  • Refreshing to see a house that isn't a giant bathroom filled mansion where presenters gush over how "clever" it is when all they have done is spend astronomical amounts of money. This is a place I can see myself living very happily in spite of being overlooked by the very close neighbors; clever design that provides everything you need in a small footprint and most importantly, provides a connection to nature (instead of filling the entire block with house; another trend I am really tired of seeing in Australia)

  • What a cozy, nature-oriented little house. Just imagine sleeping in there at night, under the rain. Heaven.

  • What a great little house, I can see why it's won awards. It's good to see the architect took advantage of the springs to make flowing ponds, normally brute force engineering would have been applied. I love the garden integration with the house, you don't see that a lot in Perth.

  • Perhaps the best architectural video I’ve seen on KZhead. Great visuals, good unobtrusive music, fantastic interviews

  • In Berlin, Germany, there exist a few appartments with outside toilets and I was living in one appartment like that. In my opinion it's the best concept I've ever met. Great to see that people think alike. Thanks for sharing and gratulations to your wonderful home.

  • Very efficient and peacful design. I love the mix of all the elements : concrete, wood, glaces, metal. A house should be a space where we can live and be ourselves, not an end result for photographes for a magazine. And, I am 120 % for outdoor bathrooms. It sounds ridiculous and perhaps gross for most people, but having those moment outside, hearing birds and insects and having breeze washing over your face, while giving back to nature what she gave us, is a very special moment. I guess only people that live or lived in the country side would understand.😄

  • I love everything about this story and property, especially the sense of blending indoor/outdoor, the exterior leu, and plant chandelier. Having spent 28 years in Western Oregon (moved away in 2015), I agree with you about the changing trends and think you made the better decision to set roots in Australia; wonderful climate and lifestyle.
