I feel like giving up:( you always encourage me! I felt like giving up because I still couldn’t turn but now I have realised it takes time! Thanks!
i started skating yesterday and out of all the youtubers ive watched you always make the clearest and most understandable, concise videos! thank you so much ❤❤❤
Really excellent tips, I know I'll rewatch this one a lot. Thank you!!! You're such a great teacher!
Before I even watch this video, I would like to thank you so much for making this video and I appreciate the helpful tips!

Nice tips, but I did notice something missing from the Lemon 🍋 Drops segment. And it’s something that I picked up on watching Blade Warriors (the inline skating version of American Gladiators). The show would have segments with skating tips, and one that really stood out for me at the time was this one: Don’t bring your toes together, because they’ll crash, and so will you. I’m not sure what the odds of that happening are while attempting the Lemon Drops, but if you ask me, it’s definitely something to keep in mind.
Ooooh thanks for adding this!!! Yes!!! You don’t want to do that and trip yourself!! Thanks for sharing this tip with me I’ll use it next time ☺️🙏🫶
@@PollySkatesthanks for the helpful videos. Would you recommend inline skating for a 3mile commute from a bus stop to a destination? Or before doing any skating do I need to check first for pebbles, rocks, debris and flat surface? I’m asking because I see a lot of YT videos where people just take off skating without checking the surface they will be on….. thanks!
@@t.terrell7037 3 miles sounds like a fun skate but make sure you know how to stop if you need to quickly. Be safe!
@@t.terrell7037I walk my routes before I skate on them and check the surface condition. Basically, an on-foot inspection. It’s really helpful, especially for a potential new route or route addition.
Just started skating and your videos have been so helpful! 💜💙💚
Hey Coach Polly, how do you stop without using the stopper at the back of your skates?
Hopefully the kiddos & beginners will wear protective gear.
All in all, excellent instruction… just wish you would have explained how to stop @ 3:19
I just stumbled on your video accidentally. I was rollerblading when i was in high school. So, i went to an arcade and i thought to myself that i know how to skate, but wasn't. I think i need to wake and train my body again. Do you recommend those "hard shoes" rollerblades? Thank you
I never did duck walks, my big feet never really let me do that easily. I do something my friend calls reverse L's, my toes are pointed out slightly but when I push I'm pushing pretty much completely to the side. I am still working on shifting my weight to the toe or heel, which is probably why I can't duck walk well. I have been told that I have the form of a marathon skater so perhaps that's what I am good at but I can't turn aside from A turns and I have awful endurance(mainly from not having a decent rollerblade yet).
How do I get to the duck walk in the first place? When I stand the wheels start spinning right away and I can’t even stand in place
I think she’s addressed that in earlier videos. Unfortunately she doesn’t have a playlist for beginners.
@@sunshine3914 thank you!
