JEGA 'RDOMNAI STANS UNITE 🤝
Have you heard of Sali Nyon?
Jega enabled his active camo, grabbed a phantom and flew to reach. He is now making bacon with Noble 6
oh btw Locke is alive a grunt of something confirms it
@@subliminal2621 nooooooooooooooooooooooooo
for me his body didnt cloak....i had fun beating him around and looking at his armor.
The fact that you see the body of EVERY banished boss aside from Jega is a pretty clear indicator that he lives
I hope he fights the arbiter some way because he’s pretty much the opposite of him
Dude that’d be dope
FYI, I saw his dead body cloaked on the ground, and it actually uncloaked for me (may have been a bug).
@@effortlessfury, There is still room for a retcon so Arbiter can have an antagonist. The Swords vs the Banished.
His dead body is there tho.. Xperia witnessed a glitch where the body dissapeared for asome reason lol.
My theory: Jega IS alive and he watched you fight Escharum... And also treat him with respect in his last moment which might come back in the expansions of how Jega views the Chief.
Imagine him being like Ridley from Metroid, clawing back to life with more robot parts every time
I really like this 🔥
But if he did watch the fight why did he let Esharum lose and ultimately die when they are close friends?
@@jivan5843 I believe jega was only playing the role of a close friend and didn't really care too much about escharum as jega is only a mercenary but anything is possible🤷♂️
@@chromtastic2092 Esharum clearly wanted it to be his last fight and wanted it to be a proper one + he was clearly dying so didn't have much time left and wanted to die a warrior's death. At any time after Chief entered the house could he and Jega killed him, but they didn't and instead let Chief Do his thing. Jega would have had to be a pretty shitty friend to interupt their fight and deny Esharum his dying wish.
A little bit about Hyperius and Tevarus that I thought was hilarious and I'm a little sad you missed is when The Weapon says "you made that look easy!" after the battle and Chief says "it was." Two imposing Spartan killers disrespected by Chief. It was amazing.
I did two runs of this game and the first time round I had a bad strategy for this bit and it got me killed repeatedly, after I finally beat them the Weapon said "That wasn't easy, was it? I don't think we can keep this up chief. What if he sends more?" Chief just says "Let him." Second run through I learned from my mistake and melted both of them in under a minute "They call that a Spartan killer? You made it look easy" "It was." Damn it felt so cathartic to hear that dialogue instead after the two or so hours I spent slamming my head against a wall the first time round
@@paulrudd1483 Agreed. That damn Chopper...
Sad that they were kinda wasted potential. No cutscene, no build up to them aside from one line, and that’s it.
Those two kicked my ass for the longest time first running it on Legendary. Eventually managed to put enough of a dent of him by running off and snagging refills of a battle rifle 4 times over during the fight just to have enough to get through their giant health bars. Pop your head out for just a little too long and you'd be quickly 2-3 shotted either by Chopper shots or sniper blasts once he dismounted, it was nasty.
@@MisterJohnDoe I grapple hijacked that thing the second I saw it lol
Something about a grunt, being "notorious for acts of widespread destruction" puts a hilarious picture in my mind.
Nah its totally believable. Give any grunt 2 plasma grenades and a fuel-rod gun. They wreck.

Infinite has hugely improved Halo’s boss quality. They’re genuinely fun to fight.
Agreed! Finally a Halo game with good boss fights.
While frustrating at times, they are fun. Definitely the best Halo bosses in the series

You know, I like how the brutes with shields are very obvious due to how much they shine. With how rough and “poorly” made their shields look, they feel primitive and very fitting for brutes compared the the elite’s shields
An aspect of "fine, if I have to wear this"
The halo 3 brutes would’ve been much better if they were like this. I never liked the power armor. Doesn’t make sense that you would wear armor that just disintegrates after taking too much damage
They arent poorly made or primitive because they're visible. They're just utilizing different energies and tech that makes them visible most likely very similar to jackal shields.
