Our last trip to Moab presented us with the opportunity to wheel both our 2 Door and 4 Door Jeep JL Wrangler builds. See what Cooper has to say while he compares them side by side.
I would like to see more of the 2 door. Maybe a full build breakdown?
I also would love some 2 door jl content. Everything is focused on the four door and gladiator. Just bought a 2 door jl rubicon and being new to the jeep world not much to reference.

I love the look of the tall skinnies on the 2 dr! Good looking wheels with the right offset so they don't appear dorky. I've got 235/85-16 on a 2 dr JK w/ stock wheels. Good performers but appearance wise they sit inboard too much.

Absolutely right on!! 👍 If it doesn't have the short wheel base of our WWII Willys MB, it's not a Jeep! Truer words were never spoken when someone said "There's Only One". That's the best spare tire cover for any Jeep owner of a '41 - '06 Jeep. All the rest are in name only and are suv's for women.

For a Sport 2 door not a Rubicon. What lift and tire size would you suggest. That's not too big and not a big gap. But like you said sits nice and low and safe.
That's a common question, that unfortunately doesn't always have the same answer. To give our best suggestion, we would suggest to shoot us a call so we can recommend the best components and sizing to fit your exact needs.
The 4 door are those stock differential and axles? On the JL.
During this video the front had been upgraded with RCV axle shafts, but kept the stock housings. That said, a set of larger Dynatrac axles will be installed shortly!

Have you seen an original jeep? It's always had 2 doors. The 4 door is a 4x4 school bus.

You are correct.
No it's not missing two doors. The JLU is a bastard jeep with two doors scabbed on. The JLU is a hummer made by jeep. Maybe it's a 4 wheel drive bus. As far as I'm concerned it's not a real jeep. Jeep was a short stocky go a ton of places and adapt it to what you need not a 4 wheel drive school bus that carries every thing you own so camping, over landing and other types of 4 wheeling isn't an adaptive adventure but a pull up to the park and camp in a motel type of outing. Not a fan of the 4 wheel drive school bus.
Your opinion doesn’t really matter though. You sound like a fan girl.
But for a person who is older and doesn't care for going rock crawling, likes the idea of a jeep, wants one that can go over unimproved roads, no large tires, and is the only one driving it, is a JL 2dr better in the long run if they aren't too interested in camping, or over landing? And the driver is in their 70's?
If you don't need the space that the four door gives, then the 2 door is a great choice. They aren't the easiest for getting into or out of for older people but will take you the places that you want to see.
Side steps will assist your entry/exit from the vehicle. Since you're not intending to engage in serious offroading, then the lost clearance is not an issue.
