@marcusserrao the US made whaling illegal in 1973. Only 4 countries refused to sign onto a UN agreement In 1986, Japan, Russia, Peru and Norway. What continues to kill whales, mainly Sperm, in the US seems to be huge wind farms placed off the East Coast. 140 since 2016.
I have seen a lot of rescue videos but this honestly is one of the best. A whale has a very hard time maneuvering to the sides and its almost impossible for him to back up and make sharp turns to either side. Congrats to these fisherman who were able to pull the big fella out enough to be able to turn around. They should be rewarded for saving sych a majestic animal.

The fact the whale calmed down and allowed them to help guide it out was an amazing sight. What was even more amazing and even more heart warning was the people who swam frantically to intercept the whale from getting stuck again.
Or it could even have been exhausted or in shock. But either way, those people did some fantastic teamwork to help the whale.
