iPhone 7 Scratch test - BEND TEST - Durability video!

Can the iPhone 7 survive the JerryRigEverything Durability tests? Like always we'll start with the scratch test from Mohs scale of hardness. With this test we can find out if Apples' new iPhone 7 has a regular glass screen, or a super scratch resistant sapphire screen. After analyzing all of the different aspects of the iphone 7, like the camera lens, the home button, the rear aluminum, and the charging port, you will have a better understanding of what the phone is made of, and how much abuse the iPhone 7 can withstand in every day life.

    • If the official specs say so, you bet your ass the sense cover is sapphire. It's much more likely this guy fucked something up with his test, picking a harder blade or whatever, than Apple having a mistake on their specs page. Why should they even go back to a non-sapphire lense? Wouldn't make any sense.

    • whyfahad They're not deigned with a specific number in mind to reach, they're designed to last long (thousands of times) and some don't last long and some last much longer, so yes unplugging and plugging will cause harm in time but it's not necessarily maximum 10,000

    • Yeah it’s to make it water resistant for 30 minutes and makes room for more. The jack doesn’t do much beside carry audio signal, so it needs its own amplifier and digital audio converter which your headphones can do. So removing it would make more sense.

It's the same phone, just 40% faster CPU, 50% faster GPU, 25% brighter screen, more screen colors using the new P3 color gamut, upgraded image signal processor, higher quality camera lens, optical stabilization for the first time on the regular size, quad camera flash rather than dual, higher resolution on front facing camera (7 megapixels now), F/1.8 aperture rather than f/2.2 (this makes a huge difference), longer battery life on both phones (from an actual larger battery), more storage space, new phone color options. Basically the same phone

  • I suddenly got recommendations of this video on KZhead so I thought to watch it. And I don’t think you need to bend it so badly that the phone gives away its own life. Neither I think that anyone could use a phone so badly. But it’s just a test where you could imagine how roughly and toughly you have to bend a phone to take away its life. Rest is history And I guess iPhone 7 is just very much durable. I’ve seen a lot of people using an iPhone 7 which still works like a beast in its performance and durability. And yes MATT BLACK IS STILL MY FAVORITE 🤩 COLOUR. ANYONE LOOKING TO BUY A USED 7 then go for Matt black.

    • Both are shit, if you're going to drop up to 150 bucks on headphones or earbuds, buy from a reputable company that is known for great products with great sound quality. Do researches and find which pair will grant you the best frequency response for the genres that you listen, etc. Anyone who pays more than $100 for a product without doing any prior research is a moron. For example, people who wear beats by dre are morons, because they did not do any researches before buying, unless worn specifically for fashion purposes. Always spend a bit of time doing researches before buying anything expensive so you know you have the best possible product for the price you pay.

    • 1. Apple removed it because it is old tech 2. The result of losing the chunky headphone jack made space for a bigger battery 3. It also made it possible to have a bigger Taptic Engine making the fake home button possible. Many more reasons than just for profit. Also, charging ports are replaceable for around $10 - don’t get a new phone.
