When you think about it, you spend the whole game worrying that V might be changed by johnnys presence, but in the end, it was V who changed Johnny. For the better even. Now johnnys is actually free of Night city. Him finally being able to leave NC seems like such a huge metaphor, I love this game.

Lmao yea, I have only played with my V looking like this and now I cannot go back even if I am doing a new playthrough because the whole game and voice just doesn’t fit to anybody else. Really great that CDPR managed to make a character this good while also giving us pretty much free reign for customisation, not a lot of games manage to do this to such a big degree.

Honestly, this would be the ending I have the least regrets with if Johnny had just contacted V's friends to tell them what happened. At the very least tell them he's essentially dead to provide some closure. Hate that they just get ghosted.

I know there are better endings, but don’t fear the reaper and give body to Johnny felt honestly like a movie. Despite fighting like hell to survive, you still fail, but giving your body to Johnny instantly makes the ending way more awesome.

My favourite ending. I like the idea to give Johnny a second chance. Especially then I realised that there's no survival for V one way or another. If you try to secure yourself you probably automatically killing Johnny. Very selfish. Leaving the body to Johnny is the most human thing you can do in this nightmare Night City. I just finished this game yesterday and got this ending. Very few games have made me ugly cry. I’m a grown ass man and have dealt with chronic depression that has been punctuated with suicidal ideation and a couple attempts. I did exactly what you did here. I went to the well and spoke to Johnny and I got up and decided it was best to give him our body. I walked towards the light and had a breakdown while Johnny tried to stop me. When V said that he was tired, it was like I was back in that place where everything seemed utterly hopeless and fucking exhausting. I’ve been tired. So tired. And when you’re tired, every decision is labored. It’s what drove me towards suicide - to be free from the shackles that this cruel and pointless universe decided to place on me, unwillingly, in its pursuit of some twisted, fucked up cosmic justice. I cried for a good hour after the credits rolled. I’ve started a new game, and I hope to find other decisions to make as well. One of the best games I’ve ever played that’s for sure

Reading something that a stranger has written on the internet, and feeling that you have felt exactly the same as him is very strange, but it feels good. When I finished the game for the first time back in 2020 (I was lucky not to have many bugs), I noticed how something broke in me. I found the lack of hope that this video game reflects completely heartbreaking. It made me notice things that I myself was hiding, to make me feel better, and not feel like I was afraid of failure and death. A month later, my grandmother passed away, and that broken part in me grew bigger and bigger. As time has passed, thanks to my friends, family and new audiovisual media that have made me think differently (such as the writer Brandon Sanderson and his Stormlight Archive novels), my mental health has improved a lot. But recently, I have replayed cyberpunk to go into the new expansion as prepared as possible, and I have found that this game continues to leave me broken inside. Not a big hole like at the time, but a small one, which is impossible to cover. But life is like that sometimes, and you have to move forward, step by step, hoping that everything will get better. And as Johnny said at the end: "Haven't forgotten a thing. Never will" I hope that if you read this you have not only a good day, but a good life.

It's a good ending, it's just not a particularly happy ending. Compared to the others it's one of the more hopeful conclusions. V is lost but Johnny stays and it seems like through your choices you do actually change him for the better. It's just unfortunate the other characters aren't very welcoming, but with Johnny's known history it should be expected.

Well with this ending, we just don't know. It is the least interesting for V in this game, but if they do a sequel, having a version of V beyond the blackwall is cool for so many reasons. For example, they could fold female / male v into one because gender doesn't need to be a thing beyond the blackwall. Plus then it gives us an interesting thing that's beyond to try and learn about and contact. The mysterious AI named V that disappeared beyond the blackwall. Since I doubt they would bring Keanu back, it would be an interesting way to carry V over in the next game even if it is set many years later.

