '22, put my order in the next day, and I think I got it in late August? I'd give them a call! Maybe they had an issues with one of the barrel blanks?
Goddamn these are commercial? I need one how much are we talking?

Then he just walks onto his porch and shoots them haha booom
This is the first video that made me audibly excited and hysterical in a long time. I so desperately want one of these now. The endless laughter, joy and security it would bring... Subscribed!
Carried those 4" blocks around in each hand setting mobile homes for a couple of years. Good to see them used for something fun for a change.
I must admit your ability to keep your bullet groupings so tight is rather impressive. I know you're not super far away from your targets, but you're firing pretty quickly with a monster of a round and a heavy rifle, keeping them pretty close.
It may be a monster of a round buts being fired by a monster of a man. Do you see how big his arms are. Hes Kentucky Hulk Hogan XD
Also an AR platform. On average ARs don't recoil very much. If the group isn't tight with an AR then that's a shooter problem, not the firearm. IMHO

`I LOVE 54-70, my great uncle was a gunsmith and had a huge shooting rang on his ranch. I was 9 years old and he sat me on a bench with a trapdoor and told me to take a shot. blew me off the stool he was standing behind me and cought me. He about had a heart attack when he looked through the spotting scope and I 9 ringed at 50 yards. Been in love with the round ever since. have many 45-70's and love each one rolling blocks, trapdoors, lever. but dont have a semi have to add that to my list
This is so wholesome. KZhead for the whole family.
This AR gives off Big Bick energy.
"Judging from where the sun is right now ........ IT'S WATERMELON TIME !" 🤣😄👏
Going back through your old old videos and man, its wild how much bigger you are after the accident then before. It's like almost dying motivated you to get even bigger than you were before!
Dude, I'm so glad you got so much more comfortable in front of the camera in your later videos. You're so much more reserved here, but then your animated nature really shines as your confidence builds. It's healthy and encouraging to see.

The removal of the rim is to somewhat facilitate extraction, yes, but its main purpose is so it can easily feed from box magazines. It was the main reason rimless cartridges were invented.

Quickly becoming my favorite Utube channel period, regardless of topic. You make me smile sir and I need all the smiles I can get these days. Thanks for being you. Do you know what that 45-70 auto rifle weighs?? I'm gonna purchase a big bore AR in the near future. I already have a Nemo 300 win mag AR with their designed self dampening BCG. It's a beast also. It weighs 10 lbs.
Back in the day, there was not only a 45-70. The straight Shartp's cartridges ran all the up to a 45-120 and a 50-110. I would love to see one of those two in semi-auto.
There was also the gunsmith special round for the sharps. The 50-140 which is supposedly ballistically similar to the 500 black powder express (which is the parent case to the 500 nitro express)
Agreed. But not at that coat. $5 a shot.
What is the point of anything bigger than 45-70? Back in the day, they needed the longer case to pack more black powder for more power. These days, 45-70 can be bought at insane pressures because of smokeless powder.
@@leeham6230why? Why not?

00:29 * starts playing Rock with you*
God bless you, a Patriot after my own heart. My love affair with the 45-70 started at 14 shooting my grandfather's lever action from horse back here in California if you can believe it. Pulling it from the original scabbard he had made for it and the sound of click/click BOOM. I was hooked to say the least. When I learned of Phoenix Arms coming out with an 45-70 on an AR platform I just about did backflips. However on account of the pricing I've had to thin my collection a wee bit. But she's on her way. Stay frosty, from the big bore brother's squad 🇺🇸🔱🔰⚡
It's nice of you feeding the wildlife . Good job !
I think when you shot through the door into the 5 gallon jug of water . The bullet ended up spilling out of the jug when it spun around . Then the bullet fell out in front of the jug between it and the door. Nice and clean like in the soda- pop bottle . Check your footage .. about 12:05 - 12:07 Love the SHOW like Always !!
It was only a matter of time before someone invented this...
Thank you. Phoenixweaponry.com

Just amazing I love the 4570 rounds I have an old trapdoor Springfield it only shoots black powder only but I do have some 500Gr, there so slow you can actually watch them go down range
That's an impressive round. Do a comparison to other calibers. That would be cool.

When I was looking get a big bore upper to finish off an AR I was putting together, the 45-70 auto wasn’t even on my radar, it was the .458 SOCOM or the .450 Bushmaster. I chose the .458 because it was a lot cheaper, and the ammo was 40% less too. I’ve not been disappointed either. The recoil was very light and that amazed me. Thanks for the fun video.
I had the same idea. Terminal ballistics-wise, 458 is comparable to 45-70 but cycles in a short action and doesn’t require special magazines.
