Why are there so many people commenting his English? How good the person is as a manager is more than his command of English, isn't it? He could be a great leader- empathetic, consultative, analytic, having amazing work ethic etc. Some people are just jealous of what this fellow is doing.
I thought that was Singlish.
He look like a nice person
So true. He seems to know what he’s doing - not something you can say for all managers. So what if his enunciation isn’t the best?
Lies again? Evil Angel USD SGD
nah, we dont know him to judge that. we only know his language skills
Dunno why the comments section so harsh on this guy. His expertise is in food, marketing, consumer preferences etc. Not politician or businessman or salesman. Calm your tits down jokers, and cut him some slack. Fine he cocked up the pronunciation of Ikea but overall he did a pretty decent run-thru here.
I'm Swedish and this does look really good! Do have to say though that the Falukorv is quite a bit off. While Falukorv does come in rings like seen in the video, the real Falukorv is a lot thicker with a diameter of some 5-7cm range and it's usually served sliced and the slices are pan fried, alternatively the whole Falukorv is cooked in the oven after making some partial slices into it and stuffing the gaps with cheese and sometimes it's covered with mustard as well. Another way to serve it is by making Korv stroganoff where the Falukorv is sliced and then the slices are cut into smaller pieces (think short fries almost) and cooked in a rich, creamy sauce that is flavored with ketchup and has onion in it. Korv stroganoff is ideally served with rice (usually long grain, not the very fragant kinds like jasmin or basmati) or mashed potatoes. Just pan fried slices of Falukorv goes well with creamy potatoes seasoned with parsley (basically small pieces of potatoes in a white sauce), some types of pasta, mashed potatoes or with fried eggs and fried chunks of leftover potatoes (the latter combination makes a good breakfast as well, but can be eaten anytime of the day)
Well he is asking a presumably Singaporean to try if it is traditional enough 😅 so... probably she was not swedish enough to notice as you have valuably fed back.
Hats off to all those old grannies making Swedish meatballs for IKEA restaurants 🫡
you think grandmas are making meatballs for IKEA? LOL. they are requesting factories to make the balls uneven to have that ‘traditional’ look.

@@DieThinkingyou must be fun at parties. Do you not know what sarcasm means? Read between the lines..
matching the food to the picture - this is what I like best from the Food Manager
and if you work in the food industry...you know that's a lie LOL
Aeson is such a hands-on leader! kudos for the ability to explain all of the products well. Will definitely try that mushroom soon.
I personally love eating at the food court whenever I go to IKEA in the USA, it looks like I have to add this to my list of things to do when I visit Singapore in the future! I like how serious the manager is about the elements of the food (visuals, texture, smell, taste, etc.), you can tell he's very passionate about his job.
KZhead is scary. I just mentioned about going to dine in Ikea Jurong and this vid appeared top on my recommended list.
I seriously wonder how they always recommend videos on topics that I just thought about but have not told anyone else. It’s crazy
From your search history. And don’t forget your phone is listening too, there is mic.
Always happen to me even when my boss and customer are talking about a certain topic. It'll come out in my yt feed.
You need to block camera cause it reads iris
It’s a video uploaded just 5 hours ago. Obviously it appears on everyone’s recommended list. Don’t think too much. My hubby also just watched it..
😊🙏 Noticing the many older , more experienced & dutiful kitchen crew in this IKEA eatery , no wonder IKEA foods are always well prepared & served! 🙏 Thank You So Much IKEA for giving customers your good services & foods over the decades & to CNA for the sneak peek into IKEA's kitchen! 🌷🌿🌏💜🕊🇸🇪
As someone who goes to IKEA Tampines wayyy too often, just for the food. This was a fun watch! :D
Love from Sweden fellow Singaporeans
i miss the older version of the salmon where it has those vegetable "cakes" and this tangy white sauce ;-;
that whole tasting menu looks incredible…keep it up 🥳
I searched up May OF days ago, and i got this as my recommendation. Wow. Just wow.
What do you mean by OF lol
I want to know more about the freshness of the ingredients. Like how long they keep the frozen ingredients and so on.
Always love IKEA foods! Hats off!!
Chicken Wings and chocolate cake are yummy! Great that they vary the menu to local taste.
Malaysia Ikea got generous portion of delicious tender beef ribs at a great price
I love his insight that the food should look like the picture. I like the meatballs and my sister bought 1 kg of it. I would cook it in tomato sauce or eat it with jam and gravy. The mushroom soup is an acquired taste.
She is so cute and very excited
Creep
I see it, I love it and I grab it
Chicken wing magic literally when its round!
I wish the hawker centres are as clean as ikea kitchen.
Keep dreaming 😂
Will you accept that they charge similar prices then?
3:26 to match the photos to the dishes
Love those round chicken wings!
🤣🤣🤣 1:16 - 1:29
I love dipping the fries into meatball sauce.