I believe there is an ending where he ends up as an homeless guy. Its a sad ending for him for sure but it gives me bit of a ease bc he isnt wishing V death or bad will but he is making him responsible where ended up. In the other ones he wishes you to rot in hell in this one he is like "Yeah you fcked my life." But also its kind of a freedom for him yeah he is homeless and poor but at least he is free from Arasaka. The "good" ending for him just doesnt exist. If you side with Arasaka he just becomes the man he was and will eventually someday forget this whole thing forget about V and what he/she did for him. Dont fool yourself Johnny is right Takemura might like you but he would sacrifice you in an instant if he can return to his old life and get revenge for Saburo. Its a shame really.

This ending is quite something else. At the end you realize Johnny has a lot of guilt within himself, he blames himself for what happened to Alt and tries so damn hard to help V cause he's the one person he can still save. So when he realizes V in fact cannot be saved it really hits him. He actually misses V and feels bad for the fact that he kinda stole V's identity in this ending. And maybe he even misses his friend, cause V is the one person who gets him and knows him better than anyone. And maybe that's why this is actually the good ending for everyone. Johnny gets a second chance and V accomplishes his goal in someway, escaping death. And at the end, the story of Johnny Silverhand ends, with him finally finding what eluded him all this life, Peace.

What indicates that this kind of a bad ending is the message from Misty with her tarot cards. She clearly tells that Vs fate is worse then even death. So in my mind when V crosses that bridge she/he becomes part of Alt similar to every other Mikoshi soul and is forced to do her bidding. We all know that Alt wants Mikoshi gone but what then? Her motives were always kinda shady. For me this ending is like Devil 2.0 you give up yourself to Alt and she can do whatever she wants with you. Of course she says going with her is smarter that way you help her in her bidding and her basically saying "Well what you gonna do anyway in your body you dead anyway?" is more proof in my eyes. Being a slave to an AI? nah thanks. I rather die in the most painful way then be stuck in Cyberspace doing someones bidding. Alt is still a big question mark.

Just shows how nuanced the writing is in these areas. Gotta love cdprs story department. Big fan of them since they managed to incorporate the Witcher games into an already existing universe to a degree that I have not seen before in any other media when it comes to books.

My interpretation: She thought she was reading it for V, in which case it would be bad, but she was actually reading it for Johnny. She interpreted the cards wrong imo. Hanged Man (V's decision to end his life), Magician (Johnny's continued existance is basically magic), then Star (Johnny redeems himself)

Its a good reading if you know what happened to her. The Hanged man represents the sacrifice V did. And the Star represents hope. Misty doesn't know V is dead so to her perspective, shes not in a good spot. From our perspective it represents the sacrifice she made and new life beyond her physical body

After doing the don't fear the reaper ending, I wasn't originally gonna give Johnny my body, but after Alt finished her talk I just felt like it was the right thing to do. V is a dead man on borrowed time and there's no way I believed Panam's "contacts" or whatever were going to be any real help. This way, the body wont go to waste, V moves on into a digital afterlife and Johnny can finally have his second chance to live.

I think this is the best ending for The Sun ending in any case. Path of Glory and the lunar mission feels empty and leaves on a big cliffhanger compared to the others, not to mention V would be yet again working with a megacorp due to Mr. Blue Eyes hinted at being a AI controlled Night Corp agent.

*The Hanged Man* - To let go, or perhaps, give up, and accept what is. A reversal grants a new perspective. On the other hand... *The Magician* - To take conscious action. One experiences power, creating an impact with singleness of purpose. But most importantly... *The Star* - A distant light. Hope and inspiration, perhaps, in the sense that the light could be a future to reach for? Or does it represent something that will never be within reach? As someone who's familiar with general tarot meanings and possible interpretations, it irks a little that they seem to have intentionally picked cards that _do_ fit V's actions in the context of this ending, but chosen a completely different interpretation of what happened to him, unrelated to the cards. It's like whoever picked the cards out knew what they were saying, but someone completely different actually wrote Misty's dialogue. Ah well.

