62 Impala SS 327, 4 speed, bucket seats. Black with red interior.
The 400 and 455 HO Trans Am were like bad ass slot cars
Thank you for your uploads, very enjoyable to watch, Best Wishes ❤❤❤.
Many thanks! 💖💖
@@American.legends My pleasure, Have a Super day.
My first car was a 65 GTO with a 389 3 x 2 Carb backed by a 4 speed transmission
Mine was a red 1964 Olds 442 (4spd), with the 310 hp 330 rocket engine.
My friends and l spent our teen years wearing out the grandstands at Fremont drag strip, from 1966 thru 1972, where we personally watched the evolution of factory muscle cars. And in terms of looks and performance, and in spite of Chevrolet propaganda, after their L88 Corvettes, the big dog on the block was the Buick 455 stage 2... not the SS 454
I don't believe you Don't make me get the lie detector out

The (1964 thu 1966) 442 Oldsmobile was not mentioned in the article. 15:25 The 400 cubic inch (tri-power) was very competitive.
In 1971, when my highschool friends saw that I bought my uncles red 1964 442 Olds (4spd), with the 310 hp 330 rocket engine, they called my grandmas car... One of them had a 1969 Boss 302, the other, a 1969 383 Roadrunner, both of whom, couldn't believe that l beat them 3 out 3 at Fremont drag strip.
I HAD a 1966, tri-powered, positive traction with 456, with borg warner T-`10, transmission. ran goos, souned great
ANY year Chevelle from 1964-1972 is AWESOME!! Have owned all the even years (except for '66): '64, '68, ''70, and '72. None were SS, and the '64 was a 6 cyl, but the rest were 2dr with V8's Loved them ALL!
67 Chevelle, 283 bored to 292 with 11:1 pistons and a high lift cam, hooker headers, Muncie 4 speed. SS 396 springs up front and station wagon springs in the rear. A car I should have never sold along with many others.
I agree.
Lies again? Chest Triceps Medical Certificates
@@NazriB What are you talking about?
Muito bom 👍
Why NOT the 68 Pontiac firebird 400 , I had one , WHY NOT IN THIS VIDEO!!!!! , WHY NOT !!!! .
My dad had a Dodge Coronet before I was born and he told me he never lost a race with it.
because he never won a race either.
1962 chevy with 409 ci
1962 Ford 406 cid: Tri power 11.4:1 - 405 horsepower and 448 lb⋅ft
What happened to the mid 60s Oldsmobile (tri power)?
I would love to feel the427 A body shuffle .
What about the 425hp 396cu. "65 Impala SS💪💪
that was the fake gross rating......actual was only 350 net horsepower
Nobody is talking about 396
Good reason they weren’t that good
69 olds cutlass 442
1st car 1967 Mustang 289 hipo, 4spd, aftermarket ac, got for 16th birthday Dec 1969. I have no idea top speed, I do know it would do 125mph. Loved that car
What you lying for now come on you aint gotta do that
@mohamed, no lie, had 70k on odemeter, paid $1k for(Dad gave me half), sold it for 600 in 74 & tried to buy it back at least 10x in 80s. To this day the man I sold it to still has it
@mohammed, if you are refering to front end float at high speed, put weight inside front qtr, panels over tires, that helped a lot
@ muhammedsuarez, since you started by calling me a liar, got to ask, are you muslim or Catholic? I'm mostly Scot/Irish decent born/raised in Alabama, retired to Panama in 2015, wife of 38yrs from here. Know no one with Islamic 1st name here, so figure you are 1 confused, angry man & a troll as well. Hope you enjoyed your ramadan, now F O
What technically: i.e. era, ci. GVW, length, seat config etc. Is the definition of 'Muscle-Car? It seems, by contemporary stds. to be an heavily watered-down definition? Love the Cars, just do not understand the parameters of the stated nomenclature.
THE 1970 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE LS-6 454 WASN'T SOLD UNTIL 1970. WHY WOULD YOU SNEAK THAT IN ...?
It actually came out in Sept.of 1969. That was when the next year models came available.
Rules lmfao
There is nothing on the road today to rival most of these incredible automobiles. The beautiful styling stopped mid 70's. After that some safety crazed lunatic ruined the elegance and style by making everything look the same. As for the reduction in horsepower and size?...... lunacy.
as an oldy i would agree, if i won a million dollars i would not buy any pile of crap made today even though some of the sports cars look nice but toooooooo much electronic crap for me. give me the 60s , 70s and 80s stuff thank you
BULLSHIT..those old cars were crap.....weak brakes, lousy suspensions, gas guzzlers, poor build quality, rusted bodies, and the horsepower ratings were OVER RATED by 20% on average. A 1970 426 was advertised at 425 hp gross but is only 350 hp net....a 2024 Dodge 5.7 puts out more at 375 net. And the newer cars are far more reliable.
the Chevelle SS is the best muscle car ever built ❤❤
Oh come on 😂! I guess you never had a a ride in a 440 Cuda, 4speed 😊!
@@mikewatts1450 honestly i don't, i may change my mind if I'm lucky enough to get a ride in one of those 🥲🤣, but for now the Chevelle ss is my top 1 🔥
Ford did not have much to do with this i was there
69 olds 442
1970 chevelle ? 1980s cars only
,..........1960's
Here we go again with the "see eye" Big Block.😢 Fyi, a 1970 is not a 60's muscle car. Terrible clickbait video just looking for hits. Shameful.
Clickbait…show one thing in thumbnail but never showed it in video
All these older cars were crap....horsepower was over rated by 20%, and the had weak brakes, lousy handling, garbage build quality, and fell apart. The newer muscle cars are better in every way.
Horsepower was mostly under rated for insurance purposes
And by the way new cars are ugly and much more expensive
@@ChrisT-sr4ft Bullshit..no engine was ever under rated for insurance or at all. They were OVER RATED by 20% using the fake GROSS system that was banned after the 1971 model year. You have no idea what you are talking about. 440-6 was rated at 390 but was only 325 NET.
