Hey @kevintalbotrc May I please have a slash 4x4 brushless, thx
Didn't she you were rather tiny Kev? That's the story I heard. hehe
Kev on the mini monster trucks like the Granite Grom or Hyper go, shoe goo a ping pong ball on the roof of the body in the middle a quarter inch behind the windshield, It will always land on it's feet. You can also remove it by ripping it off. The shoe goo is not permanent if you don't sand the body before gluing the ping pong ball. Or you can make it permanent by sanding the body to rouging it up before gluing the ping pong ball on. I do it to all my mini trucks, Won't work on the mini street cars or buggies. Only the mini off-road trucks. Its like an automatic hand of God, lol.
Raminator yeah!!
kev im from costa rica please an X.MAXX
It's great little car for kids and cheap. Great to start your life to be more outdoor with your friends. Having fun with RC
A bit expensive, but I am certain it will be durable. I just got back into land based RCs. Arrma has been my introduction to modern stuff. So far both my Big Rock and Senton have been a blast. I love taking these things to the park. A nice custom hard bodied 1/10th scale crawler is probably my next project.
Just picked one up myself. I think these will catch on with newcomers and those who already have the RC bug. Definitely well made.
Your really informative on the cars you show thank u for that been looking at the 1/16 scale for a couple weeks thank u.
I've watched your shows for a long time and you never fail us its always exciting very involved and you care about the people watching even if they haven't subscribed. Every rc you own is very cool but what makes the show the best is knowing that you will take the time to help others make money you rock keep Making videos
nice vid! good job on the review on both bashers. i hope that your move to the isle of man is going well for you and can't wait to see the first vid from your new home! cheers and see you in the next one!
I really love my Grom, rips a skatepark pretty well and threw some paddle tires on from the HyperGo H14 and did pretty well on the beach too. VERY worth the $130 it is in the US. I was pretty disappointed with the HyperGo, the ESC throttle lag is very annoying and I'm surprised noone mentions it in their reviews
Get yourself the FTX tracer just as good if not better than the grom
in this video the model is MJX 16208, it costs much less than GROM, and if you get on sale, it’s almost free... there are never such discounts on arrma) the difference in motors (speeds) is obvious. and in this MXJ model that there is no problem with esc. excellent throttle response. before purchasing, look at reviews or read reviews and do not mislead people) peace
this is one of the best RC cars i have ever bought. I recently got the 1/18 Grom Typhon and it too is fantastic. These 1/18th arrma trucks are Fantastic.
They should have done the brushed for $100, and a brushless for $130. They'd have sold them both like hotcakes.
Perfect for the little kids. my daughter is 4 and carrying around her 1/10 granite and the radio is a bit of a struggle. I'll probably get two of these for her and my son who is 2. Won't break when they crash, aren't too fast, and cheap enough that they won't have to share.
@@Blaquer17I got my daughter (6) a Traxxas Teton last Xmas would of liked one of these much more. The Teton feels half hobby grade half New Bright BUT all that really matters to her is it cane in pink😅
For a mini with a brushed motor it’s actually pretty speedy. Way faster than the stock latraxes. I’d like to see a brushless one more tho
Some of your rigs are just simply amazing 🎉
On some of the hyper go's, if you hit the power button on the esc five times it gives you a hidden fast mode.
I definitely love the way you test Vehicles, Kevin.
We drive RC cars too, and we’ve been loving them
ill take any one of them .. your awesome man .. i got back into rc because of you ... doin so saved my me and my dads relationship.. thank you!
That’s awesome dude!
Since your on KZhead I follow ALL your videos you are NUMBER 1 IN RC IN MY EYES..I will be in heaven to have one of your machines
again a very nice video i very like you, the rc cars and all the energy you have your the best yt'er no lie
Great review. The MJX is bloody fast on 3S (60km/h). Necessary? No, but a lot of fun…
Thanks for the entertainment Kev
I would love to See Kevin turn a Skateboard into a Big RC.
He did turn a snowboard into one. It's called the sausage.
He already did it with a snowboard really would be no difference
Baboon
Snowboard was better lol the old sausage!!!
Painting my 74.2 Jconcepts body right now, can't wait till they ship my kit man, you inspired me to build a race 1/10th, doin the Spencer Rivkin Team Associated build.
I got two Groms last week for my 4yo lad and I. I think they're brilliant little things and ideal for kiddos. They're small and slow enough that they won't do any major damage to anyone or anything. Obviously never going to be like a 1/10th or bigger but I think there's definitely a fun factor they bring because they are so small. Plus it means you can just rip around in the garden or around the house too!