Funny that you mention that because I’ve also thought about this exact thing. If this was a movie, I can totally see this ending being told through the eyes of Panam instead of V/johnny like the rest of the story is told. This would add a ton of mystery around the answer if V is still himself or if he is Johnny, or if V never really was himself anymore since „coming back from the dead“ and having Johnny in his mind in the first place. My headcanon ending is also the space one, where V becomes a huge player and legend just to go for the Hail Mary with Mr. Blue eyes. I’m torn between this and leaving it all behind with Panam, I play a cold and calculated V who at the end of the day works towards helping others rather than himself (sound like polar opposite traits I know). I’m wondering if I should either have him do his final good deed and give Johnny a second chance, or for Panam by staying with her until the end, don’t know what I should do but this ending seems like the most fulfilling.

Johnny got a second chance… V couldn’t have survived in her own body unlike Johnny, but at least she is now alive in cyberspace… maybe in the future when we have tech to recreate bodies like altered carbon, we can always be reincarnated. I’d say this is as good as the arasaka ending if not better. In the arasaka ending v was uploaded to cyberspace with the hope she would get a new body someday. In this it’s the same thing except Johnny lives too.

I am really glad CDPR stuck it out and gave it their best in the end. The structure and story was there from the beginning but they nearly fucked it up with the launch. Great to have this game be a comeback story rather than a cautionary tale, it is more than deserved, especially considering all of the awesome Art/Lore and story people involved really put their hearts and souls into this.

V was supposed to die, she died so many times to the point that it is comical, so you need to realize the body needs to be treated well, how much more can the body take. And V has already achieved what makes her the greatest, went out with a Blaze o glory and is now a legend.

they literally could have the means to save both johnny and v at least in both body and "engram". Just before V death make us a an engram like johnny, take the relic, do reverse egineering at arasaka or with songbird for example. Make two relics, one empty and the the other with V engram, take some fellow that you dont really care about or is to be executed. preferably a corpo they die like flies and usually have healthy bodies, put the relic with V on johnny, and make him almost die, then the relic will kick in and rewrite johnny's body, previously V's, into V's again like in the game, when almost the entire body is reprogrammed to be V's property put johnny in the other empty relic as an engram and put him in that fellow that was just waiting to die, like if he was to die at least he can be useful, and arasaka, songbird or even the usa are in debt to V like it or not, there is gotta be someone who fits the criteria to be the new vessel for johnny. So the new relic with jonny will do the same to this fellow and in a couple of weeks johnny will have a body of its own. its really messed up i know, but considering the amount of bodies the city accumulates ina couple of hours its just a waste. Even if we give our body away or keep it in both "good ending" both johnny and V are engram like it or not. this way they can have a full life

During the mission chippin' in (i think that was the name) when you visit johnny's graveyard after getting his pistol and car back, you gotta select certain dialogue options and once you are in the final mission where you gotta make a choice in the balcony, pick the option "rogue and you should go" and when johnny asks if you are sure then wait 5 minutes irl time... Johnny will say: "hard to pick which friend is gonna die right? We should do this alone" and go solo to arasaka tower

This is the ending cutscene after playing one of the final missions. The one I placed before this cutscene is named „don’t fear the reaper“. It’s the „secret“ ending, which is why Saul and rogue are both alive. Just google cyberpunk secret ending, or don’t fear the reaper to see how you can trigger this! Note: to get the exact ending you are seeing here, you need to also have a high friendship or affinity rating with Johnny and give him your body at the end!

Why could the DNA change back to V's when V is back in her/his body? That is what I choose to believe. P.S what does "perhaps somewhat more" mean. I don't really think ALT's AI know what will happen. She or it has made a calculation on there current data she has but it not based in actual knowledge.

Like Hellman said, he’s both himself and Johnny at the same time. Him talking out loud at the end was the line between personalties almost disappearing as V’s body became more attuned to the engram. Given enough time, V would’ve flatlined completely and Johnny would wake up. This is highlighted by the fact that if you do the ending with Rogue, you have full health. But if you storm it as V your health is lowered. The body is just fighting the ‘V’ half.

