w h a t the hell... Every time I listen to a new Boris album, I think, "Ah yes, now I have finally finished their discography," and then I find another album that wasn't on my radar. It's weird, but I love this inaccessibility. It's almost like finding treasure every time, an obscure, barely known treasure. Loving this so much.
eah like whre dafuq did this come from lol thank you boris gods
underrated album
what does this mean? underrated? by whom? you want this piece of art to be mainstream? i do not understand.
@@markuselipka not rated or valued highly enough.
CORINGA PRODUÇÕES
Seriously though it was the only mainline Boris I'd never checked out till recently cause it's not on streaming and I'm highly impressed
Boris are one of my favourite bands, but for some reason, I've put off listening to this album for a long time. Listening now, I'm mad at myself. This is stunning.
Elegy is just unreal.
Just started listening to boris and this is by far my favourite from them. Also bought ticket to their show next month. Great stuff.
This album is such a classic man
7:00 makes me so happy, man
Sometimes the album cover moves
Yes it does my friend!
Sadako is in that hole
Depends on stress levels
One of their best after Flood and Feedbaker
Those are my top three as well. Honorable mentions go to Akuma no Uta and Dronevil to round out the top 5.
Mirano is so emotional, I don't understand a word of Japanese but this song makes me drown in feels
Hope they reissue this on vinyl soon
Holy shit I should've looked up this album earlier.
Yeah seriously. I consider them my favorite band and yet they are always slipping pure gold right past me unnoticed.
...6 years later. Seems to be my turn now.
Damn, this rocks hard. Love Boris indefinitely
Oh my god, give these guys a raise! So good. Thanks for making it available!
i hear them for the first time; i'm not young, so i remember some musicians of the past... ummagumma's pink floyd, high tide, eno, for example... very good! :-)
Glad you enjoyed it. Check their other album Noise if you haven't already listened to it.
*pf's ummagumma good listens there man
Absolutely 110%. Obscured By Clouds also comes to mind 🙂

+Danzelot Bonapart For a second I thought the second song was titled "edgy" lmao.
I wouldn't put that past Boris, haha.
Thank you for your time. I'm adding it in the description.
They destroy everything they touch
I keep discovering albums 😁😁😁😁
just got new computer speakers, this was my go to, thanks boris, thanks rainy season, rock on
i was using a boom box and it was to the left side of my laptop, now i can actually hear the bass!
なんなんやろこのアルバムめちゃくちゃ落ち着く😌
Thanks for sharing! I can't find this album anywhere!
Been a while since an album blown me away first listen. Known about this band for a few years and this still was a surprise.
One of their greatest albums, and hidden too.It restored my faith in them after New Album and the second Heavy Rocks which were just good but not outstanding. Dear and Love Evol also are brilliant returns to form. This needs a CD release!
Thank you for this… ❤️🔥
Brillant album!!
Man I swear 🤣every time I listen too a new album I'm like "THIS IS MY FAVORITE BORIS ALBUM"
i cant believe i missed this release.
My exact same thought upon first listen.

Castel in the Air has a subtle Burzum vibe to it
24:58 is slept on
Agalloch - The Mantle album you guys might like. Different Genre but they’re like Boris special. Almost
yes yes yes
always lol @ perforated line
listening to December during the month of December is such a perfect experience. Waiting all year for a perfectly timed dreamy meditation when things are so melancholic. Will do again next year if i don’t kill myself by then
you good man?
10/10
15 mins in, so far sooo good
I like that.
Yes
holy fuck this album
Have they ever did an album that was sounded similar to another Boris album???
Who else thought their phone was going off during Method Of Error?
did s.a.t.a.n inc produce your phone ;):s?..
Bataille Sucre!!
That song is the bomb
Is this photograph from an electron microscope?
Arron Phillips I think you're right.
+Arron Phillips präparat = specimen/slide preparation for a microscope in german, so I think so
I love Boris, but I wish they weren't so committed to release glut, manufactured scarcity and experimentation for its own sake. Since Smile, they've all but crippled themselves with this nonsense. Buried somewhere in New Album/Heavy Rocks/Attention Please is one killer album. Same goes for the best of Praparat & Noise (especially if you throw in the glorious MBV cover).
I understand the frustration. Boris is a touring band, and they play like jazz musicians. The set at the start of a tour might be the same at the end, but it won't sound the same. Sometimes, they'll even play a gig without drums. So which version do they record? (Think, "a bao a qu," or "Rainbow"...) I've heard a few things at performances I've never found recorded, and they'll sometimes sell cheap CD's of stuff that never hits the stands. The flip side of all this is that there are a lot of different "killer albums" out there in various pieces. The US release of "Smile" didn't really light my fire. But the live version did. Listening to Boris is a personal treasure hunt. And when you do find something that grabs your attention, it's pretty much guaranteed that it'll do it in a way you've never heard before. I've probably listened to "Method of Error" at least a hundred times.
This is exactly the excitement of being a Boris fan. Other bands treat many releases with the same attention, creating expectation for their fans without any guarantee of satisfaction. Boris puts the burden of attention on the listener, throwing red herrings out intentionally to force more careful analysis of whether what you're hearing is actually as good as your expectations... When I found this album tonight I had no idea it even existed, yet all this time I had been thinking I had heard pretty much every "significant" Boris release.
first two tracks are genius, rest ranges from garbage to almost good. typical post-2006 boris album.
How come? I'm curious to know why you think that.
@@evantaylor9566 well, how much I like every individual track mostly comes down to subjective preference, but as an example, I hate how in perforated line, a track with real potential is just suddenly dropped and left to rot as a whacky interlude. I also really abhor the production on many of the tracks and/or think that their structures are bad. method of error is a good example for both of those: it sounds like absolute shit and on top of that it just goes nowhere. and I have more or less the same thing to say about everything boris have released since dronevil -final-; there are typically one or two tracks which I really really love, but I don't care for the rest. the only exception ironically is attention please, which a lot of boris fans don't seem to like, but I think that album's consistency really stands out against the "ehhhh whatever, we're boris, fuck it, we don't care anymore, we'll just do...whatever" feeling that I get from the messy structure of their other post-2006 albums.
@@milkmanswife93696 thanks for the reply. Honestly I was just curious because Dear got me into the band. I find it funny that you hate method of error while it’s my favourite song on this album. It helped me write about an intense confrontation for my comic. Anyways, just know that as a new fan of the band I was just curious to know a veteran’s perspective and was not disappointed.
@@milkmanswife93696 Method of error is one of the best tracks boris has released. The way guitar and drums are structured is literally bonkers, to a point of absurdity. It somehow manages to sound normal, while literally making a mistake in their lines all the time. then it somehow folds and ends up with an amazing crescendo of lofi wonder. It is called method of error, because it is designed to sound as if it is assembled from mistakes during jamming. Your tastes are of course yours to keep and you might hate this because it doesn't sound well for you, but the effort they put in this song is nowhere near close to what most of the bands you can find on earth achieve. It is one of the best racks for me.
