  • This case is one of the rare instances where corporations and studios set aside their greed and manipulation and genuinely wanted to honor an actor, a man, in good taste.

    @antoniomaldonado8876@antoniomaldonado88762 жыл бұрын
    • I think this is just one of the very rare cases where corporate interest happened to align with public interest. I mean, them handling Paul’s death in a tasteful and powerful manner helped catapult the film to $1.5B international sales. Corporations never do anything out of the kindness of their heart; they do things for the profit motive, because that’s the core purpose of a corporation- to profit. And in this case, the conclusion happened to be a positive one

    • @@basedboi3956 while you are right, like I said the corporations could have sensationalized it. Put him in a fiery car crash in the move to stir up controversy and get people to watch just to criticize & all that.

    • @@PatrickCc i dont think a fiery car crash would have gone over too well with the general public, especially if too obviously sensationalized. That would piss a lot of people off and cause boycotts. The movie we got was a very safe, profitable conclusion for them (not that it wasnt well done).

Her name is Meadow, and she's been growing into a beautiful, respectful lady and I guarantee Paul Walker is so proud of her. I feel bad she has to deal with that level of grief in life, especially at her young age at the time. Apparently Vin Diesel walked her down the aisle for Paul when she got married a year ago or so. Recently in the past 12 months I've really found what I've always loved and was passionate about (being an artist and getting my tattoo aprenticeship) It was always there but I was just lost and now I feel like for once in my life I got that feeling that this is what I was meant to do all along. Took a lot of soul searching and destruction but here I am and I wouldn't trade all the bullshit I went through for anything because it's brought me to the exact place I need to be. • I was getting my braces tightened on constellation dr in Santa Clarita when this happened. Paul was somewhat of a local hero in our city. They were pulling out of the always evolving shop parking lot and took a loop around constellation (which all of us car guys do out there. It’s our local burn spot.) I’ll never forget hearing the thud of the crash while sitting in the ortho chair, and leaving my appointment to pull up on a Porsche on fire being put out, and ambulances pulling away. I didn’t want to believe it was our hometown hero, but the always evolving team and charity event members made it abundantly clear. Rest In Peace Paul. Cody is filling in your shoes and together with Sean lee is making a huge difference in our community in your honor. That’s all. /end rant

  • It’s a melancholic song for sure. Coming up on three years now, my best friend for a good 5 years left. He didn’t die, he just left. I haven’t spoken to him in a year as of writing this, and we’ve totally gone down different paths in life. He didn’t tell me he had left until after he already did, and that next day I just listened to this song all day. It helped me move on, helped me remember all the ‘good times.’ Which I think is this songs best quality, being able to make you remember the happy times

I just wanted to mention you left out one detail that I think would’ve been good to add. • Paul Walker was my favorite actor. I had never "connected" with another actor like that before... Until Paul. And, until the franchise came out, I didn't know anything about cars or the cast, in general, really. However, after watching the first movie, I was hooked - on cars and on Paul, himself. He was so handsome. Those beautiful blue eyes and blonde hair with a touch of curl to it. I loved Paul and, the night that he died, I started bawling my eyes out; as if, I had just lost my best friend. And, in a sense, I still feel like I have - even till this day. He was a great man, friend, father, and actor. God Bless Paul Walker. Until we meet again someday...

  • It's a rather perfectly written song, and a beautiful way to remember those hearts you miss. The ones you wish you had just a little more time with so you could say all those things you never got a chance to. Mainly "goodbye" and "we will see you again". All involved created a fitting anthem for those left behind. 🖤 Great video my man. You do excellent work and I appreciate your always fair approach. I like that you don't inject a bunch of your own personal opinions, just presenting a balanced story. Keep it up.

  • The song also holds something dear to me, not just paul walker. My late best friend passed away over 4 years ago, and he and i were huge gear heads. I had an 86 IROC Z28, while he had an 88 IROC Z28.. and we met cause his IROC. I was gonna buy it, but it fell through.. so he got it. I remember messaging him on myspace (when it was popular) saying i was gonna buy that car, and ever since we became fast friends. We constantly worked on our cars together, drove around and did stupid things in them together, went too car events, raced one another, etc. So much he and i did! Most of my best memories are with him. We definitely had our ups and downs, as we loved each other very much and we're both stubborn as hell. But in the end we always made up. So when i got the news he passed away.. it broke me. I was in my car, and i had to pull over cause i couldn't stop crying. I managed to find a Hot Wheels 3rd gen Camaro that's black with red interior, literally exactly like his. Put his funeral card with the car inside of a protector and have it next to my bed. He will always be by my side till the day i die. And i hope that one day, if there is an afterlife, that him and i can into our 3rd gen Camaros again. God i fucking miss him so much. So the song and its music video hits on me another level.. that's for sure lol