I think otherwise. Sure, you lose your body, but the bond and character development both V and Johnny go through shows how much both care for each other now. V comes to terms with his mortality, while paying Johnny back for saving his life. Johnny turns a new leaf and leaves behind his bitter, angry, self centered self and swears to make the most of the second chance V gave him.

I think this ending is beautiful and all... but I hate it. Johnny is an especially shitty person and most of his relationships were either unhealthy or ended on bad terms. He had his life. He made choices. He died. Life is worth a damn because you only get the one. Johnny doesn't deserve a second chance at life. V giving up their body for Johnny seems wrong to me. Johnny, you're the quintessential loveable asshole... but an asshole nonetheless. Stay dead.

I'm pretty sure a good chunk of people after hearing they'll die will give up while others would cope and live out their remaining lives. So I can see and agree when V said "I'm so tired", yeah he worked all that way to fix his problem and his result is "You'll die anyways". You could also do the new ending but that is beyond fucking depressing.

This is by far the worst ending... regardless of paths. Vincent living out his life... even as short as it might be... is the better outcome. Johnny died already... he then agrees and pledges to relinquish in the motel. V letting Johnny have a second redemption betrays everything V did the entire game. The truest ending is going to FIA... that monologue between Johnny and V... is the truest ending.

Why does the truest ending have to be the ending that is a little happy? This is cyberpunk the story was never meant to be happy if you've ever read any other cyberpunk theme. Either way v dies, and honestly the FIA ending isn't that great either since most of your neural pathways are so destroyed. You're essentially operating at that point to your most basic functions as a human being and you won't be able to get anything meaningful out of life. Plus v not being able to use cyberware just makes him completely useless in the city. That ending is like a Phoenix rising from the Ash and then decides to take a bath, so he's reduced to smolder.
When you think about it, you spend the whole game worrying that V might be changed by johnnys presence, but in the end, it was V who changed Johnny. For the better even. Now johnnys is actually free of Night city. Him finally being able to leave NC seems like such a huge metaphor, I love this game.

Lmao yea, I have only played with my V looking like this and now I cannot go back even if I am doing a new playthrough because the whole game and voice just doesn’t fit to anybody else. Really great that CDPR managed to make a character this good while also giving us pretty much free reign for customisation, not a lot of games manage to do this to such a big degree.
This one ain't the worst one I've saw.. Looks like a modern rockstar child who were also into the scene.. there's plenty of what I saw of abomination especially in a tutorial on collecting some rare suit in the game. Honestly, this would be the ending I have the least regrets with if Johnny had just contacted V's friends to tell them what happened. At the very least tell them he's essentially dead to provide some closure. Hate that they just get ghosted.

I know there are better endings, but don’t fear the reaper and give body to Johnny felt honestly like a movie. Despite fighting like hell to survive, you still fail, but giving your body to Johnny instantly makes the ending way more awesome.
My favourite ending. I like the idea to give Johnny a second chance. Especially then I realised that there's no survival for V one way or another. If you try to secure yourself you probably automatically killing Johnny. Very selfish. Leaving the body to Johnny is the most human thing you can do in this nightmare Night City. And Alt is gorgeous I prefer to follow her😉 Sorry for my English.