I was just about to say that: you can run em just about anywhere with not a lot of space. the thing about the hyper go? you can turn down the accelerator to "normal" speed and when they get better, crank in up to loony speed.
I bought two 1/10 Rival MT10 for my 4 year old daughter and myself. I did that because I turn hers down to slow to medium and she can grow with it so to speak. Thanks to kevin for the testing that led to a confident purchase.
I like the Arrma outcast 8s and done the raffle
Thank you for your videos I love your content it's both entertaining and educational i love the decked out outcast would love to win it but no doubt much rather have a primal rc it's my dream thanks again please keep the videos coming
This was a entertaining video. With the release of Grom and Gorgon at more reasonable prices I think they are trying to compete with the cars like the Hyper Go and other brands. In the U.S. this passed weekend my local Hobbytown sold the Grom for $110. Horizon was not selling them on their website. They were supposedly trying to support the local hobby stores. The advantage of the small r/c cars is their size. You can put everything in a backpack and go to the spot you like to run. This was another excellent video.
I agree, I love my mini rock crawlers for this, I also have the 1/8 (real size 1/7) crawler but it is not great for me to jump on my e-bike to take to my local spots
Awesome channel keep on bashin 👍👍👍
You don’t see a lot of people doing the drop test first we love your process Kev💯😂✌️..
I drop my RC cars
Bought one of these for my daughters first RC 🤟
I was at my local Hobby Shop and they had one of these out on the counter, I said “you know Kev made those look fun mind if I try it out?” Couple rips up and down the parking lot and I was shocked by how zippy it was.. my daughter and I now have a couple Granite Groms wrapped up under the Christmas tree lol.
love your videos kev and hi from western australia
Kev, I'm pretty sure there's a "turbo" button on the Hypergo. Look for a red button on the ESC and press it either three or five times. When I bought my HyperGo I thought it was super slow. Turns out the turbo mode was off.
You said to ask which RC I would like, and that would be anything that is actually a tenth scale. Thank Kevin! 🙂
He always makes me smile when I'm sad
Great Vid , good Honest Opinions👍
Am new to this channel and this hobby.. Loving the content.
Does the arms controller have a way to turn down the speed? Looking at getting one for my 2 1/2 year old son. I’m looking at the armma over the hyper go because I know it would be easier to get parts here in America for it.
Rock on Kevin living the dream!!!!...dragster....dragster....250mph plus!!!!!...hope to see soon!!!...love your motivations...!!! Christmas every day!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
First time commenting on any video love your content. From Kentucky USA I'm 50 getting back into the hobby i want an x maxx because of your video on how durable they are.
Enjoy the hobby, I'm 39 and still going at it. Have fun!
Just getting back into it at 44 after not being in the RC scene since I owned my Nitro Traxxas (Xmax, Tmax?) Just got my 1st electric basher (Arrma BR 3S) and also got into scale crawling after decades of real life wheeling and building.
Kev if I put 4100kv and 3s in a granite grom with metal diff do you still think the diff would survive it
I’d be happy with any Kev over the moon intact 👏
I love the tamiya mini back in the mid 90s... awesome litlle thing, if u have that i would want that one.. 😊❤
Love your stuff kev
to unlock the Hyper Go to full power on 3s you have to press the switch 5 times until you hear 3 beeps - then it should easily be 30mph+
I have a question, hope u(Kevin) can answer it: at the moment I have a 1st gen traxxas e-revo 1/10 awd with a single 2s lipo battery. I want to upgrade to something faster and have a budget of like 500 euro. What car do you recommend?
I’m impressed with both of them! RC has come so far. Just in like the last ten years!
agree i started out with a nikko black cat rc buggy 8AA batteries 4 houer to full charge and between 10-15 minutes of runtime. after that i started with nitro kyosho inferno 1:10 and its been a couple more cars after that, now im racing xray xb2 and bashing a traxxas slash 2wd love em both for their komplete opposite characteristics and slash i could run for 30-60 minutes on a 6600mah 2s lipo.
I agree, crawlers and the hobbywing setup are great to be able to tune the drag etc
Everything has changed tremendously in last 10 years
@@extec101Same here had it as kid in the good ol '80's..
@@dieseldabz7104 you had a black cat?
XRT or the outcast 8s would be my dream truck 🥲 just got me an my 8 year old into the hobby!! Skate parks, home made ramps around the house etc. so much fun an also teaches her machine skills 😅😊
Ain't 🅝🅞 way dropping $1K on a RC
THE UDR I LOVE THAT RC FR !!!!
