  • Johanna Larsson winning in Båstad 2015 is like the biggest thing that has happened to women's tennis in my country Sweden this century. I think that says it all about the state of our women's tennis.

    • In the 'Race' standings - the points accumulated in the calendar year thus far - Muchy's the #1 Czech player, at #5 in those rankings. If she can consolidate her RG performance in the two remaining Slams and the 1k tourneys in particular, she'll not only be the top Czech player at year's end... she's got a very serious shot at making the Year-End Championships.

  • Tomlijanovic is not even Australian (same goes for Gavrilova/Saville). Once upon a time we had Ash Barty, Sam Stosur and Alicia Molik (who won Olympic bronze at Athens) at the top of the game. Now we have no one😔

    • It’s really surprising to see such stagnation in some GS countries. At least with Aus we can say Ash was amazing and she retired prematurely so they couldn’t pump another talent in time. But GB is not in a good place currently either apart from the Raducanu shocking title which no one saw coming. They also import a lot of talent like Konta and Norrie on the Men’s side.

    • @@Aurora_1407hey keep calling her a cheater because she’s done some hindrance here and there. especially involving waiving hands at the net, sometimes breaking the servers rhythm in key moments when she lifts her racket as they prepare to serve and asks for more time etc. It’s all relatively small stuff.

    • @@gabrielametodieva8360 She lifts her racket because of spectators who are walking in the background and/or yelling. Americans are notorious for this, because they treat tennis like it's baseball, basketball or football match where you can yell, bring beer and pizza in, enter or quit in the middle of the game etc. If audience behaves properly, Iga doesn't lift her racket, because there's no need. So people in the stands should be questioned first, not the best returner on tour.