I just finished this game yesterday and got this ending. Very few games have made me ugly cry. I’m a grown ass man and have dealt with chronic depression that has been punctuated with suicidal ideation and a couple attempts. I did exactly what you did here. I went to the well and spoke to Johnny and I got up and decided it was best to give him our body. I walked towards the light and had a breakdown while Johnny tried to stop me. When V said that he was tired, it was like I was back in that place where everything seemed utterly hopeless and fucking exhausting. I’ve been tired. So tired. And when you’re tired, every decision is labored. It’s what drove me towards suicide - to be free from the shackles that this cruel and pointless universe decided to place on me, unwillingly, in its pursuit of some twisted, fucked up cosmic justice. I cried for a good hour after the credits rolled. I’ve started a new game, and I hope to find other decisions to make as well. One of the best games I’ve ever played that’s for sure
Reading something that a stranger has written on the internet, and feeling that you have felt exactly the same as him is very strange, but it feels good. When I finished the game for the first time back in 2020 (I was lucky not to have many bugs), I noticed how something broke in me. I found the lack of hope that this video game reflects completely heartbreaking. It made me notice things that I myself was hiding, to make me feel better, and not feel like I was afraid of failure and death. A month later, my grandmother passed away, and that broken part in me grew bigger and bigger. As time has passed, thanks to my friends, family and new audiovisual media that have made me think differently (such as the writer Brandon Sanderson and his Stormlight Archive novels), my mental health has improved a lot. But recently, I have replayed cyberpunk to go into the new expansion as prepared as possible, and I have found that this game continues to leave me broken inside. Not a big hole like at the time, but a small one, which is impossible to cover. But life is like that sometimes, and you have to move forward, step by step, hoping that everything will get better. And as Johnny said at the end: "Haven't forgotten a thing. Never will" I hope that if you read this you have not only a good day, but a good life.

I've never heard Male V's delivery of this line, first time i'm hearing him crying and it hits harder than Female V's delivery imo because you never hear him be this emotional throughout the game.
I think its a good ending. But not so much a good ending for V. That being said. I really like how this ending shows that Johnny really did care for V. That it wasn't just an act with him.
It's a good ending, it's just not a particularly happy ending. Compared to the others it's one of the more hopeful conclusions. V is lost but Johnny stays and it seems like through your choices you do actually change him for the better. It's just unfortunate the other characters aren't very welcoming, but with Johnny's known history it should be expected.
Well with this ending, we just don't know. It is the least interesting for V in this game, but if they do a sequel, having a version of V beyond the blackwall is cool for so many reasons. For example, they could fold female / male v into one because gender doesn't need to be a thing beyond the blackwall. Plus then it gives us an interesting thing that's beyond to try and learn about and contact. The mysterious AI named V that disappeared beyond the blackwall. Since I doubt they would bring Keanu back, it would be an interesting way to carry V over in the next game even if it is set many years later.

There's something about Johnny genuinely caring about V that makes me tear up. I thought he was just a cynical selfish a-hole for most of my game, but in the end when he said V should call their friends before it's too late -- it suddenly put the guy in context. Like we're in the same boat (literally), fighting the same fight. Like comrades.
The nomads ending will still be the best for me (I haven’t played the DLC yet so no idea if there’s other endings). I think it has the most freedom of the endings. Also, Panam just up and threatening to kill Johnny once he takes V’s body is weirdly wholesome.

When you think about it this way. V means more to Johnny the. Johnny does to V. To V, Johnny is an intruder literally pushing him out of his own body, To Johnny, V is a savior from death. A literal second chance at life. So even after he’s made it he still talks to V as if he can hear. This game is so poetic without even trying it’s crazy

I believe there is an ending where he ends up as an homeless guy. Its a sad ending for him for sure but it gives me bit of a ease bc he isnt wishing V death or bad will but he is making him responsible where ended up. In the other ones he wishes you to rot in hell in this one he is like "Yeah you fcked my life." But also its kind of a freedom for him yeah he is homeless and poor but at least he is free from Arasaka. The "good" ending for him just doesnt exist. If you side with Arasaka he just becomes the man he was and will eventually someday forget this whole thing forget about V and what he/she did for him. Dont fool yourself Johnny is right Takemura might like you but he would sacrifice you in an instant if he can return to his old life and get revenge for Saburo. Its a shame really.

