You know that the ratio of male to female doctors (physicians to be specific) is still 1.8 to 1? Nearly twice as much men as woman. I always like seeing a female doctor who knows what she’s doing. • @@krinohs LA is roughly 1/4 times the size of our whole country, and during those 12 days it roughly, if extrapolated, equalled to 1-2 months worth of gunshot wounds here. Even with city size it's still a large number in my opinion. Where I live guns are almost non existant. However, there's a significant knife wound rate to contrast.

      @Cavers@Cavers3 жыл бұрын
    • @@krinohs What no english is not my first language. I simply wanted to say in my uneducated and biased view that the rate of gunshot wounds presented in the video is higher than my percieved normal. And thus found some simple google searched statistics and extrapolated the numbers for calculative comparison. However, there might be other factors to consider, and I am also not an expert which means that those numbers mean nothing.

And I get it I kind of instincitively feel like it's over (I live in Europe) but if you look at teh numbers you can see it's quite the opposite. If you look at what's happening in more and more countries that have more difficulty simply maintaining a lockdown like Europe did you can see that the Pandemic is actually stronger and more prevelant than it was in March/April. I need to remind myself of that! It's just back then it was new and at our doorstep so it felt different to us.

  • This is so informative. It's sad that that this disease has taken so many young lives and yet they're considering it a disease that causes mostly deaths in elderly. I think it's dangerous to make such assumptions. Even thought the high risk people may be most susceptible doesn't mean a lot of young people aren't in danger and dying, because they are. 🙏

    @fralinsandfriends@fralinsandfriends3 жыл бұрын
    • It is a fact that the disease causes mostly deaths in elderly. But it is also important to take into account how big the proportions are. A 1% risk of losing are fantastic odds for gambling while being absolutely horrific if you count deaths in a population of millions.