@@revolverocelot1380 I know they actually aren’t and wasn’t saying that they are. I was saying that’s how they look and feel. Making them more fitting for the brutes rather than unnoticeable and smooth shields
@@Can_O_Peas I dont know if that means they feel primitive either. Like if you said the skewer(I hate that weapon) was primitive feeling and looking I'd agree but I dont know if visible shields makes sense being considered primitive. I'd actually think visible shields are more advanced since the energy around it is so active and strong yet sustainable.
I was honestly shocked with how much I liked the Banished and Escherum, at first I thought they were kind of just a throw away enemy force brought back just so we have enemies but I really loved how distinct they were from the covenant, and Escherum as well being very different from Tartarus where Tart like the Covenant were blinded by ideological glory, the Banished and Escherum have this Barbarian style of living and even in some cases look out for one another
I still view them as a low budget placeholder faction😅 also the way they were always talking mad shit and in the end they were no challenge for the Chief makes them look like even bigger clowns like they already were imo
@@JJumper8888 you mean everyone ever who faced chief? You cant base their power simply off fighting chief. Hes supposed to win
@@baitrun8559 also how the banished got their asses handed in Halo wars 2. I mean yeah like you said you are made to win, but yet still, imo I feel like they are artificially strong. They have nothing of the might and respect the covenant had imo

@@lukez9721 I think Escharum knew that Master Chief was pretty much unstoppable, but he acted like he wasn’t so his troops would feel inspired to take on a legend. He might’ve believed that showing weakness would not make the Chief fear him or motivate him to fight harder. He even comes to terms with the inevitable in his final audio log.
@@Dr.Oofers And he also wanted a legendary fight with chief.
I want to know more about the hardest boss in the game. The brute chieftain with the gravity hammer from the Harbinger fight.

You can grab the cindershots off of one of the racks and then use the grappling hook to get on top of one of the obelisks around the center of the arena. Use can then shoot him from an area where he cannot reach you. (The obelisks are around the perimeter of where the Harbinger goes to heal.)
Jega is one of the best written side antagonists I've seen
His visual design is top notch as well. We're so used to seeing elites as these honor bound knights essentially and here's this blood thirsty, twisted serial killer who wants nothing but the thrill of the chase.
Hello mr everywhere
And they managed it with pure visual design and only a handful of spoken lines. Everything you need to know about him is in his appearance.
He has like 7 lines
Is this a meme? I can’t remember if he even spoke
Chak ‘Lok and Bassus are personally 2 of my favorites and their intros and personalities are amazing. Chak Is a polite gentleman and that music that plays when he swings down hits different. Bassus Is just a badass grandpa who is also quite polite besides when he is trying to kill you.
I don’t think Bassus is polite. He seems more of the “Dumb brute” stereotype, his line always cracks me up. “Humans not so tough I think... Soft insiiiideee” as he swings down the G-hammer lmfao. Although I dunno if I’d call Chak “polite” either, I’d call him respectful, elites culture values honor, and clearly he sees that the Chief is worthy of some level of respect due to his unparalleled achievements.
The Elite Elite Chak 'Lok, i love him
@@echo1180 yeah but at the same time he seems like a polite grandpa when he doesn’t wanna see your soft insides. At least the things he says after he kills you does. I just killed him on legendary the other day but had my ass thoroughly handed to me before hand so I’ve heard quite a few of them lol.
@@fentposer I honestly didn’t like Bassus’ boss fight too much, liked the character definitely but after an hour of him killing me I just was pissed unfortunately
@@snakeguy8646 his boss fight was just terrifying for me. His crackhead jumps and his 100 mph running sent chills down my spine
It’s nice to see some these having some pretty neat background for them. Who else finds it funny that both the grunt targets were said to be dangerous, and to be pretty brutal.
And they take..... one shot.... to kill..... very dangerous indeed.
Lmao Briglard was meant to be this super vicious evil Grunt and I killed him in like 2 shots
Shame really. They should’ve gave him energy shields like they did with bipbap, and a better weapon. Same thing happens with when fighting the jackal sniper target, just head shot him and its over.