This ending is quite something else. At the end you realize Johnny has a lot of guilt within himself, he blames himself for what happened to Alt and tries so damn hard to help V cause he's the one person he can still save. So when he realizes V in fact cannot be saved it really hits him. He actually misses V and feels bad for the fact that he kinda stole V's identity in this ending. And maybe he even misses his friend, cause V is the one person who gets him and knows him better than anyone. And maybe that's why this is actually the good ending for everyone. Johnny gets a second chance and V accomplishes his goal in someway, escaping death. And at the end, the story of Johnny Silverhand ends, with him finally finding what eluded him all this life, Peace.

Not sure if the model is just wonky, but to me it seem like Johnny is holding back tears during that last handshake He even holds V for a second longer before finally accepting and letting him go with Alt
What indicates that this kind of a bad ending is the message from Misty with her tarot cards. She clearly tells that Vs fate is worse then even death. So in my mind when V crosses that bridge she/he becomes part of Alt similar to every other Mikoshi soul and is forced to do her bidding. We all know that Alt wants Mikoshi gone but what then? Her motives were always kinda shady. For me this ending is like Devil 2.0 you give up yourself to Alt and she can do whatever she wants with you. Of course she says going with her is smarter that way you help her in her bidding and her basically saying "Well what you gonna do anyway in your body you dead anyway?" is more proof in my eyes. Being a slave to an AI? nah thanks. I rather die in the most painful way then be stuck in Cyberspace doing someones bidding. Alt is still a big question mark.
It’s an interesting perspective. Awesome how many different people have a completely different opinion about these outcomes and there really isn’t one that everybody agrees on. Just shows how nuanced the writing is in these areas. Gotta love cdprs story department. Big fan of them since they managed to incorporate the Witcher games into an already existing universe to a degree that I have not seen before in any other media when it comes to books.
My interpretation: She thought she was reading it for V, in which case it would be bad, but she was actually reading it for Johnny. She interpreted the cards wrong imo. Hanged Man (V's decision to end his life), Magician (Johnny's continued existance is basically magic), then Star (Johnny redeems himself)

Its a good reading if you know what happened to her. The Hanged man represents the sacrifice V did. And the Star represents hope. Misty doesn't know V is dead so to her perspective, shes not in a good spot. From our perspective it represents the sacrifice she made and new life beyond her physical body
After doing the don't fear the reaper ending, I wasn't originally gonna give Johnny my body, but after Alt finished her talk I just felt like it was the right thing to do. V is a dead man on borrowed time and there's no way I believed Panam's "contacts" or whatever were going to be any real help. This way, the body wont go to waste, V moves on into a digital afterlife and Johnny can finally have his second chance to live.
I think this is the best ending for The Sun ending in any case. Path of Glory and the lunar mission feels empty and leaves on a big cliffhanger compared to the others, not to mention V would be yet again working with a megacorp due to Mr. Blue Eyes hinted at being a AI controlled Night Corp agent.
I don't like V going down the corpo path like Rogue did.

Hope and inspiration, perhaps, in the sense that the light could be a future to reach for? Or does it represent something that will never be within reach? As someone who's familiar with general tarot meanings and possible interpretations, it irks a little that they seem to have intentionally picked cards that _do_ fit V's actions in the context of this ending, but chosen a completely different interpretation of what happened to him, unrelated to the cards. It's like whoever picked the cards out knew what they were saying, but someone completely different actually wrote Misty's dialogue. Ah well.

A copy of a man in another man’s body… he gets to live… but what exactly does that mean when your body and soul are both not yours… Johnny definitely has it just as rough as V, whether he is “alive” or not. This game is the deepest game ever and easily the best.

It's interesting how different the tarot reading for this ending is compared to the star. So much more ominous. This is such a somber ending, hell it seems like Johnny didn't even really like it much it seems.

Funny that you mention that because I’ve also thought about this exact thing. If this was a movie, I can totally see this ending being told through the eyes of Panam instead of V/johnny like the rest of the story is told. This would add a ton of mystery around the answer if V is still himself or if he is Johnny, or if V never really was himself anymore since „coming back from the dead“ and having Johnny in his mind in the first place. It’s great to see someone else think about this!

