After injuring his arm, Ricky Jackson heads straight to the urgent care clinic in Mango Park. The receptionist, Lisa, is on the phone and doesn't notice when Ricky walks in. As the pain gets worse, Ricky pleads with Lisa to please see a doctor, but she just dismisses his concerns and tells him to keep waiting. Finally, as the pain becomes unbearable, Ricky demands to see the doctor. Then when Dr. Williams finds out that his receptionist has kept this young man waiting for no good reason, he fires her on the spot.

As a black person I've been denied for health care and other stuff because I'm a black woman who has suffered from really serious health problems and issues i was denied medical care by a racist nurse because I was suffering from a slight heart attack and nosebleed and heavy internal bleeding inside my stomach if it wasn't for the general doctor who owns the hospital saved me from certain death if it wasn't for that general doctor who saved me I would be in severe pain and suffering even more and from suffering from a broken heart as well

Every minute of the patient must be handled immediately. Their life is on the line. Happy that the doctor fired Lisa. What she did was negligence

I would have told the lady "WATCH IT!" When it came to two people doing different calls, the doctor was going by the rules by only using his calls for business use only and talking only to patients or family members of patients. What the receptionist did was absolutely wrong. Just about 80 or 90% businesses prohibit using company time for making personal phone calls to socialize while on the clock.

This nurse at the hospital was busy chatting with her friend when this nice decent Afro-American chap came in, showing her his hurt wrists. Her indifference will hurt him, she didn't think he could afford it based off his melanin!! The Doctor was terrible, he wouldn't want to examine him as well and telling Crazy Karen Lisa that he will be heading home. And not curbing the racist behavior was the last straw, the police will be involved!! Lisa was lying through her teeth, he said to bring in the next patient and that was him, she's in for a sacking, Dr Williams was really kind to Ricky !!

Outcome: Lisa tried to apply at a different clinic, but her boss told every clinic of what she did, so no clinic would hire her. She was working at a local supermarket stocking shelves, but was later fired for faulsly accusing a customer of stealing. She's currently unemployed and is really struggling
In the United States , a doctor can not turn away patients who need necessary medical attention based off of their ability to pay.

Imagine if she was in his shoes not everyone deserves to be treated like garbage what she did was messed up and foul you don't treat anyone especially their ethnicity or culture or sexuality or gender or anything else people should be treated with respect and dignity not people like that recipient who made that man wait three hours because of his broken wrist and was on the phone talking to her friend and letting her business out while on the job I'm glad she got fired not only was a terrible person but was on the phone the entire time and didn't even tell the doctor that another patient was there needing medical assistance

Lisa is incredibly dumb. Considering she clearly didn't like the look of the guy, surely it would have made more sense to just send him in so he would leave quicker instead of keep asking her when he can go in. You'd think after fifteen minutes, Ricky would be questioning who this other patient was that Lisa claimed was seeing the doctor, I don't think I'd last that long without getting agitated, emergency or not. To say she was very busy wouldn't excuse the fact that Ricky was clearly there. Not the best liar.

Speaking of which, I want to see both Bob Sharkey and Verne Alexandre as Sheriff Johnston and Capt. Porter, respectively. For a future Soul Snack episode, with the Sheriff's stepson, Ray and Capt. Porter's niece, Jessica hanging out with a couple of friends in a local park, preparing for a little pick-up basketball, when they come across a locked car with 2 defenseless puppies. Jessica calls her uncle, who's on a scouting mission with Sheriff Johnston and informs him of the emergency. Sheriff tells Ray to get the pups' attention, while Jessica breaks out the car's glass with her crowbar to get the pups out of there and to safety. Ray and Jessica's 2 friends, after the car's window is smashed, get the 2 pups out of the car and into shade with 2 bowls of ice cold drinking water. Capt. Porter tells the young ones to continue feeding the pups the water and he and Sheriff Johnston will be at their location, shortly. The battleax owner of the car covets about her car windows being smashed in the emergency animal rescue, just as both Sheriff Johnston and Capt. Porter arrive. The young ones fill out reports of the circumstances behind the rescue of the defenseless pups. The Sheriff informs the young ones that an animal resource officer is coming to check on the pups, who are still being fed ice cold drinking water. Capt. Porter tells the battleax owner of the car she's not getting the pups back- they've been rescued. Sheriff Johnston addresses the lady about endangering the 2 defenseless pups, which is a felony, afterwards, Capt. Porter arrests the battleax on 2 counts of felony animal cruelty and reads her her rights, as she's handcuffed. Shheriff Johnston asks Capt. Porter if Sgt. Mike Garrett is available to take their animal cruelty suspect to jail. He tells the Sheriff that Sgt. Garrett is actually on special assignment but when he sees Sgt. Eva Berada arrive. Sgt. Berada tells both Sheriff Johnston and Capt. Porter that as a pet owner, the thought of anyone endangering defenseless puppies makes her sick. As the handcuffed battleax is being placed in the back of her police cruiser, Sgt. Berada tells her, "Peddle it, sister- save it for the judge" as the suspect covets about her car window being smashed out and losing the pups to animal rescue. As Sgt. Berada takes the suspect to jail, the animal resource officer arrives to help treat the pups. Jessica tells her uncle she knows 2 of her younger cousins who can use the companionship of the 2 puppies. Capt. Porter tells Jessica they'll make the proper arrangements, after the pups are treated. Ray asks his stepfather about the car, which had to have the windows busted out to rescue the pups. Sheriff Johnston explains the car will be towed to impound and Capt. Porter also explains the reports of the young ones will explain the circumstances behind the pups' rescue. The Sheriff tells his stepson he and Capt. Porter have some more scouting to do and he'll see him back at the house, later. Sounds like a potential Soul Snack episode with Christine Chavers as the battleax, Daryl Meyer as the animal resource officer and I really miss her on Soul Snack, Florencia Barletta as Sgt. Berada, along with Maxwell Worship as Ray, Jessica Lemure as Jessica and 2 more newcomers!!!