@@HiddenXperia sir, this is gonna be irrelevant but I wanted to say something. I thought that esherum was sick with a flood spore and that at the end an infection form was gonna infect him. It kinda sucked that, that didn't happen. I wonder what the illness was. Do you have any ideas? I think everybody's overlooking this. Or maybe it's actually nothing. I remember I ran some of the bosses over with a ghost

The idea that the Lekgolo are evolving to have more individual tendencies I find absolutely fascinating! I hope it's explored more in the future
Colony is the smartest of the hunters so far ever met
The Lekgolo are not a monolith. Nothing about this is new lore. The exact same thing happened during The Great Schism when the Covenant split into Loyalists and Separatists. The Lekgolo Colonies could not come to a single decision and thus they fractured too.
@@AFlyingCoconut nobody said it was new. What was said is that this should be explored more, because it is interesting
@@AFlyingCoconut that's not the same, is the fact that lekgolos ar starting to be more one beeing instead of colonies of worms, they are developing personalities as if the worms are just the body but the mind is one
I think it can be implied that Escharum was suffering from lung cancer - The laboured breathing, the cough, and the fact that Jega can "smell" it, similar to how dogs can smell certain cancers

i like how halo reach armor's for the elites are set in halo infinite and no longer look like brutish creatures with weird body proportions, back to theyre honourable and awesome selves!
Agreed. The standard elites look like h2A elites but standing straight up like the elites from halo CE. And there are some mixes of reach and 4/5 armors added to elites. Imo they look much better than reach elites. Not sure if those elites were just much bigger or it looked like that because we were a spartan 3
@@OPTSXFilosoofis They were much bigger proportionally to better distinguish them from the friendly dinosoars we'd known. The goal with Reach was to emphasize their more alien features, since they were once again all-powerful monsters hell bent on destroying Humanity. This is why they have pitch black eyes, and more accentuated teeth too.
It looks better than reach. The major helmet is ass though
The Jega fight was so fun like genuinely cool character, menacing and good encounter design
Actually suprised and caught me off guard because he kept repositioning. Good fight
The game literally turns into a horror game for like, 10 seconds when he shows up. You know you're a badass when you singlehandedly change the game's genre momentarily.
I tried it like, how many, about 17 tries.
I played through the game on legendary recently, and my dad who’s interested in the lore watched me grind through the entire thing just to see the story- we both loved the bosses of this game and the sandbox approach to fighting them made it fun.
Just a question did escherum send tremonius to the master cheif knowing he'd die almost as punishment of him questioning escherum's leadership? As escherum throughout the game seems content and expecting of the master cheif's abilities it seems clear that he was essentially sending tremonius to his deatgh bed
Probably
In Escherums eyes, dying in combat by the chiefs hand isn’t exactly a bad thing. The way he probably saw it, Tremonious got an honorable death. Not sure if it would be a “punishment” in his eyes
This actually makes a lot of sense
Def an aspect of "do it yourself if you know better"
Probably not, Tremonius just sucks at his job
Something that Halo infinite nailed was the Voice acting and dialogue performances, not only for the main cast, but for all of the enemies, including all of the voices for the Brutes, grunts and Elites, where the correct essence of each species were conveyed perfectly through their cadence and intonation, either through the grunts *Hilariously* flippant dialogue, to the _Brutes’_ Savage and fearless threats, and the _Elite’s_ elegant and noble gestures and taunting.
Chak lok very low key reminds me of the Arbiter when he was still a shipmaster. Brutal, but with tact.
I completed the campaign on Heroic on my first playthrough, gotta say I’m glad I didn’t go any higher because it took a while to knock the rust off, and the main bosses were very tough on that difficulty. But man, my battle with Escarum could not have finished any better. In his last stage where he wields the grav axe, I had the Bloodblade equipped. And as we went flying past each other trading blows; the last charge % of the blade took his last sliver of health, and deactivated the blade so I was standing there victorious and empty-handed. To me it felt like when Fal Chavamee and Haka had their mutual kill in Halo Legends. Epic.
That was quite a duel in Halo Legends
@@justicebassett968 yes it was iconic…but unlike the Arbiter’s takedown of that entire army; Wraith tanks, Hunters and all, the duel with Haka was them charging at each other 1 time, and dealing mutually fatal blows.
@@CaptainHair2 you wouldn’t believe me if I told you that happened exactly to me too!
why do people always beat the game on the highest difficulty for their first playthrough I always do easy to get the feel of the game then on my next playthrough legendary.