Cyberpunk is a great game and this video showcases that perfectly. But f**k me If I let someone else take over my body. One month or six or even more, I'm staying here 'til it gives up.
My headcanon ending is also the space one, where V becomes a huge player and legend just to go for the Hail Mary with Mr. Blue eyes. If Cyberpunk were a movie though, I think this ending in the video would definitely be the right choice. Honorable mention is the PL ending (which is awesome if you haven’t played it yet!)

I’m torn between this and leaving it all behind with Panam, I play a cold and calculated V who at the end of the day works towards helping others rather than himself (sound like polar opposite traits I know). I’m wondering if I should either have him do his final good deed and give Johnny a second chance, or for Panam by staying with her until the end, don’t know what I should do but this ending seems like the most fulfilling.

Happiest ending would be leaving Night City with the 6 months left but now that ending no longer makes sense thanks to phantom liberty and V having no good reason to reject being cured.

Johnny got a second chance… V couldn’t have survived in her own body unlike Johnny, but at least she is now alive in cyberspace… maybe in the future when we have tech to recreate bodies like altered carbon, we can always be reincarnated. I’d say this is as good as the arasaka ending if not better. In the arasaka ending v was uploaded to cyberspace with the hope she would get a new body someday. In this it’s the same thing except Johnny lives too.

I am really glad CDPR stuck it out and gave it their best in the end. The structure and story was there from the beginning but they nearly fucked it up with the launch. Great to have this game be a comeback story rather than a cautionary tale, it is more than deserved, especially considering all of the awesome Art/Lore and story people involved really put their hearts and souls into this.
I'm glad there's at least one person doing a Temperance ending with Judy having closure by leaving. Always messed up seeing people upload the one where she is scared and confused because she didn't leave.

In my first game, i hated jhonny, so, i chose arasaka, after panam, and finally, when i see all options and all options was sure dead for v, and also hours behaving like shit with jhonny, finally i got something fantastic, a apology from jhonny, he reconozig their mistakes, and in that moment i need give a oportunity, so, i chose give my body to jhonny, i was happy to know that he really changed
V was supposed to die, she died so many times to the point that it is comical, so you need to realize the body needs to be treated well, how much more can the body take. And V has already achieved what makes her the greatest, went out with a Blaze o glory and is now a legend.
they literally could have the means to save both johnny and v at least in both body and "engram". Just before V death make us a an engram like johnny, take the relic, do reverse egineering at arasaka or with songbird for example. Make two relics, one empty and the the other with V engram, take some fellow that you dont really care about or is to be executed. preferably a corpo they die like flies and usually have healthy bodies, put the relic with V on johnny, and make him almost die, then the relic will kick in and rewrite johnny's body, previously V's, into V's again like in the game, when almost the entire body is reprogrammed to be V's property put johnny in the other empty relic as an engram and put him in that fellow that was just waiting to die, like if he was to die at least he can be useful, and arasaka, songbird or even the usa are in debt to V like it or not, there is gotta be someone who fits the criteria to be the new vessel for johnny. So the new relic with jonny will do the same to this fellow and in a couple of weeks johnny will have a body of its own. its really messed up i know, but considering the amount of bodies the city accumulates ina couple of hours its just a waste. Even if we give our body away or keep it in both "good ending" both johnny and V are engram like it or not. this way they can have a full life

During the mission chippin' in (i think that was the name) when you visit johnny's graveyard after getting his pistol and car back, you gotta select certain dialogue options and once you are in the final mission where you gotta make a choice in the balcony, pick the option "rogue and you should go" and when johnny asks if you are sure then wait 5 minutes irl time... Johnny will say: "hard to pick which friend is gonna die right? We should do this alone" and go solo to arasaka tower

What mission is this called?
This is the ending cutscene after playing one of the final missions. The one I placed before this cutscene is named „don’t fear the reaper“. It’s the „secret“ ending, which is why Saul and rogue are both alive. Just google cyberpunk secret ending, or don’t fear the reaper to see how you can trigger this! Note: to get the exact ending you are seeing here, you need to also have a high friendship or affinity rating with Johnny and give him your body at the end!

