I came back to this after years because I watched a 'the button' video by the youtube channel cut. There was a girl who on her first turn met literally like her perfect guy who genuinely had all the same interests but she pressed the button to skip him just to see what other options there was. Eventually she got through all the guys so they brought back out the original guy and he pressed the button because guy's don't like being the backup plan.

When "brutal" truth becomes amusing we become more willing to accept that truth, even though the repercussions are as serious as a heart attack. Woman are wondering why men, more and more, are refusing to marry. Marriage sounds great when things are going good and the relationship is based on a "we're in this 50/50" approach. However, when one person decides to end it (some form of the other person is not good enough) then one of them (usually the man) gets twice the responsibility (two homes to maintain) with half the resources (one income) so the person filing for divorce (usually the woman) will maintain their current life style at the expense of the payee (who often ends up homeless). Let's not forget the payee gets to loose the children too. Anyone still wondering why men are staying single?

The dynamics of male female relationships have changed so much that marriage is becoming obsolete. It worked when the gender roles were defined and the man was the principal breadwinner but now getting marriage and having kids has become too expensive and chaotic for most people. Why bother if the likelihood is the marriage will turn sour in a few years and even end in divorce.