@@Beastman0008 Heroic was livable, I’d never start on Legendary, even in my prime. But for me, the decision came down to the fact that I’m 30 and full-time employed, so I don’t have the time to play the campaign on each difficulty. Most bang for the buck is knock it out at Heroic, get the achievements for the 3 difficulty levels, and then someday attempt Legendary, probably when co-op is patched in 😂
As regards what Adjutant Resolution does next: he actually has an interesting line of dialogue after his atonement, when he says that he was “meant to be a friend, not a replacement” to the fallen monitor, and “maybe he’ll make a friend” for himself.
The fight against the two brutes driving choppers was really fun. I fought them using a ghost that was sort of hidden to the right of the elevator
The lore for Infinite is fairly to pretty impressive, the boss fights are definitely a massive improvement. I enjoy when I get into them.
man hearing Hunters taking out two full spartan team is like a monumental achievement.
I loved the Infinite campaign and I feel that it was a proper redemption after H5. I love how much lore they put in here, and I can’t wait to get some dlc to the campaign. So many possibilities for different biome’s as we explore more of Zeta Halo. I’m curious as to how the Endless is worse than the flood… Edit: I still don’t understand how Cortana died, she could have did what she did and still escaped. I feel like that whole timeline needs a better explanation, like how did Atriox survive that but she didn’t. However maybe I’m missing something.
She definitely could have survived but she didn't want to. She felt ashamed of what she did and knew that she made the wrong choice
@@Agent38877 right on. She could have seen her copy and realized that The Chief would be better off with a fresh start, they both would knowing what they now know. Building that relationship, building trust. So I’m cool with that and the way she left when final message for John was just great. Now…about Atriox being able to survive that and not stepping in to stop Chief who could have possibly stopped their plan…👀 what’s up with that?
@@thechicagobox artiox might have not even known John was alive. The Banished thought him dead so why try and tell Artiox the Chief just tore through all their stuff?
Cortana was still locked down by the weapon also. Probably limited her options.
Hey so what do you think the weapon chose for her name? Did she pick Cortana?
Is it weird I would unironicly love a space traveling Halo RPG playing as a Sangheli post Covenant. Specifically with stealth and melee gameplay in the 3rd person
That would be cool
Something not a lot of people have noticed, the Warship from the beginning is actually called “Ghost of Gbrakkon” as stated in a recent article of Canon Fodder.
I still like how chak lok welcomes John and doesn’t call him demon like the other elites it shows despite what he wanted to do he showed chief respect shows that chak lok did his research on him
@Glirion was his intro jumping the shark? yes. was it weird that chief didn't just shoot him? yes. was it really cool? yes. The best part of HI is that the elites AREN'T super heavy blocks of metal and flesh, they can move nimbly and with speed and care as needed.
@@blackmage665 I don’t think it was jumping the shark. It makes sense he would enter so gracefully, and it also makes sense Chief would listen
@@halogod0298 If you say so, but there's no reason for chief to care about who he is facing. it's like watching someone transform in the middle of a fight. if your goal is only to win, why grant courtesy to your enemy? give them no space to breathe, anything less is impractical.

LMFAO that teabag edit while Escharum gave his opinion on Tremonius was hilarious!
Escharum deserves his own comic, the same for Blademaster, I like to know how he and Escharum met and became close friends. Also how Blade master lost his arm and piece of his mouth.
I find it funny how within 24 hours, master Chief wiped out probably a quarter of the banished forces, leadership, outposts, armories, nearly all HVTs, and an alien squid
I killed Jega on accident (wanted to kill him with my sword but accidentally finished him off with a no scope from my sniper across the arena) legit thought it glitched my game causing him to phase out of existence when I couldn’t find his body.
Same, not the sniper bit I literally ended the fight in about 10 seconds on heroic cause I grabbed a fusion coil, threw it at him and there just so happened to be two other fusion coils near him and the huge blast just deleted him. At first I thought "Hell yeah! He drops one of his swords to start phase 2!" "...." "...." "Oh no he's just dead"
Awesome, I i defeated him with a blind nade toss
Killed him with, uhhhhhhhhhhhhh i cant remember but i didn't notice that his body wasn't there
Cant wait for the dlc dude, and the halo infinite boss battles were god-tier
I hope Jega is still alive. It'd be great for Atriox to still have a Sangheili in his inner circle, and I hope that he takes over as leader of the Hand of Atriox, recruiting new Spartan killers.