Best Chicken Wings in town. Never fails
wah syiok, got foot long sausage coming soon!
its nice he calls his colleagues co-workers
It's IKEA's lingo. IKEA calls its employees "co-workers".
@@Kyle-kc8cw thanks. i didnt know about this corporate culture
mmmm...not just the meatballs but the freshly cooked chicken wings :) Now, if only people can get a seat when they go there to eat.
The menu is damn confusing. The menu keep flashing around on the screen. Cannot stay still. Cannot see whats in their menu
I've enjoyed food from IKEA for many years! My only gripe is , the servers at JEM. Always grumpy and rude. Doesn't matter if it's peak or off peak timings. Recommend to go other outlets except JEM
IKEA food is bang for your buck. JEM outlet has food servers who are on another level of service. Rolled eyes.. “speak up! I can’t hear you!” are just a few amazing experiences you can expect. Have fun! 🙂↕️
So, that falukor is not how real falukorv really looks like. But I bet it is still yummy.
ooo they have fried mushrooms now!
Is it bad to eat food cooked/ heat up in plastic? Eg sauces in plastic
Yes
Depends, microwave plastic pots are ok to use
If you are not worried about getting cancer, then go ahead...
@jogo798 Still not recommended. Plastic and heat don’t mix well. You never know what chemicals will be leached into the food.
Nowadays, many eateries don’t prepare food from scratch, they use food that are actually pre-cooked in their central kitchens or suppliers. These vacuum sealer plastic bags ( sous vide style) are use to keep them frozen and then supplied to all restaurants and eateries. Many F&B outlets use this method to thaw and defrost these prepared bags of sauces and food using hot water. They claim they are using food grade plastic sous vide style so it’s safe to eat. I saw with my own eyes some eateries even steam the whole packet of Siew Mai and prawn dumplings still intact in their plastic packaging. 🙄 I have reservations about eating food prepared this way and surely boycott them.
my dream job af
same 😅
I thought IKEA themselves came out to say it's pronounced "ee-kay-ya"?
Yes, I just commented: Please learn the proper pronunciation of “Ikea” before making the video. It’s “ee-keh-uh”. That’s the common way most Singaporeans say it anyway & it’s the correct Swedish pronunciation. You’re introducing a Swedish brand, obviously you need to pronounce it the Swedish way. Who says “Eye-keh-uh” 🙄🙄. Yes, the British say it but that’s not correct Swedish pronunciation. “Eye-kay-uh” sounds so wannabe and grating.
@@ABC-ed8cg ya... Though I think it's the Americans who pronounces it Aye-kee-uh.
Why IKEA Singapore no rice dishes!
Because u never send email to ikea hq.
Uhhh, why is the manager even pronouncing his own company wrong? Isn't ee-kay-uh instead of iKea like iPhone?
Really love the variety of dishes available but just hope for the veggie sides to be cooked more thoroughly or just change out the water more often, every time it tastes so much like there are chemical residues... Maybe not everyone cares but I really don't like wasting food!
the manager sound vaguely similar to steven he 😅
Good healthy food for diet...
Not though… they’re all fried stuff 😅
@@GerakanLelakiSejati wrong
All that was missing was him spoon feeding her each bite. Jeez let the woman take what she wants.
Ikea needs to serve pork sausage. Last time they had and suddenly disappeared and replace by chicken, nothing like pork sausage as European food and its traditional
cos' it is not halai?
they need to bring back pork in their meatballs too…maybe have a halal and non halal section
@@matreen427 halal dont work like that
@@matreen427 no point to have 2 kitchens and twice the staff. This is not SAF canteen.
It’s funny most Singaporeans pronounce ikea starting with an E which is what Swedish people do while he did the American and English way of starting with an I….
Can IKEA bring back the delicious chicken cutlet with salted egg sauce??? If today is my last day on earth, this will be my final meal ❤
i pronounce it as "ee · kay · uh" all my life.
Is this a paid or sponsored episode?
MUSHROOMMMM!!!!
175 workers for 3 outlets??? So much?
You also have to consider how many shifts they're working, if they're full time or part time, and how many positions in the kitchen you don't see.
Sadly, the taste of their köttbullar (meatballs) isn't as good as when I first tried in 2007 at the Tampines outlet. I have eaten a few times during the period in between then and now, and the balls seem to have gotten bland and plain as time went on, sometimes gamey.
Pasta sauce is too sweet
The standard of IKEA food is deteoriating in comparison to the past. The cleanliness is also quite disappointing these days.
Beautiful dog food
Decades old machine still say state of the art..wow
Maybe there is no other models and those machines are proven to be the latest even though it might be 20+ years old
We use the same equipment in most corporate kitchen cafes, they're work horses. New tech is nice but they need to be reliable for on time service.
