Time for a bit of appreciation for a player that often gets overlooked, mainly because he slots in wherever and whenever needed, Ben Osborn, never fails to give 100% whatever 'task' he has been set, and as all the pundits missed last night,, switched to right back after 65 minutes, and NEVER looked out of place or in any trouble, never panicked, just did what he always does, got on with the game.
You're right. Osborn is never the best player on the pitch. But he plays wherever we need him and he always does his job. Top class player when you consider we play his LWB, RWB, CM, CAM and he always turns up
I took the kids to the pre-season friendly against Barnsley when ozzy played his first game and after the game I told the kids to keep an eye on him. He’s a very good underrated player
@@itsme-lc5ui I think he is proof re the character, you need in a team and the character you need as a player. He isn't the most skilful, fastest etc but his attitude is second to none, best example of a team player, had to admit I feared the worst when he was switched to replace Baldock last night, but needn't have worried, he just got on with dealing with what was in front of him

@@GretatheEvilGremlin Team spirit/common cause, Osborn, Bash etc provide the foundation for McAtee, Ndiaye to do 'their bit' important as well to realise it runs deep in the squad, even with those not playing, the stuff JoC is doing behind the scenes and Brewster, looking after Jebbison when he was sent off at Wrexham, the squad is United in all senses.

As a Spurs fan I can only applaud the graft and concentration that the Sheffield lads put in, you reap what you sow in life and if so called "Big" teams feel the need to reduce the FA Cup by fielding well below par teams in the competition they end up getting exactly what they deserve. All I can say after last night's heroics is that we'd bloody well better win promotion to the Prem, because Ndiaye just announced himself to the world in explosive fashion. Expect a raft of envious clubs sniffing around when the season ends, promotion may just keep the ball - and Iliman - in our court. But even that's by no means a definite guarantee of hanging on to him - unless this is where he really wants to be.
That missed goal at 1:23 reminds me of the "chronic refusal or fear to pass your man" plaguing my team CFC.