I Wouldn’t be surprised if he was killed from atriox for being incompetent
I think that “Jega is still alive and he cloaked and ran away while leaving his sword behind” is the new “noble six is alive in a cave” theory Although I would love for it to be true to be honest, so fingers crossed that it’s actually true 🤞

I really loved the boss fights. They were beatable but even on Normal, still difficult enough to be an actual boss.
They were tough but fair on heroic but some were real bullshit on legendary. Bassus was fine, just use the grapple and bhop. But man that brute with the tracking M41 and hyperius/trevarus were bs. Jega is by far my favourite boss, amazing design, incredible entrance and cool lore behind him
This is the best channel I never knew I needed. Getting all the halo feels back and having a lore master to get all the backstory catch up is amazing
It's cool to see weak specied enemies like grunts and jackels have some high ranks or at least be a leader of some sects inside the banished. Would love to see more of them
Can't wait for more campaign DLC. So that we can see more lore.
Damn, how optimistic we were that 343 wouldnt fuck up for a third time in a row... oh how naive the fanbase were
They didnt fuck up lol@@Mystic_Apollo
@drazam6608 tell me you haven't witnessed the past 3 years of broken promises about DLC, cut splitscreen, lacking updates, 12 month long seasons of no content and 3 different CEO's without saying it 😂 343 fucked up, Plain and simple
@@Mystic_Apollo I mean there is splitscreen for multiplayer at least at day one.
@thatbr1t1shguy 2 years vefore release they claimed splitscreen co-op campaign would be there on release and a standard going forward... took them a whole year after release to finally say it was cancelled as they couldn't make it work in-engine... despite multiple people getting it working through their own consoles
I like how we are getting a decent amount of lore from the main campaign I like how the even show the collection of different species in the game from after activating the ring.
Dude I've been subbed for the past 9 years and I love it when you upload lore videos, you do it so well and the story.. if you wrote a Halo book I'd read it
Quick note the Hyperius Tovarus fight didn't happen at the Mortal Reverie, which is at Outpost Tremonius. The frigate just (accidentally?) has the same tag as the Reverie, FFG-525.
I really wish we didn't have to kill Escharum the first time we met him in person. It was the most emotion I've seen from a Brute in a game yet, and I absolutely loved every message Chief received from him. He was such a great character and I love how in every message you were able to feel the respect that he felt for Chief's prowess in battle, and how incredibly excited he was to put Chief's legend to the test. Both Escharum and Chief respected each other to the end, and all he wanted was to die a warrior's death to somebody who was truly worthy. Same thing with Jega, even Escharum said after the battle with Jega that he promised him "a sweeter kill, or a warrior's death" in exchange for keeping the pilot alive. This whole game seemed like all of it's villains were fighting for honor more than glory. I absolutely loved it.
chak loks cut secene is by far my favorite boss intro, so much style and grace, very short but very sweet
I’m so happy we’re getting so much halo content from you cause of the new lore we have!!! I LOVE IT
I beat the game on legendary looking at these clips just make me think how you not die in two shots lol must have been normal or easy
Was the 1v2 fight the toughest one for you because dear god that took near 2 hours for me to figure out
@@SweetPeteInTheBackSeat that one was annoying i camped in that ship with the rpg and hydra
@@SweetPeteInTheBackSeat literally the hardest one out of them all I figured out I could kill the long range guy first then I made the other guy blow up inside of his copper. I even clipped it
Funny enough, you can just jack the chopper and quickly run Tovarus over, then just deal with Hyperius, worked for me
Bro Escharum would literally just one shot me
I love all the side boss fights, my favourite fight was when I ran over BipBap with a warthog
I've spent two solid days through these holidays catching up on all your content. GOAT status. Keep it up!
I was just watching your video on the history of bosses in Halo and now this popped up!