Regional Manager should know its pronounced YEE KYUH not AYE KEE YUH. Confirmed with my swedish colleague 😂
I was wondering the same when he introduced the 3 stores. 😮
🤣😂🤣. Nice accent by the manager. .👌💯. 😋😋
The whole interview is so awkward.
how one says ikea doesn't matter yall it's not that deep🙏
its ur own company u u r the manager, no?
What oil is use to fry the wings? Seed canola (engine)oil?? Short cut to heart attack😅😅😅😅
Engine oil.
shes cute !
They are all process food from a box
People commented on dude's English and here I'm curious as to why the presenter girl didn't properly use the safety coat, showing her chest like that...
6:42
As a Swedish I can say that that’s not a falukorv sausage 😡
then what is it called?
Haha, no wonder he said he THINKS it is a falukorv sausage haha.
The Msia Ikea meatballs in Penang are terrible, totally different taste vs KL and Thailand
probably cos it's halal, & it's made with pure beef. Leaving out the pork eliminates the tenderness
Not so affordable
It's so exciting to eat these food that will KILL YOU! Carry on!
The food quality at IKEA cafe is terrible now. I cannot understand the continued popularity. Coffee is just plain bad, shame to call it coffee. The salmon is less than half the size it used to be. Everything tastes artificial and highly processed. A shadow of what it used to be.
Colleagues not co workers
but bro cnt even pronounce ikea official pronounciation aaa
It's really not that deep
photo match the food? have u seen your salmon? 🤣
Why can’t the host and guest speak according to the dialogue given?
I'm not a fan of their food except for the smoked salmon appetiser and dill mustard sauce
Aint that affordable
IKEA NASI LEMAK ROTI PRATA..CHICKEN RICE🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
he never mentioned what the ingredients of the meatballs are only the shape? which means..............................................food that tastes heavenly but is actually bolsht and unhealthy ingredients
Personally, this feature does not dive deep enough to be informative. Seems more like a publicity stunt
Hey Mr. Manager, don't conform to wrong. Just say EE-KAY-UH like you usually do.
They all talk with that heavy Asian Indian accent in their country
the manager kinda sus
The texture is salty
4:09 “I THINK it’s a traditional Swedish..” Aeson Ong, the food manager at IKEA Singapore, is Malaysian or China. Because he can't communicate adequately in English. ❤
“Aeson Ong […] is China” LMAO glass houses bro, don’t be saying his English is crap when yours clearly is as well
Warming up sauces in plastic. Oh gosh.
Having seen what was offered at IKEA HK, have to say the SG current offerings are boring. Even the famous chicken wings are no longer great. Hopefully your new menu will improve the offerings.
Guy have a machine face..too much processed machine foods
Tried IKEA meatballs. IMO it sucks. Just like western food in general. For someone who are accustomed to herbs and spices, the meatballs are very bland. Meatball themselves tasted fine but put everything together, they're pretty lackluster. They have something, a dollop of raspberry sauce(?) added which is akin to acar buah which is fine if you think of it that way but the gravy itself is already sweet so it became sickly sweet. Maybe iuf you're younger and/or dont care too much about sugar/diabetes then its fine. The karipap / curry puff on the other hand is great. Big portion, definitely worth the money (if you buy in set).
Both of them pronouncing Ikea wrongly kills me. 😂
Interestingly, it seems that the correct pronunciation of Ikea is ee-kay-uh, which would mean they were right. I never knew this until today either.
@@Hyvexx they pronounced it as I-Kay-uh, so it's wrong, isn't it!
I cant understand a word he says!
Certainly you’re having some hearing problem 😢😢
There's subtitle. Do you not know how to read?
yee kea yee kea not I-KEA
His English is really so bad that it’s so infectious even the host started speaking bad English. “This one” “chocolate one”. 😂
They all talked with that Indian accent in their country. In times you will recognize them.
Quite unhealthy actually..hahah
ahy-kea??
Yee-kia would be the correct pronunciation
They’re wannabe and try-hard. They don’t even bother to look up the proper Swedish pronunciation before making the video. Most Singaporeans say “ee-kay-uh” anyway which is the correct way. They trying too hard to be different.
@@ABC-ed8cgfunny how he pronounces it wrongly. Will he get fired?😂
Not round interesting meh?
Hmm the ikea food not delicious as last time
Frankly the choice of dessert is less and the standard of the muslim food has drop tremendously at the tampines outlet😅
Fx Sweden
Interesting topic but prosaic female presenter with poor gastronomic knowledge was a major letdown.
Bain marie with plastic bags altogeher ?? It's surprising me company like Ikea with good values feeding consumer with microplastic and plastic toxic chemical.
Tampines cold wings. Tiny meatballs. The only reason food court surviving is due to Free Parking.
Free coffee or tea as well, where some abusers use the cup to collect free juice instead lol...