You have to press the power button on the esc 5 times on the hyper go while its powered on to engage 3s . They go 40mph
hey kevin, whats are your thoughts on hypergo as a company. Ive always though of them as not a real brand nd more of a toy company, whats your opinion
I hope Arrma comes out with a Granite Grom brushless version with either a slipper clutch or center diff. I think the direct drive will be too hard on the drivetrain with brushless power.
Kev, can you please review the team magic E5HX 3S version please Kev please
I have purchased 5 of these hyper go trucks lol . Great budget truck
Kev are the boost granites any good
we have a cheep rc but its realy smashed up the hyper go looks realy nice and lively so it would be nice to have
I just recently purchased 2 big rocks for my son and I. I wanted the senton tho . Love the vids kev !
Love the arrma!!
Awesome video ! I'd like that Arma Outcast 8s EXB, thx Kev
nice car 💛💛
Good Morning from USA love watching your vids while I build a drone lol
I want that it would do great in my small yard 👍🏽
I clicked buy straight after watching this. It's the perfect backyard basher for me.
Hello kev 👋 do you know what Steven's granite has installed for the metal drive shafts please? I've looked for age's and found nothing. I would really appreciate any info at all. Best regards.
Hi Kevin , can i use xt90 plugs with ec5 s?
Enjoy your content. I like 8s outcast. Keep up your good work Enjoy.
I have a high trail edition trx4 k5 blazer.... a new rustler 4x4 bls-2 ..... two trx4m's one high trail the other a regular bronco and the truck I play with the most is my little arrma granite grom!! Lil truck is fast...handles great and is tough as nails!! My next purchase will either be a full size granite or a big rock 3s 💯. I'm a big traxxas guy but damn the arrma trucks are badass 😎
I have one look on the back uv the controller there is a switch to make it go fast
Kev if you read this what size screw do you put in the xmaxx steering post hole
nice kev cant wait till the lmt mini drops and you do a video on it the thing looks pretty good but your the true test if itll hold up or not
Hi I’m wondering where the best place to get aftermarket parts for a traxxas trx4m
That's what he said pretty small but dependable❤❤❤
This is awesome!!
I've never driven one of these. They look so much fun! Any of them would be nice to start.
The granites body release design reminds me of my xmod Hummers body release mechanism
Another awesome arrma product
I’m getting on to rc cars any suggestions that are cheap on American dollars but also fast
I love this guy!!!
I really like the Arrma TALION it looks really cool and is like you said between buggy and truck known as truggy. This looks like it will be really strong and fast therefore I would love to own one.
he is the best man to ever live in rc
Love it dude! I don't ant one so bad!
That Outkast 8s is a beast
Slash drag car are awesome
I love your videos ❤❤😊
Got most hyped for the Xrt action 😅
love the content
There Should have definitely been a brushless version especially for that price 💰
I bought 1 last month. It's a cool truck. Servo saver a little weak.
Love this video
0:19 "Grom stems from the word grommet, a term generally used to denote the lowest ranking members of a naval ship. This term was then borrowed by the Australian surf community to describe young, skilled surfers, employed as both a term of respect and a way to poke a little fun at the younger guys and girls in the water."
The local R/C shop must love seeing you walk in .
Love it. Who else takes brand new things and drops them from the second story! I have around 300 rc models but I don't have a raminator!! That's the one I don't have! That's Arma is a bit expensive for a brushed version. I'm sure it's good quality but come on!! Brushed! What?
outcast 8s xmaxx ..thanks for the vids kevo
I’ve had both my groms 30 feet in the air back to back on every skatepark sesh and I haven’t broken a thing, I’ve had both trucks about 3 months
Kev I know you don’t do drones but I’m learning to take old drones apart and build them to sell for thousands thx to you
Think more laws need to be set in place with drones. Too many people use them for wrong reasons like spying or worse. I'd bet 10% actually use accordingly for stuff like professional photographer. Large drones that can have things attached like weapons should be banned in the US..
@@dieseldabz7104 personally I do videography but I agree
Ello governor!!! I plan on buying a Grom!!!
My son and I love our Arrma 3s Big Rock and Senton but I did not see any Arrmas on the wall. That being said would love love love a 6s Arrma or the XMaxx 🙏 Cheers mate.
Are you planning on getting the rustler 4x4 ultimate bud
I love how the small cars can use the skate park like a big stunt park! The big fast cars are almost so big the track is too small. That's a awesome car for $130~ 😊
Why is the road covered in diesel? Does that happen in the uk
Is it possible to buy ur Lamborghini Svj?(I live in the Netherlands, idk if it infects shipping)