I really hope in the dlcs we get different forms of hunter worms construcs like in Halo Wars 2.
Escharum and jega were the only bosses I struggled with, in the escharum fight I ended up spending like 80% of my time in the air using Grapple and dash
When i fought Jega he was kinda underwelming i had the most trouble with Escharum
I personally didn’t find escharum that hard
Jega is definitely still alive. He was close friends to Escharum and wanted to let him have his final fight. Also I believe Jega is the only one of the main bosses who you don’t get an achievement for killing
It's good to hear another lore explanation video after so long.
Always up for some more halo infinite
I would love to see Jega return... Maybe with some more cybernetics due to the fight with Chief.
Its channels like yours that will always keep that halo flame burning. It doesnt matter if we know every single thing youre talking ab in your videos, we are gonna watch them for 4 hours straight and still wont be bored of halo. Thank you for the extra insight and for finishing the fight
this video came out on my birthday! thanks for the present :)
I don’t think Tramoneus was begging for his life, it came across to me more like he was begging for the opportunity to avenge Atriox.
It seems that Colony is being built up. I hope to see them later on in Infinite's lifetime. Maybe with new much more dangerous versions of the beam cannons from Halo 2/3
I want to take the time to thank you for the videos I'm a very big halo fan took a break from doom eternal to play halo infinite and I started the campaign again so I could make sure I collect all the audio logs and all the skulls which your video on the location of them has been really useful so cheers. I would say though if you were able to a video on the location of all the audio logs that would be useful though I will say so far I've been doing alright finding them but anyway again thanks for all the halo lore videos they have been absolutely fantastic and really interesting to watch I really love the halo universe its just so good anything lore rich I absolutely love I mean I play warhammer 40k table top and pc games which is mostly the reason I fell in love with lore rich things basically and yeah with that keep up the good work and have a lovely Christmas and a happy new year.
Jega is my favorite elite tbh he knows how to make a entrance and the cyber arm on an elite is unheard off
Just wanna give a shoutout to Adjutant Resolution In the 2nd boss fight he assures us, this will be the last time we boss fight him, putting to rest all my Warden Eternal fears.
Considering how Chief takes out all these bosses and HVTs, it makes you wonder just how powerful Chief really is.
he bitch slapped a scorpion tank shell that got shot towards him in the lore
Let’s goooooo! Love your lore videos! I’m excited as zeta halo has so much more to talk about. Obviously even more then was in the campaign!
All of the bossess were very fun and a welcome challenge for me. Playing on heroic, I remember dying quite a lot of times to the Brute on the excavation site, his long jumps with the hammer got me good
With the reference to Colony in Myriads file I really hope later on in dlc we get to fight Hunter Goliaths and Hunter captains.
Halo's boss fights have changed so much!
Awesome video! You should do a comprehensive guide on all enemy ranks in Infinite like your Brute ranks video :)
Hella nerdy yet great video mate !! Thumbs 👍🏽👍🏽
Some of these boss fights on legendary were extremely challenging. I loved the boss fights!
Honestly Escharum felt like the big bad's second in command because they wanted to use Atriox without actually using him
I also loved this addition to the game! Ever since the war chief system in shadow of Mordor I’ve wanted more games to have a system like this! Great video, got my subscription 🍻
The Banished are proving to be my favourite faction in this franchise.
I REALLY REALLY REALLY hope Jega somehow survived his fight with Chief and will come back again And also, rip Chak ‘lok… so sad that i had to kill him… his character is awesome IMO And i find it so cool that there are kig-yar HVTs and even a female shipmistress….
Hyperius and Trevarus aren't actually the first Members of the Hand of Atriox we come across. When you find Spartan Sorrel, there are two dead brutes in Black and read armour lying amongst the dead.
I have been waiting for this type of video my guy! lol how iconic would it be if we had the arbiter, Jega AND shipmaster somehow meet in a halo game? Like Jega still with the mindset of how the covenant was and the title of the Arbiter and they meet in battle but quickly comes to an end then out comes shipmaster, only a pipe dream but even unggoy can dream XD
Noice job . Love watching your work. And the best part was that when I heard Lock is dead lol 🤣