Why could the DNA change back to V's when V is back in her/his body? That is what I choose to believe. P.S what does "perhaps somewhat more" mean. I don't really think ALT's AI know what will happen. She or it has made a calculation on there current data she has but it not based in actual knowledge.
It works if you think of the DNA change as a strong form of terminal cancer. It has progressed too far and no known procedure can fix it (Unless you get help from beyond the blackwall)

I don't get It, V was already turning into johnny slowly as explained by Hellman and towards the end where V just repeats johnnies words "stretch your noodle." It is to say V is already johnny
Like Hellman said, he’s both himself and Johnny at the same time. Him talking out loud at the end was the line between personalties almost disappearing as V’s body became more attuned to the engram. Given enough time, V would’ve flatlined completely and Johnny would wake up. This is highlighted by the fact that if you do the ending with Rogue, you have full health. But if you storm it as V your health is lowered. The body is just fighting the ‘V’ half.

Honestly the second worse ending you could get. You go through everything and in the end, throw away the very thing you fought long and hard to keep.
I think otherwise. Sure, you lose your body, but the bond and character development both V and Johnny go through shows how much both care for each other now. V comes to terms with his mortality, while paying Johnny back for saving his life. Johnny turns a new leaf and leaves behind his bitter, angry, self centered self and swears to make the most of the second chance V gave him.
I mean yea if you was a complete asshole to johnny then yea this is thee worst. But saying this is worst cause you thrown everything away is false and inaccurate cause you did all this to try and survive key word "TRY" there was no guarantee you was going to live and if you dont do tower, suicide or devil ending the other 3 give you the tarot card judgement which is where your case just becomes argument becomes irrelevant cause your hard word did pay off. The judgemental tarot card is basically choice you made all that effort to get given the choice to what happens to V or johnny. And really was you expecting a happy ending? Ending SoMi’s suffering seeing her so content in death finally being able to rest, then sitting with the monk trying to find inner peace to come to terms with my fate. Deciding to go out in a blaze of glory raiding Saka tower ALONE becoming the Legendary Solo of the Afterlife like my best choomba Jackie always dreamed of for us. I think this ending is beautiful and all... but I hate it. Johnny is an especially shitty person and most of his relationships were either unhealthy or ended on bad terms. He had his life. He made choices. He died. Life is worth a damn because you only get the one. Johnny doesn't deserve a second chance at life. V giving up their body for Johnny seems wrong to me. Johnny, you're the quintessential loveable asshole... but an asshole nonetheless. Stay dead.
True but then again V will die eventually, I'm pretty sure Alt says he only has a couple months tops. I'm pretty sure a good chunk of people after hearing they'll die will give up while others would cope and live out their remaining lives. So I can see and agree when V said "I'm so tired", yeah he worked all that way to fix his problem and his result is "You'll die anyways". You could also do the new ending but that is beyond fucking depressing.

This is by far the worst ending... regardless of paths. Vincent living out his life... even as short as it might be... is the better outcome. Johnny died already... he then agrees and pledges to relinquish in the motel. V letting Johnny have a second redemption betrays everything V did the entire game. The truest ending is going to FIA... that monologue between Johnny and V... is the truest ending.
Why does the truest ending have to be the ending that is a little happy? This is cyberpunk the story was never meant to be happy if you've ever read any other cyberpunk theme. Either way v dies, and honestly the FIA ending isn't that great either since most of your neural pathways are so destroyed. You're essentially operating at that point to your most basic functions as a human being and you won't be able to get anything meaningful out of life. Plus v not being able to use cyberware just makes him completely useless in the city. That ending is like a Phoenix rising from the Ash and then decides to take a bath, so he's reduced to smolder.
