That TNT-change is pretty cool, I wonder why Mojang hasn't implemented this yet.
The game is not lagging but the TNT's are.
@@MrBones947better them that the game
It's less realistic and consistent. Good for a plain performance mod, but a little sketch for official vanilla
@@benedict6962 not like lag itself is realistic or consistant
Its how they did it for the XBOX360 edition
Is it just me, or am I more impressed than satisfied that a singular individual has done a change that made TNT so much more fun and easier to use, and the fact that he bet mojang to it? This would be a perfect quality of life mod bro.
Well but i can break redstone
It limits the TNT. It make TNT less consistent. At how much they want to limit, because different computer require different number. Choosing to limit based on computer will only cause problem porting maps, and even more so, multiplayer servers. It's a performance thing, but it will change the behaviour of TNT too, which is not exactly ideal.
@@hamizannaruto Ah okay, I see why changing something that works could be bad... and I see that this would only be compatible for single player servers. Not an optimal optimization, but I feel as if the avant garde approach (like this) to finding something that limits TPS (lag), I feel, is a good direction to go in. But that's just my opinion.
@@memelitteredgames4960 Definitely can. Someone suggest as a game rule which would be great.
it could be fixed with a more "smart" way of deducing which tnt to remove: for every tnt, skip the functions of any tnt that is within a certain fraction of the blast radius of that tnt, unless the other tnt's blast radius is bigger, in which case the tnt should skip its own remaining functions. this way, the only tnts that are omitted are ones that are insignificant anyway.
The interlocking blocks and redstone liquids would have so much value in the world of building and redstone it's insane. A dispensor could hold the liquid, and when activated would transfer down a row, and when not needed dispensor can pick water back up. Not to mention vertical usage since water flows down and vertical redstone is...difficult but not impossible. Aaa, love it.
Just detect water flow with observer
Mojang has to hire this man for his creativity.
I was going to say that too
YES
(and his solution for tnt lag)
Not only that, but he also optimized the source code to prevent lag! They should hire him if only because he was able to do that
@@richardkirkland6805 He did not 'optimise' it but simply added a TNT entity limit. Something Mojang is unlikely to do due to logical inconsistency that will be disliked by more technical players and might also affect large servers.
"Without a single lag" I love how he talks about lag as though it's a physical object, it makes the videos a lot funnier. Love the ideas by the way, great work! I didn't even know you could modify the source code...

@@ElementX lmao don't worry man, we learn something every day, at least you're getting better at English! we all love your videos regardless.

Minecraft if they listened to the community:
2:45 Back in the day, when Minecraft was kind of new, someone made a mod that let you explode ANY amount of TNT "without" lag.... kind of, but not really. The trick was that it let Minecraft use whatever amount of time it needed to calculate the next frame, then it took like a screenshot, and waited for the next frame, screenshot & repeat. Then at the end the program assembled all the images to a video, and THAT video replayed the explosion without any lag. Quite impressive, I think this was made BEFORE TNT explosions got optimized. Unfortunately I don't know the name of the mod, if anyone knows, please tell me.
Hmmm... more contents like this coming soon... Meanwhile, check out my other trashy vids on my channel 😮

This would break the game. His solution is to completely erase TNT before it explodes, so it doesn’t do anything. What’s the point of igniting 10k TNT blocks if most of them won’t explode?
3:00 *Mojang invited you*

Bro edited MC's source code to reduce lag Now that's cool
And Mojang, a huge team of people can’t even do that
And it barely even affects the result of that much tnt exploding if at all, it's amazing!
The redstone liquid is amazing. It should be added in vanilla Minecraft, you did a good job bro.
PLEASE MAKE THIS DOWNLOADABLE..! This is one of the coolest thing I've ever seen in Minecraft
You're the one to really do the things others do as clickbait
Does that zero lag TNT change have any cons? If not you could push for mojang to change it into the vanilla game as they have tried fixing tnt a few times in the past
TNT's in large blocks like these detonate in chain reaction. In vanilla, every explosion causes more TNT's to explode, which causes the lag and potential crash. I believe that his change is that per tick, only a cerntain number of TNT's can explode (f.e. 50), so when the chain reaction overflows this number (more than 50 TNT's should explode next tick), only 50 of those TNT will actually explode and the rest of TNT's will "Wait their turn" even though they should be exploded by now. So basically it will cause that TNT's won't explode precisely when they "should". This will of course happen only in cases where ridiculous amount of TNT's will be placed in chain reaction, so for normal gameplay, I believe there are almost zero cons, unless you have it on some populated server, where every person likes to blow up TNT all the time. Also, it will cause for big amounts of TNT's to blow up for longer time as more ticks will happen from the beginning to the end of the explosion. So explosions won't be bigger per say, but longer.
@@albertoruiz8593 But the destruction will be the same right? Then this will be a great change!
No there is a con, when he says it limits the number of tnts he means that it does that by deleting TNTs until the number of tnts are below the limit so the con is that it DELETES some of the tnts
@@8crafter i don't think it deletes the TNT. Just like the user above said. I think the explosions from the TNT "wait their turn" till they can explode with TNT's that have been alive longer having priority. That's why you see the TNT lagging in one spot in the video bc they have reached the point where they should explode and are waiting on the spot they should till they can.
@@8crafter I think I did everything. I deleted, I also denied creation of new tnt ents, and also set the block to air once the tnt cap has reached

Wow, Mojang should implement a setting "Lagless TNT" which implements exactly your TNT change when activated.
This isn't "lagless TNT". His change is deleting all new TNT entities if there is a certain number of them already. If you want to have the same exact effect, place less TNT.
@@My_initials_are_O.G.cuz_I_am At least it prevents TNT lag... And it looks awesome because you can blow up a huge amount of TNT.
@@Lampe2020 No you can not blow up a large amount of TNT with this, this change makes it literally impossible, *that* is what he did. He didn't optimize TNT at all, he limited the amount of TNT that can explode at the same time, all others get deleted. In those 10000 TNT cubes, 90%+ of the TNT were deleted and never blew up.
@@My_initials_are_O.G.cuz_I_am Yes, it's possible to blow up a large amount of TNT with this modification. At least the TNT blocks, even if not all of them explde. I just mean, spawn in a giant amount of unlit TNT and ignite one of them.
@@Lampe2020 If I want the exact equivalent of using this modification, but in vanilla, I would have to place far less TNT in order to account for all the lost damage. I'm pretty sure 1000 TNT being set off (vanilla equivalent) will lag less than 10000 being set off, 9000 being deleted as entities and 1000 exploding as normal. (this mod) Try to run a world eater or a large tunnel bore with this. You'll just break your machine due to it being inconsistent and not removing a large portion of the blocks it was meant to remove and crashing into them.
